Author is a football lover and is playing the FPL game since the last 3 years
You all must be familiar with the Fantasy Premier League game . For those oblivious .. It is an online game authorised by the premier league featuring all the players playing in real games and scoring points as per their performances in those matches. Let us see the players you can pick for this very vital double game week of the premier league :
Teams that are playing twice this game week are :-
It will be a sensible option to get maximum players out of these teams looking at their fixtures if you are planning to take a hit ( which can be very well recovered given it's a double game week ) or by using chip. Here are 4 key players that I think can give you a lot of points this week -
1. Defender - John Stones ( Manchester City )
With six clean sheets in the last 8 premier League games, John Stones has transformed Man city's defense alongside his centre-back partner Ruben Dias. At only 5.0M .. John Stones provides a safe and cheap defensive option and with City playing Crystal Palace and Aston Villa this week, it won't be an unusual thing to expect two more clean sheets from the English stalwart.
2. Midfielder - Tomas Soucek ( West Ham )
The Hammers midfielder is a classic example of a valuable budgeted player. At just 5.3M .. The West Ham youngster has piled up 77 points contributing in a lot of goals and assists recently. With his next two opponents are the bottom ranked sides in Burnley and West Brom, it can be expected of Soucek to be involved in few goals and thus giving a lot of points to his managers.
3. Midfielder - Sadio Mané ( Liverpool )
The Liverpool and Senegal star has not had the success that the reds fans were expecting this season. However, he was the best player on the pitch in Liverpool's loss against Southampton and scored 2 against Aston Villa in the FA cup which might be signs of him recapturing his lost form. Liverpool face Man United at home and Burnley away and Mané is perhaps the most likely out of Liverpool forwards to break the low block of Burnley with his creative play at the left wing. I think it's worth a shout on him being ahead of Salah in the pecking order for this week.
4. Forward - Jamie Vardy ( Leicester City )
The Leicester City star and one of the contenders of the golden boot Jamie Vardy is having a successful season so far and has played a huge part in the strong position of his team at the points table. Vardy faces Southampton and Chelsea this week and while both have been pretty solid defensively, it is expected of someone of the caliber as Jamie Vardy to breach their defense with the help of his team's impressive midfield and score a couple of goals in the two games he is featuring. Vardy is a strong contender to be given the captain's armband as well since he can have a feast day and it will feel like a lottery for his managers.
Those are my four picks to keep an eye on this week. Hope you enjoy playing the FPL and rack up a lot of points on this double gameweek.
