Over three decades ago I become interested in the Bible, having drank from the heavenly cup once, I have not been tired to drink more

6. When occasion calls for her to use the Money started searching

When she wants to use the money and she gets to where she has kept the money she discovers that the money was no longer there and this surprises her which necessitated her searching for the money. or maybe something happens and she checks where she has kept the money again, she was baffled to discover that she could not find a silver out of the ten she has kept where she keeps it again.

7. It may be that the room was dark (ancient room)

As she initiates the search she discovers that she couldn’t find it where she has thought the money could be and she has to intensify her effort for the search, which leads her to lighting a candle to look at the corners of her room to know if the money has rolled there.

She lights the candle because under the bushel or bed is usually dark and she needs to see clearly.

8. Sweeping the Room

what she thought would be easily located was not easily located and thence she needs to get broom to sweep the room, sweeping the nooks and crannies of the room to remove all doubts. In the case of the online business people, she will have to check the account several times, and perhaps calls the customer care of the bank to know what happened with her money, for she deserve explanation for what has happened.

9. The Ownership

The ownership of the money is clearly stated, it is the woman who owns the money. It is not a jointly owned money.

10. Continuation, relentlessness

when she looked for it ordinarily but couldn’t find it, she changed gear, stepped higher, removing all obstacles, she worked tirelessly having ascertained in her mind that no one has entered the room and that where she has kept the money no thief has stretched his or her hand through the windows to steal out of the money where she has kept them.

11. Important to her

The money is very important to her, that was why she goes extra mile to ensure that she finds the money wherever it is, having ascertained within her mind that she takes the money home, or was given to her at home or was transferred into the account she is using.

We need to know that everyone of us in the world we are important before our God and Maker, thence he sends Jesus to the world for us all.

Since the money could not be found in a hurry, she calms herself down while searching for the money. the word diligent in the verse is called “ἐπιμελῶς” in Greek while when romanticized it becomes epimelōs (phonetic spelling is ep-ee-mel-oce') which means carefully.

Jesus that was sent to the world to save mankind did not do the job in a hurry, he was patient, diligent and careful when he was going about with the message of redemption, training those who shall take up after him that they equally need patience, carefulness if they will succeed on earth with the gospel.

13. The Percentage Loss

We shall notice the percentage loss of the original money she kept where it was kept, and it is 10 Percent loss.

14. She Was Not blind

We shall discover from the parable that the woman was not a blind woman, she has eyes, thence she could decide to put the light on and to search for the lost coins in her room.

15. She was Initially not happy

At the initial moment when she could not find the money where she has placed it, her head would be empty, and she will not be happy.

That is it is for God when he loses man, he was gravely sad not happy and started to seek for man in the garden of Eden. (Gen 3) After he sends man out of the garden, his heart still yearns after us and he continues to look for us through different means until he sends his son to redeem and deliver us.

16. Different thought will fill her heart during this period

In case she has welcomed someone into her apartment before the loss, she will think about the person maybe she is the one who took the money along. It is being said in my land that, it is only the person who owns a thing that is clean (or free) when something is lost, every other persons are suspects. He will think about someone she greeted, someone who shakes hand with her among other things maybe they are the one who has tampered with the money when she was searching for it. Different horrible thoughts would occupy her heart.

That is the position of man, that is how our heart is since the fall of man.

Even when we do not lose anything our minds also thought of terrible things,

"Gen 6:5 And GOD saw that the wickedness of man was great in the earth, and that every imagination of the thoughts of his heart was only evil continually."

Therefore the apostle counsels in a strong terms that we should think of honorable things always.

"Php 4:8 Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things."

I shall continue with the explanation in the next article.
