We had two games this past Sunday to help determine who will be heading to this year's Super Bowl and these games did not disappoint unlike the Chiefs did with Phil's bets. We had two rematches as the Bengals looked to make it two in a row vs KC and SF looking to make it 8-0 versus the Rams. After all was said and done we saw KC lose a huge lead once again to Cincy as the Bengals shock the world and become AFC Champions. We saw another team blow a lead as the 49ers were up 17-7 with one quarter left but the Rams would not be denied as they finally win a game vs SF leaving Jimmy G's future in SF in doubt.
CINCY AND JOE BRRR's MAGICAL RUN CONTINUES AND IS HEADING TO LA!!!!!! The Bengals once again come back from an 11 point deficit to defeat the Chiefs but this time it is for a trip to LA to the Super Bowl. Not a lot of people had faith in Cincy in the beginning of the year including Baller Central but as time went on the faith grew. They went from being one of the worst teams in the league to a Super Bowl contender in two years. A lot of people were worried about Joe Burrow after tearing his ACL and wondering if the Bengals O Line would be their downfall. Fast forward to now the O line is still terrible but they have managed to work around it. They are now one of the most must watch offenses in the league with Burrow, Chase, Higgins, Boyd, and Mixon. They have also improved on defense with former Saints Von Bell and Trey Hendrickson leading the way. Don't sleep on this Bengals team anymore because they have beat the top two AFC seeds and looking to beat the Rams who have one of the best offenses and defenses in the league.
Kansas City Chiefs
THE KANSAS CITY CHIEFS COST PHIL OVER 1.2K IN POTENTIAL WINNINGS.... The Chiefs probably let a lot of bettors and fans down as they started off on fire in the first half and just like the regular season flamed out and Cincy won the game on a field goal from rising star Evan McPherson. The offense looked unstoppable in the first half. 21 points and Mahomes completed most of his passes. Tyreek Hill and Travis Kelce looked unstoppable as Hill had 78 yards and Kelce had a good amount as well. Chiefs were on the one yard line about to head into halftime and instead of taking an easy field goal to make it a fourteen point lead they got greedy and try to go for the TD and failed entering halftime with an eleven point lead just like their last game against Cincy. After the half the offense fell flat and inch by inch the Bengals came back. Tyreek Hill did not catch another ball after halftime. Fast forward and the Chiefs who was hosting their fourth straight AFC Championship will stay in KC as they watch the Bengals continue their magical run. After having the game of the year vs Buffalo the Chiefs lose in OT after winning the coin toss. Funny how life works huh?
San Francisco 49ers
The 49ers had SoFi packed like it was their own stadium, they owned a 7 game winning streak vs the Rams, they beat the Rams to get into the playoffs, they had a 17-7 lead entering the fourth quarter, what went wrong? They let the Rams get back into it. Tartt had a chance for a major momentum boost with a potential pick in the Rams side of the field but just like a Super Bowl appearance it fell right through his hands. The Rams came back slowly and when SF had a chance to tie or win Jimmy G had a costly turnover to not only end the game but to possibly end his SF career. Where will Jimmy G end up? How will Trey Lance do as the starter? These questions and more will be answered in the off-season.
Los Angeles Rams
Last year during the playoffs the Rams traded the QB they drafted in Jared Goff for longtime Detroit Lion and one of the most underrated QBs in the league in Matthew Stafford. Fast forward to now they will be playing for a Super Bowl at their home as this year's Super Bowl will be in SoFi. They had an up and down season which ended in them losing giving the 49ers a playoff berth but they exercised their demons and finally beat the niners and most importantly won the biggest game of their rivalry when it mattered the most. They fought back from a 17-7 deficit and now are NFC Champs. Can they be the second team to win a SB in their home stadium? Tune in two weeks to find out!!!
