Top 5 Kickboxers in the UFC

5. "The Notorious" Conor McGregor

At number 5 is the UFC's first-ever champ-champ Conor McGregor. Despite Conor being arguably the greatest striker in the UFC and in my opinion the best boxer in the UFC, when it comes to his kicking game there are better fighters that feature on this list. However, Conor himself still has a fantastic kicking game which, we see in most of his fights. McGregor throws various kicking techniques and finds a lot of success with them we saw this most recently in his fight with Donald Cerrone (who himself is a fantastic kickboxer) where he landed a roundhouse head kick to begin the finishing sequence of the fight.

4. Stephen "Wonderboy" Thompson

In fourth place is the NMF Stephen "Wonderboy" Thompson. The nicest man in MMA is also one of the scariest strikers in the UFC and therefore, features on this list. He was also an undefeated kickboxer and a karate black belt. He holds many KO wins in the UFC and even has a spinning hook kick KO on his record. His next bout will take place on the 19 December of 2020 as he faces Geoff Neal.

3. Alistair "The Demolition Man" Overeem

In third place is arguably the greatest fighter to never win a UFC belt Alistair Overeem. He has won a belt in every promotion he has fought in apart from the UFC. He also won the K1 kickboxing Grand Prix and is one of the only fighters to hold major MMA and kickboxing belts at the same time. He has a ton of experience having a 47-18 1NC pro MMA which includes 25 KO/TKO victories. However, Overeem isn't a one-trick pony as he also has 17 submission victories.

2. Israel "The Last Stylebender" Adesanya

Coming in just short of first place is the current UFC middleweight champion Israel Adesanya. Adesanya has over 100 pro fights in MMA, kickboxing and boxing combined. His kickboxing record is 75-5, his MMA record is 20-0, and his boxing record is 5-1 which amounts to 106 pro fights and 100 pro wins in all disciplines. Adesanya has used his terrifying striking to defeat all 20 of his MMA opponents including the likes of Paulo Costa, Kelvin Gastelum, Robert Whittaker, and arguably the greatest UFC fighter of all-time Anderson Silva.

1. Anderson "The Spider" Silva

In first place is one of the GOATs of MMA, Anderson "The Spider" Silva. In his prime Silva was one of the best strikers in the UFC. He went on a 16 fight win streak from the time he joined the UFC to his first loss to Chris Weidmann in 2013. This win streak included 11 KO/TKO wins. Silva also holds the 2nd most consecutive title defences in the UFC at 10. Some of his notable wins include Vitor Belfort, Rick Franklin, Lyoto Machida, Dan Henderson, Forrest Griffin and Chael Sonnen.
