Reported Last week by Adam Schefter it was known that Aaron Rodgers wants out of GB due to them not helping him out in any way. GB has not given him much help minus Davante Adams and Aaron Jones. Plus having a disastrous ending to this year‘s NFC Championship it made AR even more upset. Down below are some destinations we believe are on Rodgers list.
San Francisco 49ers
Current QB’s on Roster: Trey Lance and Jimmy Garoppolo
Pros: Playing for home state and phenomenal defense when healthy. Plays with one of the best TE‘s in the league in George Kittle and upcoming WRs in Brandon Aiyuk.
Cons: In the same conference as GB. More defensive minded and run first offense. Plays in one of the best divisions in NFL in the NFC West with Seahawks, Cardinals, and Rams.
Likelihood: Somewhat Likely We saw this as a hot spot for AR during the draft but all of a sudden they have slipped down the ranks.
Green Bay Packers
Current QB’s on Roster: Aaron Rodgers and Jordan Love
Pros: It’s home for Aaron ever since they drafted him to replace Brett Favre. Now the same has happened to him. It’s an offense he’s familiar with. He has also won a championship with this team so there is a nostalgic factor as well.
Cons: The Packers have not given Rodgers much help recently and all the frustration of it may have finally boiled over. They have not drafted many offensive weapons or grabbed much in free agency. Plus their latest NFC Championship game debacle didn’t help at all.
Likelihood: Top option. I believe that he will finish out his contract with GB or at least play this year and then finish his career somewhere else.
Las Vegas Raiders
Current QB’s on Roster: Derek Carr
Pros: They have Josh Jacobs and emerging TE Darren Waller alongside now second year player Henry Ruggs III. Also having John Gruden as a coach is always a plus. Plus their defense is improving.
Cons: They have been underperforming recently and depleted most of their amazing O-Line. While the defense is improving it still has its ups and downs in the secondary and LB core.
Likelihood:Fourth option. I believe that there are better options out there and you will see in this article.
Washington Football Team
Current QB’s on Roster: Ryan Fitzpatrick and Taylor Henicke
Pros: Up and coming offense and defense coached by Ron Rivera. Starting with the offense they have an amazing WR in Scary Terry McClaurin while former Panthers WR Curtis Samuel joins the ranks. Also they have very talented RBs in JD McKissic and Antonio Gibson. On defense they were very stingy with now second year player and former Ohio State product Chase Young leading them. This team could be an Aaron Rodgers away from contending especially in a winnable division like the NFC East.
Cons: This is a fairly young team so it may take some time for them to get playoff experience. Also they are an NFC Team so they Packers would not likely trade Rodgers to them.
Likelihood: Third option. With a lot of upside with this team they can be contenders right away but there is one team I have that isn’t the Packers that gives AR the best chance to win.
Current QB’s on Roster: Drew Lock
Pros: An already amazing defense that just added Patrick Surtain. This defense has Bradley Chubb, Von Miller, Justin Simmons, and many more. Plus the offense isn’t no slouch either. Courtland Sutton will be back from injury, Jerry Jeudy has a lot of potential, and if Noah Fant can stay healthy he can be a productive player. This would be the best Non-GB landing for AR as this is the best defense out of the choices and a decent offense.
Cons: The only negative about this landing spot is that you would have to go up against Patrick Mahomes and the Chiefs twice. That may be good for TV ratings but not good for anyone in there way.
Likelihood: Second option. This is the best Non-GB landing spot for AR. I believe he will be here via trade or when his GB contract is up if this team is still built like this.
There was our possible destinations for Aaron Rodgers!!!! Who really knows at this point where Mr. State Farm can go. He could retire and become Mr. State Farm and Mr. Jeopardy all together. Only time will tell.
