The Enigmatic, the Irish Young Gun, the Demon King Finn Balor has quickly ascended the ranks of the WWE totem pole as being one of the most impressive stars on the modern day roster. With his spectacular look, whether in his demon attire or sporting his leather jacket combined with his quick, hard-hitting offence; Finn has shown that being small does not mean that you can't hang with the big boys. Finn Balor started in the ranks of NXT in which he quickly gained success becoming the NXT Champion and also holds the record currently of being the longest reigning NXT Champion of all time. He then ascended to the Main Roster as the fifth overall draft pick in 2016 (which is very impressive as he was drafted before former world champions), going on to become the Number 1 contender for the WWE Universal Championship winning a fatal-four way match as well as beating Roman Reigns on the same night. Then, moving on to winning the Universal Championship and becoming the inaugural Universal Champion. Though Balor was injured in the match and had to relinquish the championship, fans are eagerly waiting for Finn's next opportunity for the championship.

1) The Bullet Club

Many fans who followed Finn Balor's career before WWE (which was 'too sweet') would know about the group called The Bullet Club. Finn then known to fans as Prince Devitt, after his multiple accomplishments in the tag division with his then partner Ryusuke Taguchi and his accomplishments in the Super Juniors division went on to turn on Ryusuke and created the group The Bullet Club with close friend and current WWE Superstar Karl Anderson along with Bad Luck Fale and Tama Tonga in New Japan Pro Wrestling (N.J.P.W). The group has taken the wrestling business by storm wreaking havoc, taking names and titles in every company which they perform in. The WWE's version of the Bullet Club, The Club with original Bullet Club leader Karl Anderson, Luke Gallows and AJ Styles has not included the actual real leader of the Bullet Club, Finn Balor as yet. Balor, left the club as the leader in 2014 as he left NJPW in order to pursue a WWE career. His leadership in the club was taken over by current WWE Superstar and a member of The Club, AJ Styles. Many fans are hoping that one day WWE decides to put the band back together with all 4 members, Karl, Luke, AJ and Finn side by side taking over the company.

2) Age?

Taking a look at Finn Balor, you would think that he is about 25-30 years old with how good he carries himself. However, Finn Balor is actually already 35 years of age. Born on July 25, 1981. He certainly does not look like the age of 35 especially considering many people younger than him actually look quite older than him. Finn has been in the wrestling business since June of the year 2000 before established wrestlers like Randy Orton (37 years old) and John Cena (40 years old). However, Randy and John made their WWE debuts in their young 20's. His age puts him near the ranks of John, Randy, Dolph Ziggler and Kofi Kingston. However, he may be new to the WWE but he has wrestled for 17 years and is far from being a rookie even if he has only been in WWE for 3 years.

3) Comic Fan

This fact may not be a surprise to any fans of Finn Balor. Finn is actually a big comic book fan which can be reflected in his demon character with the face paint that he sports which look like it came straight from being a top villain in comic book series or a video game series. His love of comic books is even shown in how he portrays the character with his walk to the ring and general gestures. He absolutely loves comic books along with their characters and has worn several types of comic book character- themed face paint to the ring before he was in WWE such as Freddy Kreuger, Venom, The Joker, The Punisher and even Spiderman (many of his entrances wearing these characters can be seen on youtube by just searching them in the search bar). Balor has stated that he comes up with the paint themes himself and has a professional painter apply the paint to his body before he has a match which sometimes takes hours in order to perfect and complete. Before he entered the wrestling business he was actually interested in becoming a comic book artist.

4) NWA and Becky Lynch?

The Irish prince trained and made his professional wrestling debut at NWA UK Hammerlock in 2000 at the young age of 18 and became a 2-time NWA British Commonwealth Heavyweight Champion. He then went along with fellow professional wrestler and graduate of NWA UK Hammerlock, Paul Tracey to create his own professional wrestling school and his own wrestling promotion in 2002, in Ireland, NWA Ireland, which was a branch of the famous wrestling promotion the National Wrestling Alliance (N.W.A) which is a promotion of deep pro-wrestling roots created all the way back in 1948. Finn Balor helped to build the brand as well as train several wrestlers, one known to WWE fans as former Smackdown Women's Champion, Becky Lynch, then known as Rebecca Knox who is also an Irish professional wrestler as well.

5) RISE and Shinsuke Nakamura

The wrestling of Japan is made consisted of a very hard-hitting impactful style, with amazing matches and also a bunch of wrestling stables. During Finn's time in Japan, he has been a member of many top tier stables as notably mentioned before The Bullet Club. He quickly joined a group called, The Counter Terrorism Unit lead by Japanese wrestling legend Jushin Thunder Liger and then quickly went on to join current WWE Superstar Shinsuke Nakamura in a group called RISE. Shinsuke Nakamura was the group's leader and wrestled along Finn in several six-man tag team matches. Finn also wrestled in tag matches with Minoru Tanaka while a member of RISE in which the two won the IWGP Junior Heavyweight Tag Team Championships on two occasions.
