Because the referee counted to 10 that doesn't mean us fans have the right to count Nate Robinson out.
As fans of celebrities can we really count Nate out?
Well of course after the referee already did, can we as fans count Nate Robinson out after his embarrassing lost to Jack Paul? Realistically at this point you tuber Jack Paul is an amateur boxer we’re Nate Robinson is not. As great as Nate was as a basketball player and skilled football player those sports doesn’t transition well to a sport like boxing. Taking a hard foul and getting tackled are two different then being punched in the face by someone who spent hours punching things preparing to punch you in the face. The violent nature of Nate‘s knock out covered with Snoop Dogg commenting would force anyone to go into hiding for a while. I don’t think that should be the case for Nate. Therefore I created a list of things that he can do with his new found fame from boxing.
1. Get back into Basketball
I'm not sure why NBA teams treated Nate Robinson like a journey man. Yes his size was an liability but he has blocked shots of Yao Ming, Shaquille O'neal, and LeBron James. There are players that are 6'8 and up that have never blocked any of those three guys shots. Nate also slammed dunk better then players at that height winning 3 dunk contest champions to prove it. At 5'9 he still looked healthy and built like a boxer. Even though he went down fast and shouldn't pick up the boxing gloves again he still had the correct size and weight to play professional basketball again.
2. Start Acting Again
A little known fact about Nate Robinson is he has talent in the entertainment business more then just playing basketball. He has starred in the movie Uncle Drew and he has also had a commercial for Taco Bell as a member of the Denver Nuggets. As short as his acting career is it says a lot about the talent both saw in him. At the time of the film Uncle Drew, NBA player and friend of Nate's Isaiah Thomas made a name for himself. He'd easily would've been the more popular player for the film. Even though he isn't as athletic as Nate Robinson he can also dunk at the same height. Nate filled the role perfectly in the film. The commericial for the Denver Nuggets specializing in Nate's small size and such a big taco. At the time his teammate and captain of the team Ty Lawson could've played the role and may have gotten Taco Bell a few more sales in Denver. The characteristics of Nate fit films better then the other two more popular basketball player which could still be an career outlet for Nate Robinson after this fight.
A big part of Nate Robinson's character is his sense of humor. From pulling pranks on Shaq and Eddy Curry, to his show visiting his celebrity friends homes he has a great sense of humor. Very animated in his delivery I believe he'd have a solid stance on comedy. His first routine could be about his fight with Jake Paul and why it happened. Finish the joke with his thoughts before being knocked out and the popular #NateRobinsonChallenge that people have been doing for the last 18 hours or so. He could be the next Kevin Hart in this department.
4. Try his hand in UFC
Boxing is not for Nate as we all have seen. In the fight, he tried to grab Jake several times which is what we saw him do in the 2006 brawl were he basically won that. In UFC that is a legal way of fighting. Maybe if he challenged Jake Paul to a UFC match things might've been different. Ballator could possibly promote it on a Ken Shamrock vs Frank Shamrock undercard. The battle of the Shamrock's sounds interesting enough to draw some attention. I think he should try this only if he wants a rematch with Jake Paul. I wouldn't recommend purposely fighting anyone else but Jake Paul from this day forward.
