What you did not know about the Chupacabra-the Caribbean Goat Sucker!

There have been a plethora of reports of mysterious, hostile and dreadful creatures from all over the globe over the wide span of history. One morning in Jan, 2015 when Juan Pablo Hermosillo Sanchez, a 48-year old goat herder from the state of Chihuahua, Mexico, got to his farm he was shocked to discover that 49 of his goats were all dead. They were all savagely killed by a third Chupacabra attack in two months. All of the goats had their throats gashed open and bore strange puncture wounds on their necks or torsos and had been drained of their blood.

All the dead goats have visible injuries that look greatly like the puncture wounds described in the other Chupacabra attacks. The animals also seem to have been almost entirely drained of their blood, another variable that is consistent with other attacks. The type of feeding associated with this kind of carnivorous attacks is called hematophagous feeding. The goad herder described his distress like this, ‘It’s horrible what this beast did to my animals. It sucked the life out of them like a vampire… what an evil creature!’

Originally, Chupacabra or ‘goatsucker’ is a name given to a nocturnal bird. This is not a bird of prey. But the Puerto Rican islands called the Caribbean islands have been victimized by a creature which is called goat sucker because it literally sucks the blood of animals and its favorite prey are goats and sheep.
This animal also known as the ‘Chupacabra’ has terrorized the island and has the reputation of brutally killing animals such as horses, cows, sheep, goats, dogs, cats etc. and tearing their bodies to pieces. The bodies of these animals have been found in such bad condition after being attacked by ‘Chupacabra’ that they could easily give a sick feeling to a person. An example of such an insane offensiveness of this creature is given by the following report.
This event has been cited in a 71 page report called ‘The Chupacabra Diaries’. According to this report there was once an event of livestock deaths in the farm of a farmer named Enrique Boretto. A police officer who was in charge of the investigation was doing his job when he had an encounter with the ‘Chupacabra’. The creature was squatting in the bushes nearby and was staring at the officer, with its bright orange eyes. The creature slowly stood on its hind legs and acquired a posture just like that of a human being. It was about four feet tall and had hair all over its body. It had an intensely evil look which was more intensified by its constant stare. As the officer was gazing at the creature he was overcome by an extreme feeling of dizziness and headache which was of such a degree that he momentarily became disabled.

There were many other reports which proved that the mere presence of this animal or creature, whatever it was; made people feel dizzy, nauseated and sick. Mostly it also caused a severe headache which disabled the person. In different reports the creature was defined and described as standing four to five feet tall, having glowing orange yellow eyes, having hair all over its body, standing on its hind legs, acquiring a posture like that of a human being. Its hind legs were like those of a horse which were quite strong and muscular. In almost all the reports it was described as an extremely ferocious and aggressive animal with predatory instincts.

There has been a lot of research in this matter and many theories have been formulated. Some of them have tried to explain the existence and appearance of the creature as that of a genetically engineered one. While according to other theories which are of a little wider perspective, this creature is not of our planet but from some other planet or even another time frame altogether.

Science has never been able to explain the habits of the ‘Chupacabra’ such as that of sucking blood and subsequently tearing the bodies part by part. This creature has now become a horror in the Puer to Rican islands.
