Writing is my passion. I have an undying thirst and quest in the field of writing. Some eat, drink or use drugs when stressed; I write.
Although the world has a woeful shortage of joy, please be assured we can be joy-fill from a surplus of fear, worry, discouragement, and depression. Jesus Christ is joyful; Joy is spiritual, supernatural, and essential–far more than any human being can ever be or ever was! Through Him, we can experience joy; Jesus Christ is the Trifecta of Happiness.
There is a difference between joy and happiness. Happiness is when deep emotion is involved when something good happens. Ecclesiastes 3:4 shares with us, “There is “a time to weep, and a time to laugh; a time to mourn, and a time to dance.” That Scripture tells me God did not intend for HIS people to be emotional all the time.
Joy is the best feeling one can feel deep within, but Biblical joy is the real joy one would want to experience. Biblical joy is a feeling that comes from filling the spiritual void with good things like a beautiful relationship. A person enjoys an intimate relationship with another person who is pure and brings about genuine joy.
A decision to have an illustrious career as a mentor can bring about pure joy. However, mentors are the real joy creator when they help others; they bring about pure pleasure. Philippians 1:6 share, “Being confident of this very thing, that he which hath begun a decent work in you will perform it until the day of Jesus Christ.” God created the world.
Upon our creation, God did not have an empty and miserable life in mind for us. God does not create us to live oppressed by obstacles that presence is imposing. He wished for us to enjoy ourselves peacefully and calmly during our lifetimes. A life where we can enjoy on a daily in peace with everything around us.
God’s original idea was to make the world like an exotic and lush garden. Unfortunately, as Adam and Eve sinned, the whole of humankind was banned from the abundance of peace that God had in mind. However, that does not have to mean the end of serenity for us. When Jesus sacrificed Himself on the cross for us, He lost his life; this was all so we can have another opportunity for redemption and carefree existence.
Although this world is in deep trouble, God did not guarantee that life will be easy for anyone. Nonetheless, it will be helpful to exercise faith, so that you may find peace and joy, in life. Rumi says in a quote, “This world is in deep trouble, from top to bottom. However, it can be swiftly healed by the balm of love”. Each time the going gets tough, the burden of the life weighs heavily upon our shoulders hindering our inherent potential as human beings; we do not have to accept that as the rule of law. Instead, we could find hope and solace in knowing that we have the power to fight and win against any calamity and secure ourselves for a better tomorrow.
When all is said, and done, people tend to get fatigued from everyday tasks and choices that the life imposes upon them. Our lives are so hectic that we cannot spare any moment for our families or partners, for the things that we enjoy or that fulfill us as individuals. Planning our day carefully and making a list of stuff which we love to do can be the right chance for us to embrace our happiness. God has given us a solid foundation of faith to assist us, 1 Corinthians 3:11 states "For no man can lay a foundation other than the one which is laid, which is Jesus Christ."
God desires the earth to be a peaceful place to live, but people who sin bring sadness to Him, you see, sin is our problem because it takes away our peace. God hates sin, but He does still love all people and desires that we all live a life where we can enjoy the day today, which makes us at peace with everything around us, even in tough times. In this life, there will be constant challenges that cause us to think and to make everyday decisions. However, God hopes we would decide to receive peace and joy which Jesus has made available.
You may be asking, “Why we need a relationship with Jesus?” Romans 5:8 tells us, “But God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.” Having a relationship with Jesus is essential if we want love, peace, and joy. Also, we must separate ourselves from sin; sin created a barrier that separated us from God. You need to know God, the Divine plan to restore peace to all humankind. God's Divine plan involves making things right through His Son Jesus Christ.
When Jesus left us, he gave us an option – either to live in serenity or disorder. In the beginning, when God made this world, it was beautiful, peaceful and sin-free. After the peace had been taken from it, He let His Son Jesus Christ died to bring it back. Jesus gave up his life just to leave us with an option to live our lives sinless and enjoy a peaceful life.
God’s original idea was to make a world of peace, free of sin so that that life will be more straightforward and happier. Unfortunately, as Adam and Eve sinned, the whole humankind was banned from the abundance that God had in mind. However, that does not have to mean the end of serenity for us. When Jesus sacrificed himself on the cross for us. He loses his life; this was all so we can have another opportunity for redemption and happy existence.
There is a simple, yet effective five-step process, helping us achieve the state of mind that leads to serenity:
1. Faith without action is meaningless: Faith by itself, if it is not accompanied by action, is dead (James 2:17, NIV)
2. Do the correct thing and hope for the best: And we know that in all things God works for the benefit of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose.
3. (Romans 8:28 NIV) Hold on to your beliefs: Therefore, I tell you, whatever you ask for in prayer, believe that you have received it, and it will be yours.
4. (Mark 11:24 NIV) Keep your thoughts pure, God is always watching: We demolish arguments and every pretension that sets itself up against the knowledge of God, and we take captive every thought to make it obedient to Christ.
5. (II Corinthians 10:5 NIV) Let the faith always lead you: The eye is the lamp of the body. If your eyes are healthy, your whole body will be full of light. (Matthew 6:22 NIV)
Mental strength is what leads us to a positive or a negative perception of reality. Our psyche has the power not only to free us from our past, but also to make a comfortable place for us to be. Our attitude is what makes us what we are and what we do daily.
Making a positive change starts in the brain. It is our mind that frees us from the chains that we impose on ourselves. Not even decades of path searching, diligent practice or self-help studies can provide us with an answer what type of satisfaction, changes or calmness we need from our being. The switch can only happen in our head, and it determines who we are. If you do not believe in change, then you will not achieve it, but if you are ready to receive its fruits, you can expect your days to be extraordinary. However, keep in mind Jesus Christ brings love, joy & peace - the trifecta for happiness.
