The Holy Man the Upside Down Preacher

I am a mother of three wonderful adult children, and I'm also a born-again Christian. I love to share my personal experiences.

The One Who Turns The World Upside Down

Every once in a while the Lord will give me a few words out of nowhere, sometimes in my thoughts or dreams, visions, and even in a clear soft audible voice. In fact He has also given me prophetic messages that eventually came to pass. So when this happens I am trying not to just let it slip on by. I want to take these words as a message that I believe He wants me to share. So that is exactly what I will be doing here in this article.

'The Holy Man, The Upside Down Preacher'. This is the message I received early this Sunday morning on a beautiful Spring day in May. As I ponder on those words, what comes to mind is a man of God who preaches in a way that turns this world upside down. I am not talking about a radical preacher but a preacher who makes a difference, so much so that it changes a person's entire life, it changes a place, a time, and a moment that stays with us and is never forgotten. I suppose that can be radical but the power to make change is more like it.

Throughout history many human beings may have had the experience of a holy man upside down preacher. They didn't have to be a pastor, priest, rabbi, etc.. It was a person who feared God with holy reverence and caused a drastic change in others and places, by their example and their words. I believe these preachers (men and/or women), to have courage and hearts after God's heart.

Unfortunately today we are hearing a lot of negative stuff creating chaos, hardship, pain, and fear in people's lives. We as a human race need a holy man who will turn this world upside down with his convicted beliefs and honesty of a genuine preacher. A man or person to make a positive change in people's lives.

Abraham Lincoln, Frederick Douglass - Triumph of Antislavery

This was a dramatic effect that changed the world in a positive way, (Slavery and Freedom). It takes strong men of courage to go against the norm, to speak and do what is right in the sight of God, as well as stand up for human rights. All are made in the image of God, so in other words we are all called to be His children and in His family. There is no slavery in His kingdom. Down here the Devil; our adversary will try to kill, steal, and destroy. It is up to us to make a change and it starts with us.

John 10:10

The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy; I have come that they may have life, and have it to the full.

When Ordinary People - Turn The World Upside down

Some folks live their lives that build very little or no distinction to anyone. Nevertheless others live such a way that the world is rarely the same once they have passed our planet.

I once watched a program about a man who is an evangelist. This man answered the call of God, in a way that most people wouldn't dare to. His name is Arthur Blessitt, I am sure many of you heard of this man. This was the first for me.

He literally carried a twelve foot wooden cross around the world walking. He showed the world about the true meaning of the cross by showing the love of God, and that God is for you not against you. No matter where you are at in your life, no matter what your circumstance is. God loves you. The cross is not your enemy, what Jesus did was to draw you to His Father, to give you hope, and a future.

Nothing can separate you from the Love of God. No religion or sexual orientations, color, faith, etc. will stop God from loving you. This man is a hero to many because he taught the true meaning of the cross.

It really touched my heart when I saw his heart for the people, and the love he had because of who he was in Christ. An ordinary man who walked this world to show the love of God, no matter who you are.

Arthur Blessitt An ordinary man who wasn't afraid to do something out of the ordinary.

Martin Luther King - A man who had the courage to love

A man who had a dream, he was the moral leader of our nation, he wanted equality, he wanted freedom. He wanted God's children, men of all color, Jews and Gentiles, Catholics and Protestant, all mankind, to join hands together with equality and freedom. He was assassinated for what he believed in. He shook the nation, then change came about when this man dared to come forward and stand up for what he believed in.

Mother Teresa - Lead a life of sacrifice

Whether one is Hindu or a Muslim or a Christian, however you reside your life is proof that you just are or not absolutely His. We tend to condemn or decide or pass words of judgement, which will ultimately hurt folks. We do not apprehend in what approach God is showing to the soul of the person, or what God is drawing that soul to; therefore, who are we to condemn anybody?

All I can remember as a child was that mother Teresa was a giving soul who sacrificed her life making others more important than herself. She was one of God's saints that changed the path of evil only to goodness. She never tired from being a servant, she reached out to everyone, therefore she left a lasting impression and memory that honors whom she was.

Men Of Great Courage - Few Bible Heroes listed below

There are too many to make mention of but what I am showing here is how any ordinary man can turn the world upside down. It takes courage and faith to go carry on strong, even though the giants they face surrounded them. Many have died for what they believed in, but the outcome made a change that will be spoken of for many centuries to come.

We need a holy man, upside down Preacher!

  1. David was a young Shepherd boy who eventually became King, he killed Goliath the giant. He was a slayer of lions and bears. He was a man after God's own heart but he made a lot of mistakes in his reign as a King, also repenting and truly loved God.
  2. Joseph of Nazareth believed the angel that told him that Mary was with child being a virgin. He obeyed God. Many had respect and affection toward him. He changed the world by fathering the greatest man that ever lived and walked this earth Jesus Christ.
  3. Moses was rejected by his own people when he tried to help them but he persisted to do what God told him to do, and he brought the Hebrews out from slavery and led them for 40 years through the desert to the promised land.
  4. Paul was a man of courage, he stood up for what he believed in and he never backed down even when all hell would let loose, he stood his ground. He changed the world radically. Every place he would go he would turn that place upside down.
  5. Noah was a good man. He obeyed God even though the world was wicked, through him a new world came to life. When the old one passed away by the flood.
  6. Samson was a strong man although he gave up his secret to his strength. Was then bound and blinded, as his hair grew back his strength returned to him, then he took down the two supporting pillars of the temple and destroyed himself and up to three thousand Philistines as it collapsed.

Jesus Christ - Changed the World

What did Jesus Christ do for the world? Jesus Christ came to us two thousand years ago. He was a carpenter, he left his family and home in Israel to preach a message that changed the world and shaped every corner of the globe. Many high and low have followed him as well as the humble and lowly.

Jesus's legacy is bigger than any of us, it is beyond our understanding and far exceeds our ability to discern.

What Jesus did by dying on that cross and rising again; He made it possible for mankind to be reconciled to God. To be forgiven of our sins, healed, saved, and delivered

Christians all over the world believe that Jesus' death and resurrection made it possible for man to be reconciled to God, forgiven, saved, healed and delivered!

He brought us hope. His teaching made life on earth better, His message brought healing to the nations and His ministry brought the dead back to life! He defeated Satan by allowing us who choose Him, and our place in heaven. Glory to God!!

The greatest missionaries in our history went out in the name of Jesus Christ, to spread the message of Jesus. The message of hope

  1. (John 3:16) "¶ For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life."
  2. (John 10:9) " I am the door: by me if any man enter in, he shall be saved, and shall go in and out, and find pasture."
  3. (Acts 4:12) "Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved."
  4. (John 3:36) "He that believeth on the Son hath everlasting life: and he that believeth not the Son shall not see life; but the wrath of God abideth on him."

Be Strong - Take Courage

I thought that this might be interesting, there are so many people that have done heroic things in their lifetime, some that we have never heard of. There are so many even today that we don't even know about.

Change can happen but it has to start with us. With all the evil in this world; where are those who have the courage to stand up and make a true difference in this day and age? To not have fear of fear itself but to be the man or woman who turns this world upside down by our actions and words. To stand up against the enemy.

We don't fight against flesh and blood but against the darkness and principalities of this world. The seen and unseen spiritual realm of satan who is out to kill, destroy and steal. Fighting against each other is only giving the Devil what he wants.

Who will do it Jesus's way and instead of hurting others, how about we love others to Christ instead. Give up the prejudices about race, lifestyle, religion, etc. We need to love each other by coming together in unity and striving to accept each other, no matter what our background is.

Leave the judging up to God and let us try together to do what Jesus message tells us to do. We are called to love one another and to serve each other without condition.

Let's change the world for the better and stop giving into the evil that this world has put up with throughout the generations. Jesus laid down His life to triumph over the powers of the enemy, He gave the ultimate sacrifice and took back the keys of Satan, who reigns on this earth and gave us the power to stand up against the enemy. Pray for one another, pray for our leaders, pray for our nation, and for the other countries who hate us PRAY, PRAY, and PRAY.

"Show us that holy man, that upside down preacher of our day" who can change this world, and give us hope and freedom, liberty and justice for all! Let good triumph over evil! Be strong and take courage in these last days.

I could name some unsung heroes on a local scale, but nobody reading this would know who they are. For me, the people who have had the most influence on my life are some of the greater preachers and writers of God over the centuries, most of whom are long dead: John Owen, John Calvin, C.S. Lewis to name just a few. One of the few who are alive who've had a great influence on my life is a preacher from Minnesota by the name of John Piper. Well worth checking out, he is a great man of God who frequently inspires me to love God more! :)
