Novelty Cycling Jerseys

Have a little fun with a cool novelty cycling jersey!

If the only solid colored cycling jersey that appeals to you is yellow, help has arrived! This shop has novelty cycling jerseys of every stripe (including striped, like the Alcatraz jersey in the picture!), so you're sure to find one to suit your personality. Chose from your favorite heavy metal band, pirates, cartoon, zombies, super heroes - you name it!

I've pulled in bike shirts from lots of different sources all over the web so you can just do all your shopping here. This page focuses on men's styles or unisex sizing, and with rare exception, short-sleeved styles. There's a whole other page if you're looking for novelty women's jerseys or even some for kids.

It's always cool to me when we're out riding and I see someone wearing one of these jerseys. Granted, I'm in Texas so the most common novelty shirt I see is a Texas one, but I did spot a Switzerland and skeleton on the other day. Folks around here are serious about their cycling, but it's nice to see they are taking a lighter route with their bike clothing.

Beyond the fun and funky designs, these are pretty standard cycling jerseys with wickable fabrics and so forth. Most have the standard three pockets in the back and 3/4 zip in the front. Raglan style, club cut and so forth.

Check out my blog on Novelty Cycling Gear NOTE: Squidoo has closed and this page moved to Hubpages. Since I can't show you everything on here now, everything will be moving to the blog soon.

Movies, Cartoons and Pop Culture Cycling Jerseys

Perfect for the fan boys out there

My husband laments the lack of geek cycling jerseys out there. This category is probably about as close as you can get, but the realm of science fiction and super heroes isn't a strictly geek thing anymore.

So show your fan boy spirit off with pride, whether you want to soar like Superman or drive like Speed Racer!

One of the nicest (and newest) out there is the Brainstorm Gear Star Trek designs in the picture. It shows the Enterprise blazing across the front over a black background featuring the comm badge and says "To Boldly Go ..." across the back.

Dr. Seuss Classics Cycling Jerseys

Do these show off your childish side?

One of my favorite things about the Dr. Seuss jerseys is the back. These guys are cool coming and going. They've slowly released more designs over the past few years. I'm holding out hope still for a Lorax one and one based on Oh, The Places You'll Go!, which they do designs for in bedding. They both just seem to lend themselves to cycling as well, right?

Cartoon Cycling Jerseys

More favorites from when we were kids

There really need to be more cartoon cycling jerseys, folks! Anyone my age would love to see Scooby Doo or Hong Kong Phooey or the Fraggles. They are missing an opportunity here for sure. Still, you can't fault them for the amazing Gumby design, there.

Many of these have already moved over to my blog. You can catch all kinds of cartoon cats such as Felix and Garfield over there, as well as the gang from Sesame Street. Oh!!! And we can't forget Hello Kitty, now can we?

Super Hero Cycling Jerseys

Time to save the day!

There is so much room here for Marvel and DC Comics to bring great designs to cycling jerseys. Or heck, even Disney with The Incredibles. An Aquaman jersey would seem silly, but most of the super heroes are awesome ideas. Ooo, The Flash for sure!

More Super Hero Cycling Jerseys

Too many to list over here, so I've got them posted up on my blog.

Bride and Groom Cycling Jerseys

Just the thing to lead a wedding party group ride!

Totally cute as a pair! But what would you make the rest of a cycling wedding party wear? Hmmm. There are a lot of other tux and suit options for the guys. And plenty of gorgeous floral women's jerseys to consider.

These designs are from ScudoPro, which makes everything for men, women and children. So yes, you could get a bride jersey for a guy. Seriously. And the matching shorts. Send me a picture. :-)

Check out these and other bride and groom options I've found. Not to mention tons of tuxedo jerseys.

Crash Test Dummy Cycling Jerseys

Reflects a little of how a cyclist feels on the road

Occasionally, it feels like your role on the road is to be a crash test dummy. Crash as in a car running you over, dummy because the drivers are too impatient to share the road. Even if you never feel that way, these are still among my favorites for cool designs for cycling jerseys

Political Cycling Jerseys

Because the political season never ends

Just going to say up front that I am not a fan of these political jerseys. It's always possible they could make you more of a target than usual. And maybe I'm just annoyed because there aren't any libertarian options.

Still, if the message you want to send is political, these are probably the jerseys for you. (Republican one is no longer available.)

Grateful Dead Designs

Over the years, there have been quite a few different bands to make it onto a cycling jersey. Unfortunately, most groups end up with few and fewer until they've pretty much disappeared. (Iron Maiden, anyone?)

The Grateful Dead keeps going strong, though. In fact, they've added several new designs to the line in the last year. I'm showing the most recent version of the dancing bears here, but you can see more on my blog.

Food and Drink Cycling Jerseys

Designs to make you hungry!

Hmmm. Is it OK to put the chili dogs next to the vegan food? Not sure about the rules on a real buffet, but there is almost enough here to create a great meal. Oh, and plenty of coffee to wash it down with. Cyclists love their coffee, it seems!

Looking for Something in Particular?

Ken Horwell on August 20, 2019:

I'm looking for a cycling jersey or a company that can make a custom jersey using the "War Pig" emblem used by the rock band Motorhead. Any help would be gratefully received. Thanks.

Philip Huw Davies on September 12, 2018:

I'm looking for jerseys that look like clergy shirts (black or dark blue with a white collar). I'm a vicar and want to get around my parishes more by bicycle than car. Thanks.

Debbie Garrison on November 04, 2017:

Looking for a men's size large dinosaur cycling jersey

Susan (author) from Texas on June 11, 2014:

@caroldeanr: I remember that one. It's been gone a long time, which means your only chance of finding one is probably on eBay. Although, I don't think I've seen one there in a while either. Good luck!

caroldeanr on June 09, 2014:

im looking for the "primal wear" jersey called "bicycle race"...it's pink black and white, and I would like it in a size M.....any chance you know where to find one? it says "queen" on the front, and has a silhouette of a woman riding a bike.....

caroldeanr@aol.com

Susan (author) from Texas on June 04, 2014:

@earsz: I've got some Pacman socks over on that page, but never seen a jersey in that design. Sorry.

earsz on June 03, 2014:

I'm looking for a pacman cycling jersey

Susan (author) from Texas on April 22, 2014:

@Mcwaid: I don't really include team jerseys. Not novelty really, although you can't say they're plain!

Mcwaid on April 21, 2014:

I'm looking for carta Blanca team jersey

Susan (author) from Texas on April 15, 2014:

@Richardhmurphy: Agreed. Never seen one in the past six years, though.

Susan (author) from Texas on April 15, 2014:

@james-jackson: I don't sell or ship these jerseys. You need to click through to check with the actual seller. Many do, but not all.

james-jackson on April 10, 2014:

Hey there. Can you send to the UK? Thanks!

Richardhmurphy on April 08, 2014:

Fred flinstone and Barney rubble from the flintstones. Cycling jersey

chris-albert-167 on March 21, 2014:

A legitimate adult sized Sonic the Hedgehog themed jersey. I mean it just makes sense to have a cycling jersey based off the hedgehog we all know and love, who happens to travel at the speed of sound. C'mon, just picture some cool epic blue design

Susan (author) from Texas on March 20, 2014:

@nikki-shapiro-5: No - unfortunately, large tends to be the size that sells out first in most designs. My best suggestion would be to set up a watch on eBay in case one shows up there. (Maybe someone else will have a better suggestion.)

nikki-shapiro-5 on March 19, 2014:

Hi,

I am trying very hard to find a Rolling Stones cycling jersey (preferably Jungle or Tongue Skinz design) in a Men's LARGE. They are discontinued and I've been looking everywhere. Any ideas who may have one sitting around? Thanks very much, Nikki nikkidawn2@gmail.com

Susan (author) from Texas on February 05, 2014:

@ccscobie: I wish!! i've seen various cartoon characters on shirts from years back, but nothing recent.

ccscobie on February 05, 2014:

What about a Scooby Doo Cycle Jersey??

chrisilouwho on December 01, 2013:

these are great! thanks for sharing

Susan (author) from Texas on October 31, 2013:

@snookerdad: I don't actually sell them and honestly, I haven't seen anything in a smaller size in ages. Those designs have been discontinued, so it's kind of hard to find any of them in any size now. Best I can suggest is to keep an eye on eBay in case someone decides to part with one.

snookerdad on October 31, 2013:

i saw someone riding with star wars jersey but when i search it always comes up as xl only do you have any in L? can you suggest a link?

syzygy47 on September 30, 2013:

Indonesia cycling jersey, Tiger Beer cycling jersey

Susan (author) from Texas on September 17, 2013:

@anonymous: No. You wanting the animated one or from the live-action movie? There were some Disney jerseys several years ago from Giordana, but I think it was all Mickey and Minnie. None of the others. I love the idea, though! Pink and purple striping!

anonymous on September 16, 2013:

Have you ever seen a Cheshire Cat jersey?

Susan (author) from Texas on September 05, 2013:

@anonymous: Interesting. Do they mix a textile medium into the paint before working or would that mess up the consistency for airbrushing? Just wonder how it holds up and washes if they don't. Unless you want a crackle finish! :-)

anonymous on September 01, 2013:

@anonymous: you might consider getting voler jersey (voler.com), which come in all solid colors and have an airbrusher fix it up just like you want. I have about ten jerseys done by airbrushers. One guy was a complete and total dud, the other two have been absolutely top notch. Also bought two of the art jerseys (Michelangelo & Van Gogh)

Susan (author) from Texas on August 25, 2013:

@anonymous: I like that idea! Great to pair with the bride and groom, actually. Fun. But I've never seen anything like that, sadly.

anonymous on August 22, 2013:

I am looking for a clergy cycling shirt jersey. I ride my bike to the hospital to visit patients. It would be cool if it were black with a white tab in front (you know like a clergy shirt!)

Susan (author) from Texas on August 14, 2013:

@anonymous: Dude - excellent timing! I just posted today a big grouping of super hero jerseys, including a couple of places where I was able to find Batman. Check it out at noveltycyclinggear.com

anonymous on August 13, 2013:

Is there a Batman Jersey available?

Susan (author) from Texas on August 13, 2013:

@anonymous: Never seen one, but maybe someone else will. I've seen some with "steel" but not related to what you're wanting.

anonymous on August 05, 2013:

As the proud rider of an 80's Guerciotti, I would like to find an "Only steel is real", or similar jersey...?

Susan (author) from Texas on August 03, 2013:

@anonymous: You, me and everyone! Can't believe those Chinese companies that make unlicensed gear haven't jumped all over this one.

anonymous on July 31, 2013:

Doctor who!

Susan (author) from Texas on July 29, 2013:

@anonymous: Ooo yes! They do a t-shirt, so I don't see why it wouldn't be easy to translate the design over to a jersey.

anonymous on July 29, 2013:

big bang theory...bazinga

Susan (author) from Texas on July 19, 2013:

@anonymous: Ha! That would be great! And not something that would break any kind of copyrights or anything, so you could design one. (Hint, hint.) ScudoPro actually does custom jerseys and takes suggestions for their own line. Although I think that sounds more like something Primal Wear would produce.

Susan (author) from Texas on July 19, 2013:

@anonymous: I wish, but I've never see any of those before.

anonymous on July 14, 2013:

South Park jerseys?

anonymous on July 14, 2013:

Cycling Jersey - denoting -->> Flying Pigs / I only brake for Flying Pigs !!!!

Susan (author) from Texas on July 10, 2013:

@anonymous: Ooooo! Love that idea. ScudoPro does lots of great stuff for Halloween and Christmas, but I've never seen anything for Thanksgiving. Might have to suggest that. Especially the pilgrim. Hilarious!

anonymous on July 09, 2013:

How about a turkey jersey and a pilgrim jersey for thanksgiving day ride?

Doc_Holliday on July 09, 2013:

Having watched a bit of the Tour de France lately, I thought the only color that counted was yellow. Now I know better :-)

Susan (author) from Texas on July 03, 2013:

@anonymous: I don't actually make jerseys, although there are plenty of places that do custom printing for them. However, Curious George is copyrighted and you can't just run around making your own stuff with him on it.

anonymous on July 03, 2013:

Years ago I bought a Curious George Rides a Bike cycling jersey. Wish I'd bought two of them. I can't find them any more. Can you design one?

Susan (author) from Texas on July 01, 2013:

@anonymous: Try using Assos when you do your search. They had a cow print one for a while, although I've found it impossible to track down of late. (And, it was a pretty expensive version at $120.) Good luck!

anonymous on June 30, 2013:

I am looking for black and white cow print design. Any ideas??

Susan (author) from Texas on June 30, 2013:

@anonymous: The only ones still around are the ones I have on this page. Iron Maiden sold out a few years ago and occasionally pop up on eBay. Sorry.

Susan (author) from Texas on June 30, 2013:

@anonymous: You and a lot of other people. But have never seen one as yet, sadly. I'm sure a blue Tardis would sell like crazy!

Susan (author) from Texas on June 30, 2013:

@anonymous: In five years of following this stuff, have never seen a Disney design. I'm sure they'd fly off the racks if they ever put them out, though.

anonymous on June 29, 2013:

Disney jerseys?

Kellylouisa on June 25, 2013:

I never knew you could even get novelty jerseys. Some of these are so cool. There are way too many to choose from, I want a few of them!

anonymous on June 23, 2013:

Looking for a Dr. Who cycling jersey

anonymous on June 18, 2013:

I am searching for cycling jerseys of Rock Groups, like MOTÃRHEAD, IRON MAIDEN, JUDAS PRIEST ...

Can you help me?

Thanks!!

anonymous on May 16, 2013:

@Lewister: yeah, seems like quite the stretch.....unless I design my own custom anime jersey

Susan (author) from Texas on May 14, 2013:

@anonymous: Oh - there should _so_ be anime jerseys! I never even saw those on the PI website, but after some poking around, it seems they sold out everywhere pretty quickly. Definitely a limited release and I wonder if they even sold them in the US. Always a chance a Japanese retailer might still have a few or you could pick one up in an auction, but I wouldn't hold out hope for them being in US stores anytime soon.

anonymous on May 14, 2013:

Any chance there are the Space Battleship Yamato (Starblazers) jerseys available from Pearl Izumi? They were released in late 2012...have to have one in XL!!!

Susan (author) from Texas on May 14, 2013:

@anonymous: Thanks! It's been a labor of love for four years now building this collection.

Susan (author) from Texas on May 14, 2013:

@anonymous: There's a brewery that has a beer with an image like that - a honey blonde brew, I believe. I've always thought they should do a shirt for that brand rather than the others. Would sell like hotcakes, I'm sure! But alas, back to the question, I've seen a few retro poster images with girls, but nothing I would call a pin-up.

Susan (author) from Texas on May 14, 2013:

@anonymous: Now that I would buy! What image would you want though? The porcupine? The Gadsen flag? They could sell them at PorcFest in a couple of weeks.

anonymous on May 13, 2013:

How about a Libertarian jersey?

anonymous on May 13, 2013:

Nice list. I like novelty jerseys and have a couple of the above. I've bookmarked this page and will be back from time to time.

anonymous on May 13, 2013:

I have been looking for a cool jersey with a pinup style girl on it - kind of like an Olivia - Bettie Page print, or Gil Elvgren (preferably not too cartoony). What do you think? Anything in the works like that?

Susan (author) from Texas on May 03, 2013:

@anonymous: Interesting. I wonder if they'll start producing those. They should do a line of all HBO shows.

anonymous on May 03, 2013:

I'm looking for a Game of Thrones cycling jersey, Men's, preferably dark colored with the Stark sigil and "Winter is Coming" on it.

Susan (author) from Texas on May 02, 2013:

@anonymous: I don't make them. And there were a few of the rock ones in women's cuts back when they first came out, but like the men's, they're just gone. And I have a whole separate page just with women's jerseys. You won't find the ones you listed, but it is novelty shirts for us girls.

anonymous on May 01, 2013:

I've been looking for WOMEN'S cycling jerseys - Dr. Who, Rush, Pink Floyd, Porcupine Tree. Would you make some?

Susan (author) from Texas on April 30, 2013:

@anonymous: That would be cool! Too bad you can't make your own like people do with all the tardis scarves and hats. It's entirely possible they offer those in shops in the UK, but I mostly deal with US shops and have never seen one. I definitely would have put it on here if I had.

anonymous on April 29, 2013:

how about 'doctor who' cycling jerseys?

Susan (author) from Texas on April 29, 2013:

@anonymous: Had to go look up this guy because I'd never heard of him! (I think I was way too busy in high school to watch anything but college basketball.) And given how obscure, I wouldn't hold my breath on there being a jersey for him, sadly.

Susan (author) from Texas on April 29, 2013:

@anonymous: Yeah - the heavy metal shirts are definitely on their way out so the best place I can steer you at this point would be eBay. It's next to impossible to find them in the bigger sizes these days.

anonymous on April 28, 2013:

I'm looking for Kiss(band) cycling jersey in a 2X any of the three will do.

anonymous on April 27, 2013:

I would love a Bananaman Jersey or skinsuit. Any chance?

Susan (author) from Texas on April 26, 2013:

@anonymous: It's weird; I see jerseys for MLB, NBA and NHL teams all the time, but never NFL. I wonder why that is. They have licensing deals on just about everything else under the sun. Good luck with your search!

anonymous on April 25, 2013:

looking for a New York Giants bicycle jersey

Susan (author) from Texas on April 17, 2013:

@anonymous: Since I really only poke around places to get jerseys in the US, I don't run across Japanese jerseys really. Almost anything from overseas can be had at a hefty shipping price, or, as you've already been doing, check out eBay.

I've had a couple of beer jerseys over on that page that _look_ like Japanese beers, but they're likely just US beers with Japanese names. Not sure on that one.

anonymous on April 16, 2013:

Looking for Japanese Cycling Jerseys in XL US size (Pit to Pit 22.5 - 24). I see one or two Ukiyo designs on ebay ayear, but it seems no one is selling them retail in the US. Also looking for Japanese Beer or Sake Manufactures Jerseys.

anonymous on April 11, 2013:

@Lewister: I purchased a tie-dye long sleeve mens XL Jersey from ebay last year and wore it many times in the winter and fall here in Las Vegas. Made by Primal "Curl up and Dye" was the name inside of collar..

Susan (author) from Texas on April 03, 2013:

@anonymous: I don't mess around much with long sleeved jerseys, so I'm not familiar with the set you're referring to. Sounds pretty cool, though.

anonymous on March 31, 2013:

I am looking for the long sleeve and pant set of the cyborg pattern that the one and only Lion King used to wear. It makes you look like there are mechanical joints and parts on your body. It has a black base color and gold and silver metal parts.

Susan (author) from Texas on March 17, 2013:

@anonymous: Haven't seen one of those yet. Maybe with the second movie coming out this summer, there will be some on the scene.

anonymous on March 16, 2013:

I am looking for a smurf cycling top

Susan (author) from Texas on March 16, 2013:

@anonymous: I've never seen any Hanna Barbera characters on jerseys, unfortunately. Scooby Doo would be a great choice though. I'd love to see a whole series - one for each character.

anonymous on March 16, 2013:

I'm looking for a Scooby Doo cycling jersey. Have you ever seen one or know where I could get one?

Susan (author) from Texas on March 09, 2013:

@anonymous: Yeah - they've slowly been disappearing. (Loved the Ride the Lightning one!) Not sure why they didn't renew the licenses or keep the designs. Increasingly difficult to find any of the heavy metal jerseys anymore.

anonymous on March 07, 2013:

Several years ago Primal Wear had quite a line up of Metallica cycling jerseys. I was lucky enough to get a Master of Puppets jersey back then. I remember they also had ...And Justice for All and I believe Ride the Lighting. I would love to find some more Metallica jerseys from their best albums!

Susan (author) from Texas on March 01, 2013:

@anonymous: The Spiderman jerseys I have on this page now are the only ones I've ever seen. Never found one based on any of the movies specifically, although I wish they would make them. I'd love a whole Marvel or DC comics collection!

anonymous on February 26, 2013:

Not The Amazing Spider-Man. It's Tobey Maguire Spider-Man.

Wow, what an amazing collection of cycling jerseys - great work! :)

Susan (author) from Texas on February 19, 2013:

Susan (author) from Texas on February 13, 2013:

@anonymous: Assos, I believe, had such a get up at one point, so you might use their brand name in searching. I haven't seen it in a while, however.

Susan (author) from Texas on February 12, 2013:
