1. Trim your hair regularly.

Prevent split ends from forming by going for a trim once every 3 months at your local salon because otherwise, the ends will split all the way up the hair shaft, causing a great deal of damage. 2. Take the right vitamins.

Hot water causes an increase in Sebum production in your scalp and can cause greasiness. Use warm water to wash your hair to avoid that awful greasiness.

7. Boost your natural or dyed hair color

If your hair color seems to be fading, boost it by applying a specialist shampoo and conditioner, after which you can use a color shot or leave-in color protector.

1. Junk Food

Need I explain? You are what you eat so eating junk means your hair will resemble junk! Okay, not quite that bad, but you get the point. Eat healthy foods filled with nutrients and vitamins and your hair will flourish.

2. Too many products!

Don't overdo it with the products. Using too many hair care products at once will simply dull your hair - the opposite effect you are after. Ask your local salon for advice on which products your hair needs.

3. Home coloring frequently

Home-coloring kits are much harder on the health of your hair than those used by salons. Visit your local salon for a hair color treatment that doesn't damage your hair.
