Teeth are not only essential but integral to digestion and beauty as well. Nobody wants to lose them at all. In a wrestling ring, getting pinned to the mat for three seconds is bad, being forced to tap out is worse, but for any wrestler the concept of concussions, injuries, bleeding and broken teeth are one of the most painful things to experience. I must reckon that 'Sweet Tooth' aren't exactly the perfect words to precisely describe what you are about to read in this article that lists five of the well-known international wrestling stars who lost their teeth during a match and also managed to continue and finish the match in spite of that. This not only displays their professional attitude towards the sport but also highlights their passion and dedication to their fans.
When we talk about wrestling, the only acronym that comes to our minds is the WWE. Wrestling fans usually question each others what time does WWE come on?This is how popular this entertainment spectacle really is. Lost teeth might win wrestling medals but no wrestler wants to lose them while wrestling WWE wrestling stars. There have been a few instances where wrestlers have sustained career threatening injuries, concussions and nonetheless, broken teeth. Talking about teeth, whether they are real or not, I don’t believe that anyone would want to lose them anyway. Apart from the five superstars listed below, there are a couple of more names such as the likes of The Miz and Nikki Bella that could be added to this list but the undermentioned are the most suitable ones. Everybody love their teeth and trust me nobody don’t want them to be knocked out the way these following five WWE Superstars have got theirs knocked out.
1. Jeff Hardy
Jeff Hardy is known for his daredevil leaps and gravity defying jumps. He lost his pearly white at a WWE pay-per-view event called Payback in the year 2017 in a match alongside his brother Matt against The Bar (Sheamus and Cesaro). Hardy has taken quite a lot of bumps and painful shots while wrestling during his career that spans over a period of 2 decades now including the one that happened at Payback 2017. Hardy may have successfully defended the WWE RAW tag-team championships with his brother Matt; however, this came at a cost of a tooth. At one point of the match, Sheamus performed a vicious stiff kick to the face of Jeff Hardy, knocking out his teeth which could be seen flying out of his mouth in a video clip of the match. Soon after the match, Hardy was given medical attention and his broken tooth was recovered.

It's your body, use it...amuse it...because one day, you're gonna lose it!
— Jeff Hardy.
2. Chris Jericho
This one wasn’t really a whole tooth being knocked out rather a large chunk of the tooth being broken halfway. At No Mercy Pay-Per-View event in the year 2008, the then World Heavyweight Champion Chris Jericho went up against The Heartbreak Kid Shawn Michaels in a Ladder Match for his world title. Early in the match, Jericho tasted his own blood following a nasty ladder shot in which Michaels smacked a ladder right in the face of Jericho. The impact caused Jericho’s upper left tooth to be shattered while blood was seen gushing out of Y2J’s mouth throughout the match. Despite this, the two went on to put a tremendous match with Jericho successfully defending his world title and emerging victorious. Although Michaels lost the match, he took a part of Jericho with him – The tooth of Jericho. I guess this could be the perfect payback by Michaels for when Jericho punched his wife right in the face during a promo after which Jericho acknowledged that Michaels actually did do what he had promised him, that was to shove his teeth down his throat.
At a live WWE event in Las Vegas, Nevada back in the year 2016, 'The Queen of Harts' Natalya teamed up with Carmella and Alexa Bliss to take on the team of Becky Lynch and Nikki Bella in a 3-on-2 Handicap Match. During the match, Natalya had her two front teeth knocked out. However, it is unclear how she had them knocked out but like a true Hart she continued to finish the match. Natalya may have lost two front teeth but she had not lose her smile as she took to Instagram posting a selfie along with the caption “Just grabbing two new front teeth! All in a days work!”. After having emergency dental work, she posted another selfie of her new front teeth.
Did you know?
Natalya is a former 2 time women's champion, having won the Divas and SD Live Women Championships during her career.

At a WWE pay-per-view event No Mercy 2017, 'The Swiss Cyborg' Cesaro and his tag team partner Sheamus were booked to face the reigning WWE RAW tag-team champions Seth Rollins and Dean Ambrose for the tag titles. Near midway through the match, Cesaro hit face first onto the ring post and as a result of this brutal connection his upper front teeth were forced to be pushed up 3 to 4 mm into his upper jaw as blood drool down his mouth visibly during the match. Like all the others in this list, credit to Cesaro, who soldiered on to finish the match in a losing effort and followed by taking a selfie backstage with his tag team partner Sheamus. This later led to the fans to refer the Swiss Cyborg as the thwith thyborg. Ouch!
5. Mick Foley
Finally, the most famous of them all is of the hardcore legend himself. Back in the Attitude Era, Mick Foley aka Mankind emerged as one of the biggest names and arguably one of the greatest hardcore wrestlers of all time. Foley lost his front teeth in a match at a WWE pay-per-view event called King of the Ring back in the year 1998 against The Undertaker in the unforgettable hell in a cell match. Less than two minutes into the match, The Undertaker threw Foley off the top of the 16-foot structure onto the Spanish announcer’s desk.
As GOD as my witness, he is broken in half.
— Jim Ross.
A few minutes later in the match, another memorable moment occurred in the match when The Undertaker chokeslammed Foley through the top of the cell into the ring. Foley’s teeth came out as a result of the impact of a chair that smacked him right in the face which followed him down to the ring as he crashed hard onto the mat. Despite being concussed and having sustained several injuries during the match including a dislocated jaw, bruised ribs, dislocated shoulder and internal bleeding, Foley successfully managed finish the match in a losing effort. They don’t call him the hardcore legend for nothing.
Have a nice day!
Wrestling is an entertaining sport and these professionally trained performers give their all in the ring to entertain audiences around the world. Their stellar performances are truly worthy of being appreciated with due applause for the effort these guys put in for the sake of entertainment. I heard a dear friend of mine saying that life is short, so smile while you still have teeth. :)

Cesaro's really felt like that. I could feel my heart in the neck lol. This was some real damage done but I commend how he managed to finish the match.

Cesaro's was memorable. I remember thinking he lost his chops but wondered why it looked like he still had teeth. When I heard they were just rammed up there, my blood curdled.
