This is beautiful IFBB Figure competitor and IFBB Bikini Pro Monique (Minton) Ricardo.
Monique was born on August 17th,1984 in Portsmouth, Virginia, and at five foot, ten inches tall and one hundred and fifty pounds, she is pretty darn close to being a modern day Amazon.
Of course growing up reading Wonder Woman comics, Amazon doesn't hold any negative connotations for me.
Monique is half Filipina and half Polish and all gorgeous.

Monique Starting Out
Monique started out doing some runway modeling when she was just thirteen years old and moved on from that into fitness, where she mainly focused on figure competitions.
Figure is kind of like Bodybuilding, but without the emphasis on size and mass.
Monique entered the 2007 NPC California Championships and came in third place in Figure Class A.
Then she entered the 2007 NPC Gateway Classic and won Figure Class B.

Brazilian jiu-jitsu and Grappling
There is another side to Monique though that a lot of people don't know a lot about.
She studies Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu under Eduardo “Eddie” Ricardo (Who is now Monique's husband) and UFC star Rodrigo Nogueira (who retired with a 34-10-1 record).
As a matter of fact, when she was working as a bikini girl at the BSN (Bio-Engineered Supplements & Nutrition) booth in 2009, she went next door to the Naga Europa (The North American Grappling Association) between appearances and won a gold medal in the no gi division!
And if that's not good enough, she turned around and won the Middleweight class in Womens NO-GI Expert at the NAGA Texas Grappling Championship in May 2010.
Just imagine if Monique decided to leave fitness and go full time into MMA....

But right now Monique is busy with the fitness world.
Besides competing, she has appeared on the cover of the 2009 March-April Muscle & Fitness Hers magazine, and she's appeared on the cover of Flex magazine twice.
That's not counting all her other fitness modeling.

I never understood the snow and bikini shoots...but okay.
Monique Updates
The figure competitions, bikini competitions and the MMA career are gonna have to be put on hold for a bit.
Because on February 1st, 2011 Monique announced that she is pregnant.
I just hope that Monique decides to come back afterwards!

More Updates
Monique and her husband had their baby, his name is Maxwell.
She is still in BJJ and has her brown belt now.
And Monique has returned to competing, she came in 10th at the 2012 IFBB Arnold Classic.

"As if to the manner born"...a qoute from model agency founder Nina Blanchard. Monique's physical attributes and athleticskill set is something to be admired. At 5' 10" Monique does have statuques measurements of a gorgeous modern day Amazon.
She has similar features of another Filipina model who has a German father and a Filipina mother named Melyssa Grace who is a successful Import Car and Print model that stands 5' 9" and is gorgeous...like Monique!
