Why Christians Should NOT Use The NKJV Bible
I am writing this to encourage users of the NKJV Bible to go back to the KJV Bible. Why? The New King James Version has greatly perverted the original passages. The greatest way to trick people is through counterfeit word. Satan is the master of deception.
The Trick In Action
The Bible warns us of Satan's tricks. In 2 Corinthians 11:14-15 we read “ And no marvel; for Satan himself transformed into an angel of light. Therefore it is no great thing if his ministers also be transformed as the ministers of righteousness;” - In that passage we can understand that Satan can appear as “good” as well as his teachings & even his ministers. They both appear as light. Light being from God, darkness, from evil. In Isaiah 14:14 we read “..I will be like the most High.”; What does that mean to you? The NKJV (New King James Version) is one of the most counterfeit Holy Bibles there is. Satan has had his paws all over it. Unknowingly, Christians who know of the false scriptures of the NIV, NASV, RSV & the NRSV are falling under the prey & are believing in the NKJV without even realizing its perversion. The NKJV bears likeliness of the KJV but if we look back to 2 Corinthians 11:14-15 we understand why. It is meant to trick and to fool people. You may have noticed that symbol that is “coiled” right on the cover of the book itself. What is that symbol anyway?
You can see the satanic symbol either on the outside of the NKJV bibles or the first page.
The Symbol On The NKJV Bible
Symbolism is HIGHLY used in cults (Please see my other hubs for examples.) In Harpers' Encyclopedia of Mystical & Paranormal Experience we can read that symbols have their purpose. Quoting from the book on page 594. “Symbols are important to all esoteric teachings, for they contain secret wisdom accessible only to the initiated.”. Esoteric meaning; Intended for or likely to be understood by only a small number of people with a specialized knowledge or interest. It is speaking of cult wisdom & knowledge. The publishers of the NKJV (Tomas Nelson Publishers) say that the symbol on the cover is an ancient symbol for the Holt Trinity. If I am not mistaken, the Bible clearly forbids symbolism. If we look to Acts 17:29 we read “..we ought not to think that the Godhead is like unto gold, or silver or stone, graven by art and man's device.” This passage is explaining that God or anything associated with him SHOULD NOT be made into any kind of art form for man's pleasure or doing. Have you noticed that the Antiquarian Conspiracy handbook has a similar symbol to that found on & in the NKJV? Which is openly known for representing three sixes woven together (666). Writer & author for the “New Age Movement” , Constance Cumbey tells that the symbol has more to do with Gnostic that Christian as its origin is Gnostic. He says he was shocked to see it on a Holy Bible. This same symbol can be seen with a circle displayed on a Led Zepplin album. These artists are heavily involved in Satanism and the occult so why would they share a supposed “biblical symbol”? Its believed that this symbol is from the original teachings of Aleister Crowley, author of the satanic bible. If we look to The Hierophat, from a tarot card set designed by Crowley, we will see this occult priest (Heirophat) holding a rod in his hand. At the top of the rod, we can easily see the same symbol that is found on the NKJV BIBLE! This same symbol is used in witchcraft for casting spells. This symbol is commonly called the “triquetra” in many occult groups. Look to the book “The Book of Shadows”. This book, also called a grimoire, is a journal kept by an individual witch or Satanist. It is also kept by cult groups as well. In this book they record activities they, as a group or individual, do & the incantations used. The “triquetra” is used throughout it. Satan is indeed a master of deception. In the book “The Craft : A Witch's Book of Shadows, we see the same symbol used on the NKJV throughout it as well as the Pagan & Wicca customs & objects. Examples to see the symbol can be found on the pentagram ring, the Baphomet goat, & several cult following necklaces and dress pieces. The rock group “Deicide” are formed up of members who are openly part of Satanist groups & other cults. On their album “Once Upon the Cross” you can see the triquetra with an upside down cross & pentagrams. The name deicide actually means “the death of God”. This same symbol is linked to organizations like the World Future Society & the Trilateral Commission. Why would the word of God have an occult symbol clearly labeled on the front of it!?
The Changes
In the preface of the NKJV it reads “A special feature of the New King James Version it its conformity to the thought flow of the 1611 Bible.” - “..the new edition, while much clearer are so close to the traditional...”. Conformity means to be “similar” but not the same. Why would you trust a holy be that is only “similar” to the original? In this book, we will see vast changed from the original KJV. One to first stand out to its readers is the change of “thee”, “thou” & “ye”. It tells us that they are all changed from that, to simply, “you”. They say the change is because that these words are no long part of the English language yet when the KJV of 1611 was printed... Those words weren't part of the English language then either. For proof look the Webster's Third New International Dictionary which says that “ye” was used to the 13th century. The 1611 KJV was published 400 years later... In the 17th century. Why was “thee, thou & ye” used to begin with? In Greek & Hebrew, the languages contain a different word for the second person as a singular & the second as a plural. Today we use “you” for both. It was desired by the publisher of the 1611 KJV Bible to be accurate as possible which is why they did not want to use “you”. Its not that hard to understand how to read this words so why change them to begin with? If it starts with a “t” like thou, thy, thine, it is singular but if it starts with a “y” like ye, it is plural. If these words are no longer part of the language, why wouldn't they then change the hymnbooks as well? They certainly have no problem changing the word of God though, do they?
Did I miss it when “hell” was considered an “obsolete” word in the English language? The NKJV removed the word “hell” 23 times throughout the bible. They replaced it with “Hades” or “Sheol”. So what? They are changing the holy word of God into mythology now? And also, how it “Hades” or “Sheol” a more clearer translation than “hell”? Even little children understand “hell” means nothing good! Who in their right mind would think those words are easier to understand? Hell was removed from 2 Sam. 22:6, Job 11:8, 26:6, Psalm 16:10, 18:5, 86:13, 116:3, Isaiah 5:14, 14:15, 28:15,18, 57:9, Jonah 2:2, Matt. 11:23, 16:18, Luke 10:15, 16:23, Acts 2:27, 31, Rev. 1:18, 6:8, 20:13,14. Here's some examples..
Matthew 16:18:
KJV: "And I say also unto thee, That thou art Peter, and upon this rock I will build my church; and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it."
NKJV: "And I also say to you that you are Peter, and on this rock I will build My church, and the gates of Hades shall not prevail against it."
Luke 16:23
KJV: "And in hell he lift up his eyes, being in torments, and seeth Abraham afar off, and Lazarus in his bosom."
NKJV: "And being in torments in Hades, he lifted up his eyes and saw Abraham afar off, and Lazarus in his bosom."
To make matters even more unbearably hard to understand they decided the word “grave” should be changed to “Hades”. In 1 Corinthians 15:55 it was changed from “O grave, where is thy victory?” to “O Hades, where is your victory?”... I mean come on! How clear is that? Apparently “hell” and “grave” aren't the only words considered “obsolete”... The word “repent” was taken out an astonishing 44 times! Instead, they use other “r” words that have nothing to do with each other. In Mathew 21:31 they used “relent” - In Mathew 27:3 they used “remorseful – In Romans 11:29 they used “irrevocable”. Even the term “new testament” was up to their standards... Its not even in the NKJV. They changed it to “new covenant” which is the same found in the NIV, NRSV, RSV & the NASV. The word “damned” is another word that was taken out. They used “condemn” and “condemned” in its place; which is not as serious as being damned. You can be condemned and not damned so clearly it is two different meanings. In Romans 14:22, it says ". . . Happy is he that condemneth not himself in that thing which he alloweth." The dictionary defines the word “condemned” to declare to be wrong; BUT the word “damn” is to condemn to hell. See the difference? The word “devils” is no longer deemed proper English either because it too was taken out in the NKJV. It was replaced with “demon”. Devil or devils being the supreme spirit of evil... Demon being a “god”, “angel” or “genius”. There is only one time in the whole bible where it speaks of studying (2 Tim 2:15)... The NKJV took that out too! In fact, the King James Version is the only bible that actually tells you to study your bible!! Even the word “servant” was changed to “slave”! The NKJV says in Romans 6:22, "But now having been set FREE from sin, and having become SLAVES OF GOD. . ." We are to serve God from our hearts, not be His slaves! Slavery is not and never was a choice!
You think those are bad? How about the “required” changing of Genesis 2:18 being changed from “And the LORD God said, It is not good that the man should be alone: I will make him an helpe meet for him.” to "And the Lord God said, It is not good that man should be alone; I will make a helper COMPARABLE TO HIM". So lets take a moment and look that over because it means a COMPLETELY different thing! KJV is saying God is making a helper FOR Adam, that is it, but the NKJV is saying God is making a helper that is “comparable” to him? Meaning in likeness or EQUAL to! God created woman for man from man, to be beneath him, not comparable to him!
One of the greatest verses in the Bible proclaiming that Jesus Christ was God in the flesh is Genesis 22:8 & it reads "God will provide himself a lamb for a burnt offering:". The NKJV slips in the word “for” which completely changed the meaning of that sentence! NKJV reads “God will provide for Himself the lamb from a burnt offering”. So no only are they taking words out of the Holy Bible... Not only are they replacing words in the Holy Bible... They are adding WORDS!. They even acknowledge body peircing in their perversion! The KJV reads in Genesis 24:47 “I put the earring upon her face” but in the NKJV it reads “I put the nose ring in her nose”!!!! WHAT THE HADES IS THAT!? Nose rings have to do with tribalism rituals, why would they make it so Rebekah had a tribal piercing!? Oh & speaking of “Hades” they removed “Satan” from Psalms 109:6.
Now this one should make any God fearing, Jesus loving Christian want to burn this book... In Mathew 7:14 they change “narrow is the way” to “difficult it the way”. There is absolutely nothing difficult about the salvation of Jesus Christ! In Mathew 11:30 Jesus says “For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light”... Now that's a contradiction if I ever did see one. Now here is one that many would miss... They changed whale to fish in Mathew 12:40. Now at a glance, no big deal... Right?.. WRONG! Whale in Greek is “ketos”which the scientific study of whales (Cetology) comes from. So if a word like “Whales” has so much history and origin to it... Why would it be changed?

- It removed the word “Lord” 66 times
- It removed the word “God” 51 times.
- It removed the word “heaven” 50 times.
- In the New Testament alone, 2,289 words were removed.
- Over 100,000 word changes were made
- Most changes in the NKJV will match other counterfeit Holy Bibles.
- Thomas Nelson Publishers claimed “Nothing has been changed except to make the original meaning clearer.”

Look up the REAL reason for the kjv not the support group that have never compared it to scripture. you can find an Interlinear bible on the internet, look at it and see all the words that most bibles add and the mistranslation by incorrect use of words and make you own mind up, do not follow those apostates without the holy spirit that will mislead you, ask the Holy Spirit for truth.

Well I really wish again that I could see the original from the time of Jesus and actually be able to decipher it myself. That would be awesome.
I wish who ever deciphered the words of God, would of just left it at that and that's it. Why did anyone even have to go change words and this and that.
I only have one bible and its the NKJV it was given to me and what I read on line.
The way I look at it, most of the scriptures all mean the same however some words and the way it is worded is different. God would not allow anyone to add or take away from the bible and definitely not satan who does not have power over God.
So I really can't emphasis on this all that much as this is he only version I do have/read.
However I do know when God does want to leave me messages/talk to me, he has not only blown a page in my bible to a certain page but as opened it up with marked sections on it, almost like God took the highlighter and marked it while I was sleeping.
So for me the word of God is all I need.

OtherSide- Are you saying that the only true Holy Scriptures are the original autograph manuscripts? If so, then we out of luck. Most, if not all, of the originals are long gone. The manuscripts used for everything from 1611 onward are copies of the originals.
It follows then that you are suggesting that everyone should take 8 or more credit hours of Hebrew and Greek language courses just to begin to understand the Bible.

My thing is that, people don't really want to hear the TRUTH... and the truth is, if satan is at work by the NKJV being written then he was already at work when the KJV was written. Do we really know that the context has been changed once it is written in another language such as English. This is not an opinion, it's a fact. All versions are the work of evil except the original. The ones who wrote the first English bible knew we would never get to learn from the original. The thing is, people don't like to change the error we've been taught because it's too much or complicated so they find ways to water their feelings down by making arguments to choose between the two evils. In other words, which evil is the better one.

The KJV is the easiest for me to understand & was translated in 1611. I am sure it will not be 100% accurate because nothing that has been translated is, but I feel the safest with the KJV. I would much rather use something dated closer to the original context than one closer to this time.

after checking more of your above misinformation, I have come to the conclusion, again, that the nkjv is much more accurate than the kjv and that the above material is the work of the kjv only crowd that has never checked its accuracy against the original languages. No translation is without errors and no one bible should be the source of your beliefs. But if you really trust the Holy Spirit to teach ALL TRUTH , I find He will show the correct interpretation if you let Him. Then you if you want to be sure it is He you heard from you can check the original languages.

I would love to learn Hebrew & Greek and go straight to the language of the original. I will continue to use the King James Version because I feel safe with it & I never had a problem or trouble reading it. From what I learned in this world is that "newer" is not always better. I look at products, furniture and even homes & they are not built or made like they use to be.

This information must have been gleaned from a kjv ONLY group and seems to be very inaccurate. I will check out a bunch more and report back. ALL translations have errors and must be checked against the original language to be sure of what you are reading and the kjv is no exception. It has many errors and the one that bothers me the most is thou shalt not kill, instead of not murder, which is erroneous and is used by people to say the bible contradicts itself which it does not. Of course that is just another reason we need the infilling of the Holy Spirit to really understand scripture.

Thanks for your comment Rayne123 ! You are certainly entitled to your own beliefs in the matter. As for me, I would rather use the original English version. I started to look into the difference of them a few years ago and was blown away. Some of the meanings of the scripture has changed completely. If you are uncertain in the matter, I would rather you ask God about it then just believe me. I asked Him and I found information on this and from there learned about it.

I've opened a few of those "different" translations, and immediately went back to the KJV. I think I have a NASV and a New English Bible somewhere collecting dust. Never delved any further than the first few pages after realizing that my KJV reads so much better from the beginning!

Interesting hub, however not sure I agree with you.
What I don't get is why the heck did they just have one bible and it being the exact way it was written by the disciples end of story.
I myself have the NKJV version with beautiful pictures, however there is no symbol on it.
I did see the changes however not sure it is Satan, trust me I would know.
Although I don't believe in the changes or not really believe but they should of just left well enough alone, I think it was just not to add swears maybe,, not sure.
God has led me to many pages he has turned over pages himself and has even marked my book. I think if it was Satan God would not do that for me.
I do know God says "whoever adds or takes away from my words, I will send them the plague in this book. So trust me with what is about to happen, he will not hesitate to do so.
I think I may as God for the answers.
However not saying you are not right, we just all have so many opinions.
