NFL 10 for 10: Meg and the Giants

Welcome to Baller Central!!!! Basketball and Football articles created by Phil and Akeem

Who are you?

MS: My name is Meg and I am a Giants fan. I am 22 years old and you can follow me on Twitter @sweetgirl2519

BC: Thanks Meg for doing this interview with us!!!! We are very excited to do this with you.

The New York Giants is a part of the NFC East as well as the Cowboys, Eagles, and Football Team.

How did you become a Giants fan?

MS: Born & raised into it!

BC: Well that was short and to the point! Just the way we like it!

The Giants finished with a record under .500 and almost made the playoffs.

Favorite player growing up?

MS: Michael Strahan / or Eli Manning

BC: Even people that aren’t Giants fan, can’t deny the talent that those 2 men posses. So we would have to agree that they are great choices.

Eli and Michael completed the impossible by beating the undefeated Patriots in the Super Bowl.

Favorite game or moment?

MS: Super Bowl XLII

BC: Of course! Anyone would be happy to see their team make it to the big stage. Then to actually win is an even bigger accomplishment.

Thoughts on the Super Bowls vs the Patriots?

MS: Plenty! The giants are a team that are very rough around the edges, no doubt about it. They can also be pretty inconsistent in the regular season, but when it matters the giants show up to play. Defeating the patriots not only once when they were undefeated all season long, but also a second time just proved their competence and overall skill and love for the game.

BC: Those two Super Bowls were phenomenal fuel to the fire of the rivalry between the Giants and the Pats. We are sure we can speak for everyone that everyone is glad that the Giants won both.

Thoughts on the rivalry with the Patriots?

MS: No one can deny the talent of the Patriots organization. But true Giants fans know that Bill Belichick learned the game of football under NY Giants head coach Bill Parcels. I think that’s what really adds to the rivalry of the two teams, knowing that Belichick originated with the NY Giants.

BC: Between 2000-2010 there was a rivalry but as of late it has died down now that Brady and Eli has moved on from their perspectives teams.

Tom Brady’s biggest Nemesis Eli Manning has prevented him from getting two more super bowl rings.

Thoughts on the rivalry with the NFC East?

MS: The NFC East rivalry is a sad tale. The truth is the division hasn’t been great in the overall standings of the NFL for a while, but true NFC East fans know that it doesn’t matter what the records are. Everyone wants bragging rights over the other teams in their division, especially the Cowboys.

BC: This year helped add to the sad tale of the NFC East. No one finished above .500.

It’s been a rough one for the NFC East with everyone being under .500 this year.

Should the Giants have kept OBJ?

MS: When the Giants originally got rid of OBJ I was devastated, but the truth of the matter is that his attitude towards the game negatively impacted his playing in many instances. I think he is an immature player with all the potential in the world, but only he can unlock it.

BC: We can say this deal is a draw. the Giants haven’t been better and the Browns went 11-5 without Odell.

OBJ had a falling out with the Giants and was shipped off to Cleveland.

Thoughts on Eli Manning's career?

MS: Eli Manning is easily Hall of Fame material. With two super bowl championships, and two super bowl MVP’s, they’d be foolish to not put him on the ballot one of these years. He was a true team player, all the way until the end of his career. There’s not many athletes you can say that about these days.

BC: We agree that he will make it to the Hall of fame but it will be later on.

Eli Manning will be a great debate to have on whether he deserves to be in the Hall of Fame or not.

Thoughts on the future?

MS: Well, the future looks bleak with injuries to Barkley and Shepard, but Daniel Jones is just starting to get into his rhythm. This might not be our year, but I have hope and faith in the future of the New York Giants.

BC: The Giants have a decent defense. All they need is to get the offense together and they can be a dangerous team.

Danny Dimes and Saquon Barkley will lead the new era past the Eli era.

Thanks to Meg for taking time out of her day to do this interview with us and representing the Women!!!!!!!
