Fantasy Football Players to Avoid

Welcome to Baller Central!!!! Basketball and Football articles created by Phil and Akeem

Just like our previous article where we told you some players to draft here is our article to tell you players to avoid from drafting. These are players that will not only disappoint you but frustrate you and make you wanna drop them faster then Evan Engram dropping passes. Let's get started!!!

Quarterback

Daniel Jones has underwhelmed his first two years but has Kenny Golladay now so maybe he can turn it around in a put up or shut up season.

Phil's Pick

Russel Wilson. I know its a surprising name that could definitely prove me wrong but hear me out. O-Line didn't get better and he had an amazing first half of the season but burnt out the second half. Now teams are on to him and the Seahawks so expect pressure coming to Russ this year as he runs for his life.

Akeem's Pick

Hmm... I'd have to go with Joe Burrow. While he did play well last year, finishing with 3 rushing TDs and 142 rushing years in 10 games the Bengals are unlikely to want him that exposed again. Let us not forget he is battling an ACL recovery so it will be an uphill battle for him this year.

Running Back

Todd Gurley is now a Baltimore Raven looking to turn his career around after injuries.

Phil's Pick

Chase Edmonds was a very popular option last year and so was Kenyan Drake but both options did not pan out. Now this year James Conner replaces Drake and now has the potential to be a touchdown vulture to Edmonds. Plus Edmonds had the chance to show out last year and didn't avoid him if you can.

Akeem's Pick

Chris Carson was an effective running back in the past. But his history of injuries make me nervous for anyone who picks him. He hasn't played all full season worth of games yet, and I don't see that happening again this season as well.

Wide Receiver

Mike Evans will expect to see a drop in productions with a lot of mouths to feed and brady getting older.

Phil's Pick

As you see by the picture Mike Evans is my choice. He is a very talented WR that will be somewhat productive but he won't be as productive as you think. He shares the field with Rob Gronkowski, Antonio Brown, Chris Godwin, Scotty Miller, Cameron Brate, OJ Howard, and many more plus Mike Evans is a great jump ball player but with Brady a lot of those 50/50 balls that Jameis threw won't happens as much. There are plenty of other options that will produce more.

Akeem's Pick

As much as I like this guy, and his legacy is already cemented as one of the best receivers of all time, its going to have to be Julio Jones. He's currently dealing with a leg injury. And while it isn't super serious, it is a little concerning. It also doesn't help that the Titans ranked almost last in the league in total passes to receivers.

Tight End

Evan Engram has been underwhelming for a while now and he shouldn't even be your last ditch effort.

Phil's Pick

EVAN ENGRAM SHOULD NOT BE DRAFTED BY ANYONE. His hands are made of stone and I have no clue how he got a pro bowl nod last year. I can say a lot more about Evan Engram but I don't wanna make this article too long so I will just say avoid this man at all costs.

Akeem's Pick

Phil may not be happy about this but I'm going to have to go with Hunter Henry. Not because I don't think he's good. But because it's not even set in stone who the starting TE is going to be. It's also not completely clear who the QB will be. So I'd avoid him just for the simple fact of he may produce one week and then do nothing the following week.

Those are our picks for players you should definitely avoid while you are drafting. Hope you enjoyed the second part of this article and hope we helped you have successful drafts to start off your league right!!!!
