Over three decades ago I become interested in the Bible, having drank from the heavenly cup once, I have not been tired to drink more
In the previous article, I said for in depth understanding of what I want to share here, there is need to explain what preceded the migration of Naomi and her family to another land. this I have started and will continue with in this article.
Some of Those Minute Lights Seen by The Ancients Continues – Ruth a Case Study
The bible is full of many intriguing and interesting stories, which essentially are compiled for all believers to learn from. Let us see more points about the incident Elimelech’s family as recorded in the bible.
(xxxvi) Naomi Breaks the Silence:
Having noticed that she has neither leave her nor let her go, and the time is not on her side because she still has a long way to go she breaks the silence.
(xxxvii) Points Her to Her Sister In-Law:
As if Ruth has been lost in her thoughts and did not know what was going on, her mother in-law points her to her sister in-law, telling her that she has long gone and she needs to go.
“And she said, Behold, thy sister in law is gone back unto her people, and unto her gods: return thou after thy sister in law.” (Rth 1:15)
(xxxviii) Ruth’s Response:
Ruth replied that she knows that she has left, and that she was not ready to leave her, nothing she says would make her leave her. In her response she let her know her heart decision what her mind has been saying to her for a very long time.

(xxxix) The Position of Her Mind Was Revealed:
In her response she shows what has been in her mind before she shows that her mind has been instructing her and telling her that she must not leave the woman for anything.
“And they lifted up their voice, and wept again: and Orpah kissed her mother in law; but Ruth clave unto her.
“And she said, Behold, thy sister in law is gone back unto her people, and unto her gods: return thou after thy sister in law.
“And Ruth said, Intreat me not to leave thee, or to return from following after thee: for whither thou goest, I will go; and where thou lodgest, I will lodge: thy people shall be my people, and thy God my God:
“Where thou diest, will I die, and there will I be buried: the LORD do so to me, and more also, if ought but death part thee and me.
“When she saw that she was stedfastly minded to go with her, then she left speaking unto her.” (Rth 1:14-18)
(xl) Naomi Could Not Do Anything:
When Naomi discovered that her mind has been made up, on going with her she couldn’t do anything again because she knows that persuading her would be tantamount to nothing, they will continue to waste the time that they do not have thence, she let go of whatever she has in mind to say.
“When she saw that she was stedfastly minded to go with her, then she left speaking unto her.” (Rth 1:18)
The Hebrew word for steadfastly minded here is “אמץ”, which when romanticized becomes 'âmats (pronunciation is aw-mats') which means be courageous, strong, stronger, established harden, make strong.
She notices that her mind has been made up to follow her and then she wouldn’t say anything again.
(xli) The Outcome of Her Mind Leading Her:
Ruth listened to her heart against all odds, and her heart has led her right because the shame which she thought would befall her or perhaps which her sister in-law has thought would be their portion if they continued with their mother in law to her country Bethlehem was changed by God and it was turned to glory for her as she finds solace beyond imagination there and through her the son of God, Jesus could come to the world to redeem mankind.
Every time now, the name of Ruth would be referenced to when Jesus is being referenced to, because she has listened to her heart, she has followed the dimmed light which has appeared unto her, though bigger obstacles which were facts have been presented to her by her mother in-law, but she would not allow those obstacles to change her decision.
All the children of God have the Spirit of God dwelling inside of them, and since the Spirit of God is dwelling in use, we need know that when our mind speaks to us about something, God is the one impressing that on our hearts and should not let it go though there may be presenting bigger obstacles which are facts that couldn’t be denied at that moment, but when we continue, the God of all the heart knows how to make everything work together for our good. (Rom 8:28)
“And the women said unto Naomi, blessed be the LORD, which hath not left thee this day without a kinsman, that his name may be famous in Israel.
“And he shall be unto thee a restorer of thy life, and a nourisher of thine old age: for thy daughter in law, which loveth thee, which is better to thee than seven sons, hath born him.
“And Naomi took the child, and laid it in her bosom, and became nurse unto it.
“And the women her neighbours gave it a name, saying, there is a son born to Naomi; and they called his name Obed: he is the father of Jesse, the father of David.
“Now these are the generations of Pharez: Pharez begat Hezron,
“And Hezron begat Ram, and Ram begat Amminadab,
“And Amminadab begat Nahshon, and Nahshon begat Salmon,
“And Salmon begat Boaz, and Boaz begat Obed,
“And Obed begat Jesse, and Jesse begat David.” (Rth 4:14-22)
I will start another dimmed light that we possibly may see in the next article before moving to how to explore (or use) the dimmed lights seen to achieve and or reap the reward of our labors on earth and produce fruits for Christ Jesus and our God.
