My own Experience.
How my search for a Religious Magazine led me to an article about, miracles, moving statues, and memories. And a statue of Jesus that felt warm to the touch, had a heart beat, and a Rosary that turned from Silver to Gold.
How I met the owner of Dimples' Donuts and Angel Kisses.
"Shoppers Moved by 'Miracle' Statues."
Yesterday, Sunday, April 8th 2012, searching through a file drawer of interesting items saved from years ago, I came across an article dated Saturday, November 19, 1994, and was published in the Chicago Sun Times, by staff writer, Philip Franchine, titled "Shoppers Moved by 'Miracle' Statues."
Philip's article was the story of 'Angel Kisses'
Philip's article was the story of 'Angel Kisses' a religious gift shop, in Saint Charles, Illinois. As I read about the miracles, reported about the store, and wondered why I had not gone there, I lived in Saint Charles, it was near the Church where I was married, to my present husband. I will be going there, I thought, as I read every word in the article, and I have a vague memory of visiting Angel Kisses, but don't remember anything else, or if my husband was with me.
Dorothy said that she felt a heart-beat
One lady, Dorothy, who was visiting the gift shop from Aurora, was pictured in Philip's article as she was touching a statue of Christ, and she began to cry. Dorothy said that she felt a heat-beat. According to Patricia Kulpin, the owner of Angel Kisses, who said that, others had also claimed to feel a heart-beat when touching that particular statue.
The most amazing phenomenon, Mrs. Kulpin, said was when she received six clear plastic statues of the Virgin Mary, and when she was unpacking them on October 25th, and was putting Rosaries around their necks, they bowed their heads.
Some said they saw the hand of a small statue of Jesus raise
The reporter and several visitors to the little shop said that, although they did not see the statues move that day, but they all reported feeling a sense of awe and some of the visitors said they had seen movement by some of the statues on earlier visits. Some said they saw the hand of a small statue of Jesus raise, and felt warmth and a heart-beat from a larger statue of Jesus. Others said they just felt a heavenly peace.
I'm at peace here. It's like Awe-all powerful.
According to the Chicago Sun-Times reporter: Mike, a visitor from Batavia said, everybody in front of him was saying they saw hands change position, and saw heads move, but he did not see any movement. (The shop is small inside, and visitors have to form a line to go through.) Pat, of Aurora said on an earlier visit she had seen a woman's silver rosary chain turn to burnished gold. "I'm at peace here. It's like awe--all powerful. He [the Lord] is here for me." Pat said.
Patricia, the owner touched a drop of Holy Water to Joe's Knee, the pain was gone!
Another couple, Joe and Laura of Elgin came to visit Angel Kisses, Thursday, the day before the reporter, and again on Friday. Joe said he almost did not come back he had so much pain in his knee, and after Patricia the owner touched a drop of holy water to Joe's knee, the pain was gone.
I had been searching for a booklet, "Medjugorje Magazine"
This past Sunday, April 8th, when I came across the article, I had been searching for a booklet "Medjugorje Magazine," a friend Angie DeVincenzo, had copied for me in 1990. The magazine told about the people, who were making pilgrimages to a remote Yugoslavian village named Medjugorje, seeking Divine healing, miracles, or to simply find peace in their lives.
Later, that same year (1990), I had heard about "Dimples Donuts," the shop was in Batavia, close to my home, I heard or read, that the lady who owned Dimples, had a silver crucifix and chain that she or someone she knew had taken to Medjugorje, and it had turned from silver to gold.
I can't explain why, but Janice (my stepdaughter) and I both started to cry
The following day or days later, me, my husband and step daughter went to Dimples Donuts. I mentioned to her about her crucifix, and she graciously showed it to us. I can't explain why but, Janice (step daughter) and I both started to cry and we could not explain why. We did not go back for a long time, and then we heard that Dimples closed.
Then Sunday, April 8, 2012, I thought of Dimples, and then re-read the article from the Chicago Sun Times. April 10, 2012, I looked for the phone number of Angel Kisses and called the number. Patricia's husband answered and I asked if they still owned the gift shop, and he said yes. I asked if I could publish their story on HubPages and he gave the phone to Patricia.
I asked Patricia about publishing Angel Kisses story, and she told me about the miracles, healings, moving statues, and how couples who had been wanting a baby for a very long time, came to her shop. She told me about Pope John Paul's and Mother Theresa's receiving one of the statues. She told me about the Buddhist Priest, who was moved by what he saw and felt.
I said "Wait! back up!" Do you mean Dimples Donuts?
Patricia asked me if I had been to her donut shop, have I ever met you? She asked.
I told her I vaguely remember going there, but can't remember anything else. And I asked her when she opened the shop and she told me they had sold the donut shop, January 17, 1992, and April 1992 they opened the gift shop. I said wait! Back up! Do you mean Dimples Donuts? She said yes. I said, we have met, and told her about the visit to the donut shop, and the crucifix that she had taken to Medjugorje, and how both my stepdaughter and I had cried without knowing why.
This has been, a wonderful day. Maybe some of you will believe, maybe not.
If you believe, no explanation is necessary,
If you do not believe, no explanation is possible.

Don't know about you, but I'm hoping we will cool off one of these days soon. So tired of mid/upper 90s. Expect this will be one of those years when it just flips from hot to cold with no in-between. Hope all is well with you in any case. Blessings dear friend. Hope you had a wonderful birthday. Sent you an e-card. Take care . . .

Au fait, thank you for the comments so very much, we need a miracle right about now. It is so hard for me to do anything on HP right now, being a care giver is rough way to go and leaves precious little time for anything else.
Hope all is well with you and that you have a wonderful Christmas.
Blessings and hugs my dear friend.

That time of year again. Thanksgiving will be here in just 15days. This is the time of year when thoughts turn to Jesus. Yes, our thoughts should be with Him everyday of the year, and if we can't take Him with us wherever we go, then perhaps we should rethink whether or not we should be going there ourselves.
This is a very interesting article and anyone who believes in miracles of this sort should find this a most intriguing read. Wish I had interviewed you and written this myself. Hope you are promoting it on newsgroups with FB. They are bound to have a group or two that is formed around this phenomena. Sharing this again.
Hope you and John are well and that good things are coming your way. More blessings and hugs. Take care . . .

This is such an intriguing article I should think it would be one of your best performers. Going to share this again in case someone on HP hasn't read it yet.
Another horribly hot day today. Won't miss the heat if it ever goes away. Hope you and John are both well. Blessings and hugs. Hope your allergies are better, though it's been windy today.

Au fait, thank you for being my dearest friend also, thank you for the comments and sharing.
Miracles, I believe in also and have experienced more than a few, but I did not see anything unusual in Patricia Kulpin's shop Angel Kisses. I did see the crucifix, how do I say that it was authentic? I don't, but it did look like antique gold.
I hope you are well and staying warm and dry.
Blessings and hugs to you.

It seems like this is a good time of year to think about things we don't always understand, but that are a part of our world just the same. The miracle of Christ's birth and all the miracles He did while on this planet, and all the many miracles He continues to do that most people tend to take for granted.
This article is definitely interesting and curious from my perspective. I think it warrants consideration and a good deal of thought just as so many things in our world do. I hope people will read this and think about it.
I'm not one to believe in these things as a rule, as you know. I generally believe there is a logical explanation of some sort, but I could be wrong. It could be a genuine miracle. I would love to read what other people think.
I think this is a good story for this time of year when people everywhere are, as they should be, thinking about the miracle of Christ's birth and how it changed the world. There is room to think about what you have written here too. Very interesting. I do not know the answer.
Sharing with followers. Hope you and John are enjoying a peaceful holiday season. Blessings always for being my dearest friend . . .

Yes the rainstorm missed us, and we really need the rain it is so dry and dusty, when I cut grass yesterday, I looked like Walter when he was playing in the dirt.
Why do little boys like to play in the dirt?
Blessings to you my friend.

This really is an interesting story. Sharing it again in case anyone has missed it.
We got the southern edge of the storm yesterday and it really pounded us with rain, the thunder shaking everything so hard it set off the car alarms in the parking lot. I don't think it went anywhere near you down there. It was traveling southeast and mostly east.
We needed the rain and I'm so glad we got it. My car is of course soaked again. Have a blessed day!

Wanted to share this story again. Even though I'm leery of these happenings, I also find them fascinating. Sometimes it is quickly discovered why they happen while other times not. It is the tough ones that intrigue me the most.
Voted up and AI as well. Also pinned to AH.

Interesting hub. I understand seeing pictures or faces or things in clouds or paintings, or objects, etc., but I must confess I see no spiritual significance in them. God is everywhere so it shouldn't be surprising to see His Son's image here and there. The most important place for God to be is in our hearts. If He isn't there, it doesn't really matter where else He is does it?
