7 Mistakes to Avoid when wearing a Saree
To look gorgeous and sexy when wearing a saree avoid these 7 sins when wearing a saree. As much as these mistakes of saree wearing may seem so out there, there are many ladies who make and continue to make these mistakes.
Wearing front opening Blouse with transparent saree:
A lady must never wear a tight fitting saree blouse which has a front hook opening when worn with a transparent saree such as chiffon or net sarees. The reason is very obvious: the gaps between the hooks or even the crease around the hook area look very unladylike and depending on the severity of faux pass, downright tacky. So ladies avoid wearing saree blouses with front opening when the saree material is thin enough to be unable to hide the mechanisms underneath.
Wearing the wrong blouse
There can be various ways in which the blouse can be wrong for a particular wearer but here I will just mention the grave ones:
a) It reveals too much when the lady clearly does not have the body to show: ladies avoid showing the flab which is better off tucked away. Always wear saree blouse which compliments your body rather than insult it.
b) Too tight or too loose saree blouse are to be avoided at all costs: Too tight blouses bite onto the flesh and utterly ruin the shape of a woman’s natural curves and a saree blouse too loose takes away the sensuous quality of the attire for which it is known.
Wearing the wrong shoes:
Do not make the mistake of wearing shoes that completely overthrow the beauty of the entire look of the saree; i.e. wedges, sneakers, flat Audrey Hepburn Ballet flats (as cute as they look with western clothes it’s a no no when it comes to sarees generally) and the like. So unless the lady in question wants to look as funny as the photograph below of Ekta Kapoor in wedges looking tacky as anything, she’s stick to her pencil heels and more ladylike heels.
Planning a trip in a saree
This one is one of the most hilarious and very common mistakes made by ladies. Carrying a travel bag size ladies bag with a saree. Do these ladies not check themselves out on the mirror before leaving the house or is it that unnoticeable for them. Do not carry a big sack like bag with saree. Carry a small purse and if it’s a business look the lady wants to achieve and has to carry documents which won’t fit in a small party purse then go for a smart and professional looking and at the same time feminine briefcase bag.
Wearing a very short Saree blouse
Who doesn't like a sexy blouse on a girl! Yet there are saree blouses which are too short for comfort or look. Avoid wearing extremely short saree blouses and avoid looking desperate. Flaunt the body in style, not desperation. Instead of looking sexy or traditional, Deepika is looking too revealed for comfort.
Wearing the Saree too low:
All ladies want to look good in sarees and some want to look uber sexy in sarees and just forget how low is low enough when it comes to tying the waist. Showing the navel is sexy so by all means flaunt it if you have the body for it but if your pelvic bone structure is too out there then maybe it’s too low girl. Sexiness and vulgar share a very fine gray line so be wary.
Escape artist called bra strap
We all know how tricky bra straps can be and this is especially the case when wearing a deep backed saree blouse so make use of safety pins to pin the straps in place for a flawless sophisticated look.
Peeking Bra Strap from Saree Blouse is not cool:
