Fun Kids Gift: Laser Tag System for Everyone
Kidzlane Infrared Laser Tag is the best kids toy that we have ever owned. It has not only kept my kids occupied for hours, but it is really fun.
Purchase in sets of 2 or 4 Laser Guns. All laser guns work together interchangeably.
A friend and I took our kids to a local indoor laser tag arena and I felt like a little kid again. I couldn't stop laughing and don't remember the last time I had so much fun. Paying $20 for a 15-minute indoor session at an arena was a bit much, so I searched online for an at-home version. I now have unlimited amounts of fun at home with my kids.
Laser tag at home isn't just for kids. I have three kids and each has a set of guns. It's a great workout and fun for everyone. I don't know of many other kid-friendly toys that offer hours of fun and exersize for the whole family.

Kidzlane Infared Laser Tag Reviews
VERIFIED AMAZON REVIEW: "We purchased these for our grandkids to have something to do outside on Thanksgiving day. We really didn't know what to expect, but so far, have been very pleased. The quality seems good, they were dropped several times, nothing broke and they're still working fine. The kids and even some of the adults had a great time with them. It took just a few minutes to get used to them and to learn the different modes. They've now been used 3 different times for several hours each time and we haven't had to replace batteries. Everyone has enjoyed them so much that we just purchased 4 more as a Christmas gift for our grandson."
VERIFIED AMAZON REVIEW: "Lots of fun for kids and adults alike. Once you get used to the team settings and different gun modes these are really easy to use and great fun. After some tests we found that the triple shot (machine gun) was the most powerful with the longest range. The shotgun mode is just as powerful, but is only good for fairly close range. The pistol mode is the longest range, but the weakest. The rocket launcher is a medium range and the most powerful."
VERIFIED AMAZON REVIEW: "I normally don't write reviews but there's always an exception to the rules. I got these laser tag guns for my son's 9th birthday. They turned out to be the best present ever. You can play with them in or outdoors of course. If you want kids to exercise give them these and they'll be running, jumping and rolling shooting at each other. I had no problem with the guns. Well....the only problem I had was that I only brought four. Now I have to buy two more so his other cousins can all play at the same time instead of taking turns. This was worth the money!"

There are no actual laser light beams of any kind, so it is perfect to play in the dark and it won't be an issue.
Cindy on March 29, 2014:
Does this have actual laser beams like the indoor ones? If we play at night can the kids see the lazer being shot?
Jolie Jordan (author) on July 12, 2013:
As long as there are barriers to hide behind, this game is fun. Walls, doors, beds, furniture...etc. Being outside is also fun because they can really run. The area doesn't need to be big, it just needs some barriers and they will have a blast! The reason my kids love this system is that it does work inside AND outside. Your nephew will love it!
Candy girl on December 23, 2012:
I want to get this for my nephew for christmas this year and i think it will be perfect however we do not have a very big house or a very big yard. Will this still be as fun for him to play with as i thought?

Jonathan ~ I bought my Lazer Tag on Amazon http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0026J7EIO/ref=as... .
Currently, the ones with attachments are well over $300 on Amazon. Sellers can charge what ever they want. In my opinion...crazy price. Even without the attachments, it works just the same. My kids like to play without the attachments, since it plays the same and the gun is easier to handle.
Jennifer ~ The boys will rave about the party. know it will be a success!
You can use anything that will stand... trashcans... boxes (you can get them cheap at a truck rental place)and prop them up...folding chairs or a bike with a towel thrown over them, tables (fold up or plastic) turned on their side ...park a riding lawn mower in the yard... the ideas are endless.
Let us know how the party went!
Jennifer White on September 02, 2011:
I am doing this for my ten year old's birthday! He is not going to even know about the lazer tag activity until the party! :) I have four so far (two boxes) but waiting anxiously til payday to buy six more guns (3 boxes) Thankyou for your review. Others and esp yours convinced me these were the ones to go with. It does seem an awesomely fun idea. The city we live in does not have a lazer tag facility at all but I think I'm glad for it or I would not have wracked my brain and come to this conclusion. to just own them and play ANYTIME! I am also trying to get him away from the video games and more into playing like a normal kid and I know this will do it!
I really want to do what you have done with the birthday party...with the places to hide.. that is so creative! What did you use? I am looking for ideas on how to have makshift structures to hide behind for the party if you could give me ideas? Thank you!

where did you get yours the first time with the attachments
Jolie Jordan (author) on July 26, 2011:
I'm not 100% sure. Mine definitely did come with the TV connector. I did find another Lazer Tag that definitely comes with the TV connector, but that Amazon seller is charging over $370 for it. Crazy, but hey, some people are buying it!
Here is the link to the more expensive game. Hope this helps...click link below...
jonathan hall on July 26, 2011:
Did it come in the box that shows up when you click the amazon link?
Jolie Jordan (author) on July 25, 2011:
Yes, the system that I received DID come with everything needed to play it on any TV.
My kids enjoy playing on the TV when there is no one else around to play against. It has different levels and they love the challenge of getting higher in the levels.
As you go higher in each level, you earn points to select bigger and better guns for the next level.
jonathan hall on July 25, 2011:
does it come with all the attatchments like the plug to go to the t v
Jolie Jordan (author) on March 21, 2011:
We use regular batteries in our system, so I can't comment on the rechargeable batteries.
I use the batteries from the Dollar Store. I feel they are just as good quality as other batteries...and 1/4 of the price.
Scott on March 21, 2011:
do you recommend rechargeable batteries? or is the 1.2v too weak?
Jolie on January 09, 2011:
Connie~ The Lazer Tag System by Hasbro is the system that is on this Hub. Many different Amazon sellers sell it on Amazon. Some Amazon sellers can really hike up their prices when it is in high demand or inventory is low.
As long as you buy the Lazer Tag System from Hasbro, you are getting this system, but prices do vary depending on the Amazon seller.
connie on January 09, 2011:
What's the big difference between the $39.99 set and the higher price one at $199? Are the totally different system?
Jolie Jordan (author) on November 26, 2010:
The laser has a red dome on the top of the gun. That dome must be hit to register as hit. Our system seems very accurate inside and outside.
A few of our neighbors got this for their kids, too. All the kids play outside a lot and have no complaints.
Ty on November 26, 2010:
With my old system, you can hide behind a wall and still get hit. When outdoors any shot, accurate or not, seems to register a hit. Does your newer system do this?
Jolie Jordan (author) on November 15, 2010:
I am so glad that you asked this question!
That is a crazy price from Amazon. I was able to find an Amazon seller with a price of $59.99... MUCH more reasonable. I changed the links on this HUB to reflect that pricing.
Amazon has great pricing, but as it gets closer to holiday shopping time, you'll notice that some sellers really jack up pricing for items that may be low on stock, because some shoppers are willing to pay the premium to get the item.
Here is the link to the MUCH better pricing!
I also added a link near the videos.
Good luck...the kids will LOVE it!
Carrie on November 15, 2010:
Lots of help, thanks, But, looking online and there is a $400 system multiplayer hasbro and then a 2 person system for $39.99, which do you have?
Jolie Jordan (author) on February 04, 2009:
exodusms~ Thanks for the kind words. Yes....the system is very accurate. I know what you mean about some not being very accurate. That is why we love this so much. It is right on. The kids never complain about it not working.
You can tell when it's time to change the batteries because the sound is a little slow and it seems that you get hit, but your shots don't take down the other guy. New batteries fix that problem.
You can see in the videos that is is very popular with the real Laser Addicts.
exodusms on February 04, 2009:
Great review, I had always seen these laser tag guns in the store and wondered if it was worth it. How reposive and accurate is the actual system, for instance in the past I have had guns that you shoot 10 times and it never registers a hit?
