FPL game week 29 - Top 4 picks

Author is a football lover and is playing the FPL game since the last 4 years

A blank game week and the last one before the first international break of this year. The first priority of viewers and the English football management alike for this week will be the FA cup with only 8 teams playing 4 games this week in the league who have been ousted from the cup competition and had one or two of their matches postponed earlier in the season. With only 4 matches in this nearly blank week, It is a great opportunity for the FPL managers to top this game week by using their chips or selecting the right players. Here are the top 4 buys who can give you fruitful results :-

1) Defender - Joachim Andersen

Fulham are having a fine run in the later part of the season and are pushing forward to get rid of the relegation zone. Their most valuable player in this late surge has been the defender Joachim Andersen. Keeping five clean sheets in the last eight games, Andersen was one of the contenders for the player of the month in February. Priced at just 4.5M , the cottages defender is slowly coming on the radar of the FPL managers and you can expect his bare ownership of 0.6% to rise up in few hours before the deadline ends. Playing Leeds United this week, the Danish man would like to repeat his match winning performance against the champions Liverpool which really gave his team a hope of escaping relegation zone.

2) Midfielder - Pascal Groß

Team in a good run, easy opponents, most likely to be on penalties duty. These three things can make the Brighton and Hove Albion midfielder Pascal Groß a wildcard pick this week. Brighton have had some major issues with their attack especially with penalties which they missed twice in one game (one of them by the man in question) against West Brom leading to their defeat but that shouldn't count Groß out from converting one if he gets a chance again. At just 5.0M , Groß is a solid midfielder pick if you want one this week.

3) Midfielder - Jesse Lingard

What a turnaround this guy has had ever since he joined West Ham from Man United on loan. Securing 44 FPL points in just 6 games , the English winger got a much deserved shout for the player of the month award for February and a call back to the England National side for the friendlies coming up. West Ham play Arsenal this week who are ever inconsistent and the winger priced at 6.1M, will look to extend his great run of form and keep his side in a strong contention for a Europa League spot next season. Jesse could be a great differential pick to give the captain's armband as well.

4) Midfielder - Raphinha

The Leeds United midfielder has become one of the favorites of FPL managers due to his consistent returns. Securing 99 FPL points so far, the Brazilian midfielder might have a bigger duty to create chances and convert them if Patrick Bamford stays out due to an injury. At just 5.6M , Raphinha is a utility pick who can be kept consistently in the squad to get cheap returns. His team's next two games are against the teams that are currently in the relegation zone so it just might be the right time to bring him in and get good FPL returns.
