Citi Field, the Mets beat the Marlins in dramatic fashion 5-4 in 10 innings. They came back from being down 4-0. Escobar was clearly the game's hitting star who drove in all 5 Mets runs. His 2-run HR got the Mets on the board. In the 8th his 2-run single tied the game. And then, he hit the walk-off single in the 10th.

The starters were Jesus Luzardo vs. Taijuan Walker.

In the 4th, De La Cruz hit a 2-run HR off Walker. In the 6, the Marlins added a run when Bleday hit a sacrifice fly to left scoring Fortes.

Walker went 5 innings and allowed 3 runs on 6 hits. He struck out 8 batters. In the 7th, Anderson hit an RBI double to make it 4-0 Miami.

In the 7th, Escobar hit a 2-run HR to make it a 4-2 game.

In the 8th, the Mets had the bases loaded courtesy of three walks. Lindor flied out for the first out. McNeil popped out for the second out. Then Escobar came thru with a 2-run single to tie the game at 4-4.

In the 10th, it was Escobar who finished off his spectacular night with a walk-off single.

The Braves loss to the Nationals in 10 innings. So the Mets are back in 1st place in the NL East by a game.

They have Thursday off then play a crucial 3-game series with the Braves in Atlanta.
