The Top Female Figure Competitors in the IFBB
I did an article a while back on the top ten female fitness competitors for 2010, so I thought I would follow up with one about the top ten female figure competitors.
Figure is similar to fitness, but they don't have the fitness routines, and more emphasis is placed on symmetry and muscle tone.
Think of it kinda like "Bodybuilding Lite".
In 2003, the IFBB (International Federation of BodyBuilders) created the figure division.
The very first IFBB sanctioned figure contest was the 2003 Figure International.
There was the NPC Figure Nationals in 2001, but that wasn't a pro event.
These ladies are usually bigger than the IFBB Bikini competitors (although some figure competitors have crossed over into Bikini) and smaller than the IFBB female bodybuilders.
So here by popularity (no necessarily wins) are the top IFBB Pro Figure Competitors of 2010...
1. Larissa Reis
IFBB Figure Competitor Larissa Reis had quite the decent year in 2010 in the IFBB.
She came in 6th at the 2010 IFBB Arnold Classic, Ms. International, Fitness International and Figure International, and came in 10th at the 2010 IFBB Olympia.
Not the most stellar finishes, but she has a pretty big internet following, so that gave her number 1 here.
She is five feet, five inches tall and weighs between 141 (off -season)and 128 (competing)
2. Mindi Smith
This five foot eight, 120 pound fitness beauty from Los Angeles, California had a pretty good 2010.
Mindi Smith came in 1st at the 2010 IFBB Phoenix Pro, 4th at the 2010 IFBB Arnold Classic, Ms. International, Fitness International and Figure International, and 7th at the 2010 IFBB Europa Super Show.
3. Monica Brant
Monica Brant has been competing in fitness since 1991.
In an industry that usually doesn't have a long life span, that is pretty amazing in itself.
Monica competed in several IFBB Figure competitions in 2009, but never really got the recognition a lot of people though she deserved.
Then in 2010 she jumped ship and went to the rival WBFF (World Bodybuilding and Fitness Federation) where she won the 2010 World's Pro Figure Championship.
I notice though on her website she is still listed as an IFBB Pro Figure Competitor.
4. Jennifer Hernandez
Like Larissa Reis, Jennifer didn't have a killer year, but she got enough attention to come in at fourth.
She came in 20th at the 2010 IFBB Phoenix Pro, 16th at the 2010 IFBB New York Pro Figure, 8th at the 2010 IFBB Europa Battle of Champions and 19th at the 2010 IFBB Jacksonville Pro.
By the way, that 2010 IFBB Phoenix Pro show, was her first Pro competition.
5. Sarah Connors (SaharaMarie)
I've seen this lovely young lady listed under both names.
Maybe the Sarah Connor(s) thing got confusing for some people.
Especially with Arnold hanging about...
Anyway, SaharaMarie (which I kinda like that name anyway) came in 5th at the 2010 NPC Pittsburgh and 16th at the 2010 NPC Team Universe and National Fitness Championships.
6. Erin Stern
If this list was purely by competition, this would be the number one lady here.
This five foot eight, 134 pound lady came in 2nd at the 2010 IFBB Arnold Classic, Ms. International, Fitness International & Figure International, 1st at the 2010 IFBB Europa Show of Champions and 1st AGAIN at the 2010 IFBB Olympia!
I'm expecting Erin to kill next year!
7. Cheryl Brown
Out of everyone so far on this list, Cheryl Brown was the busiest in 2010.
She placed in five competitions last year.
She came in 3rd at the 2010 IFBB Europa Show of Champions, 2nd at the 2010 IFBB Pittsburgh Pro Figure & Bikini, 1st at the 2010 IFBB New York Pro Figure, 11th at the 2010 IFBB Olympia and 1st at the 2010 IFBB Kentucky Muscle Pro Figure.
1st place, then 11th place, then 1st again?
Either she had an off day or the judges were on something.
8. Tina White
Remember how I said this was by popularity?
Well Tina came in 22nd at the 2010 IFBB Phoenix Pro, 16th at the 2010 IFBB Kentucky Muscle Pro Figure and 14th at the 2010 IFBB Fort Lauderdale Pro and came in 8th here.
Of course this five foot seven, 134 pound, blonde haired, green eyed beauty may turn around and own 2011.
You never know.
Oh...did I mention that she's almost 40?
9. Nicole Wilkins-Lee
It may be kinda hard to decide, but Erin might have had some real competition here with Nicole Wilkins-Lee had I decided to go only on wins.
This five foot seven, 144 pound beauty came in 1st at the 2010 IFBB Arnold Classic, Ms. International, Fitness International & Figure International and second at the 2010 IFBB Olympia.
And in 2009, she had first place finishes at the 2009 IFBB Olympia, the 2009 IFBB New York Pro Figure and the 2009 IFBB Europa Show of Champions.
But 2009 doesnt count.
10. Jessica Wright
Jessica may have only had two competitions this year, but she took two years off from competing.
Before 2010, her last competition was in 2008 at the IFBB Kentucky Pro Figure.
In 2010 she came in 12th at the 2010 IFBB Europa Show of Champions and 14th at the 2010 IFBB California Pro Figure.

Nice lens about The Top Ten IFBB Pro Figure Competitors of 2010 .
Ronald Tucker from Louisville, Kentucky on January 19, 2011:
Mindi Smith has my vote!...although she is not as ripped as some of the others on the top ten list, she does have a very vivacious look that is visually captivating. And Ava Cowan, Krissy Chin, and Heather Mae French would definitely make my list. Enjoyed reading the thumbnail bio of each and photos are splendid.
