The underground ministry…Deliverance from Demonic possession. Part 3

As a child growing up in Sunday school we use to sing this song, “The devil is a sly ole fox if I could catch him I’d put him in a box. I’d lock the door and throw away the keys for all those tricks he played on me” Boy how many times growing up I wish I could of done just that. In our Christian walk we are taught certain words to help us use against the attacks of Satan and his buddies. Here are a few, of course we are taught that the name of “Jesus” is the most powerful name we could ever us. Then there are these other words we use as we pray or sometimes use it directly at the enemy they are “Rebuke” to turn back or keep down (Webster) and “Bind” to bind, fasten with chains, to throw into chains.

We as Christians can rebuke and bind demons in a person. What we are doing is taking control of them. We also can rebuke Satan but we can not bind him. If we could bind Satan (to throw into chains) then we would not have any troubles in our lives or the world. I say this so we will have clarity in our prayers. In deliverance we need to know the words we are using against the enemy. I have heard ministers say in their prayers “we bind you Satan” I wanted to jump up and say “excuse me but we can not bind him, but what a wonderful world it would be if we could”

Now I would like to introduce to you Ruth, Ruth is Tina’s mom. Ruth has been very active in Tina’s deliverance, although it would break her heart seeing her daughter fighting for her life. The demons would be very up set with Ruth because she along with her husband was the ones that were Tina’s spiritual head. Ruth would take time off of work to bring her to me, Ruth was the one that would read the Bible to Tina, and Ruth was the one that would encourage her to seek God. One morning I received a phone call from Ruth telling me Tina was making her very nervous. She was telling me while Tina was getting dressed for work she asked Ruth to read the Bible requesting “putting on the armor of God.” Tina sat on the couch putting her shoes on while Ruth started reading the passage. Tina looks up at her mom with a glair that could kill and said in a very angry hateful voice “SHUT UP I DON’T WANT TO HEAR IT.” Ruth looked up from the bible and right away knew what she needed to do; she went into prayer, silent prayer. The demon said to Ruth with a smirk tone “I know what you’re doing I can read your thoughts.” Then Tina got up and went into the bathroom and started talking to her self in the mirror. During this whole time of deliverance I advised Ruth not to provoke the demons at home because this was more then she could handle and was very new to her. The demons would try to hurt Ruth every time she would get close to Tina during a meeting. They had reached out to kick her many times and the words that were coming out of her daughter’s mouth would shock a sailor. As my husband would say, “You kiss your momma with that mouth?” So Ruth would pray on the side lines and a very good intercessor prayer partner. Ruth said to me the years with her daughter were very interesting, she could not understand Tina’s mood swings and now that the demons were found out her moods became very violent. Ruth now recognizes the works of the demons in Tina’s life and sees how they controlled her and why her moods were as they were.

It was around 12:00am I received a phone call from Tina, if I would not have had caller Id I would have not known it was Tina and might have hung up on her thinking it was a prank call. The voice on the other end sounded like someone was talking with a swollen tongue. I could barely understand what she was saying plus she was talking softly with hand cuffing the phone as to not let anyone hear her. She was asking me if I could hear her and I said “barely” and she continued to say she didn’t want “it” to hear her. She talked a little more still not able to understand her, I heard the words bed, tongue, big and then the phone hung up. I tried calling her back but no answer. I quickly called her mom who just happened to be up getting a drink of water. I asked her to go check on Tina and explained why. She opened the door and found Tina on the bed scared to death. She told her mom this big shadow came out of her closet came to the side of her bed and threw her out of the bed. Then reached down and was holding her tongue so she could not say the name of “Jesus” and continued to tell her what he thought of her for seeking deliverance. She finally was able to reach for her phone and called me. The demon turned around and walked back into the closet. She described him as BIG, tall, arms that were long almost touching the floor and mean. I was able to pray a protection over Tina for the night.

I never liked Tina’s room. She kept it dark and every time I would go into her room I was not able to breath and the hair on the back of my neck would stick straight up. There was one time though we went to Tina’s house to visit the family so we slept in Tina’s room and she slept on the couch. First thing I did was say a prayer over the room and my husband and I then went to bed. I had been asleep maybe two hours and I was awakened by the bed shaking like someone came by and pushed the bed. I at first look to see if my husband had moved, turned over but nope he was very still. Then I looked around the room and knew what was going on so I started rebuking and went back to sleep. It was now around early morning and once again the bed was shaking. I once again started rebuking and laid in bed praying against what ever it was. In my spirit I felt it was trying to intimidate me but I knew my God would protect me. I was able to fall asleep for a little while longer then every one started getting up. Tina got up and walked passed the door and I called her in the room and asked her how she slept and she said “not well at all” I asked why? She said that a shadow was standing over her on the couch and she asked how I slept. I went on to tell her what had happened to me and she asked why? It was all just an intimidation on their part knowing my husband and I were there for a prayer meeting.

We just got done eating breakfast and was sitting around talking. It was me, my husband, Ruth and Tina. Our conversation was about Jesus dyeing on the cross and taking communion. Tina asked if we could take communion and I said “sure why not” so as Ruth and my husband was done preparing it and passing it out, Tina jumped up on the back of the couch and started yelling and screaming saying “GET THAT BLANKITY BLANK STUFF AWAY FROM ME” then the battle begins. This was a time before the spirit of Abaddon was gone. We were in prayer for about 5 hours and during this time we sat back in worship and suddenly Tina started levitating. Now that was the first for me. My husband laid across her legs to bring her back down her brother was pressing on her shoulders. We got her back down on the ground and continued praying. Was anything delivered? I would say yes, the weaker demons would be forced out by the strong holds. There is a ranking of demons. First you have the strong holds that would be considered the Generals in the military, and then you break off in ranks on down to the soldiers. At this time I would say that soldiers were being kicked out to protect the strong holds. I always asked for evidence as they leave so I would know they did not just go back down. I was specific and asked for them to come out as vomit. I know that sounds bad but I needed to be satisfied they were gone. A spirit leaves by, vomit, coughing, burping, farting either way it’s gross. I found I had to change the way they left her body because she had the spirit of bulimia and that just brought that spirit to life again. Ruth would find Tina in the bathroom with her whole fist in her throat throwing up.

I praise God he is my deliverer, my strong tower. If you find your self in deliverance or just needing to pray and don’t know what to say, pray the prayer Jesus taught his disciples. This prayer ticks em off big time.

Our Father, who art in heaven,
hallowed be thy name.
Thy Kingdom come,
thy will be done,
on earth as it is in heaven
Give us this day our daily bread.
And forgive us our trespasses,
as we forgive those who trespass against us.
And lead us not into temptation,
but deliver us from evil.
For thine is the kingdom, the power and the glory. For ever and ever. Amen

Tiredflesh, thank you for reading my hub. Thank you for your comments. The part about Christians having demons I will refer you to another hub I wrote. "Answering an age old question, can Christains be possessed" hopeful that will show you I believe they can. Again thank you and nice meeting you.

CarrieG (author) from Nevada on May 22, 2015:

Thank you for even taking the time to read 1-3. There are allot of different ppl in this world who believes in different things. I am not at all angered or disappointed that you feel different from me. This is why I call my ministry "the underground ministry" I do not go and search for ppl that are needing help. God sends them to me. But all in all, I am honored that you read those many parts for not even believing in possession. Again, thank you for reading.

Carrie.....So sorry I've taken so long to return to your site. Sometimes my best intentions go off course. I suppose this happens for a lot of us.

Having read parts 1, 2 & 3, I feel I've been able to get a fairly good grasp of what you do, how it occurs and how very passionate you are about your serious spiritual work.

Carrie, I can have a healthy respect and admiration for any person who gives of their self to help another. I know you give all the glory to God and this is even more impressive to me. Your heart is pure.

Your stories have also been very educational on this topic. My only knowledge of casting out demons is in relation to the exorcism tales of the Catholic Church, especially the story told in the movie so many years ago that was allegedly based upon a true life experience.

With all due respect, I am unable to force myself to even believe in demonic possession in the first place, so that pretty much leaves me in the group of people who don't accept the practice of exorcism. This does not prevent me from appreciating & respecting your passionate beliefs Carrie and I'm sure you understand this.

Thank you so much for directing me to your site. It has been an informative experience for me..... Blessings to you. Peace, Paula

like to put my to bits in here! i believe Christians can't be possessed- how can the devil and the holy spirit share the same temple! only when a christian leaves the path is his body in danger of that! in fact he will be worst off then before he was a christian. king saul was a classic example of that! and if we are possessed its because god gives permission to the evil spirit to do so! no christians get oppressed by demons, mostly because god is getting our attention because of some sin that's giving satan some ground- but not always! job was oppressed in horrible fashion, to test him, but god rewarded him for his standing firm and for his troubles! i believe we are a new type of angel manufactured here on earth, that has witnessed, seen and even tasted evils devastating effects right since creation! this in turn produces a more loyal spirit unto god- at least those whom turn to god. so that's why we were created with a pain sensory perception! so our souls can be disciplined! otherwise we would be free and cause the same havoc in heaven like the fallen ones! because the soul can't be destroyed it is immortal. it's like the demons, they can only be inprisioned. james 4:4 "The spirit that God placed in us is filled with fierce desires." 6 But the grace that God gives is even stronger. so the suffering of this world as bad as it is, will be better in the end for our souls! that, i think is what will be our qualifier to judge even angels! because we are souls that have had the anti turned up! not being born into a glorified state like an angel, but to a quite humiliating state of weakness, frailty and suffering. so non christians out there don't kill yourself- that is dangerous for your soul!- instead commit to god- be baptized in water as a sign of repentance, symbolizing the flood that god sent to clean away evil-so many christians don't acknowledge this is what baptism represents, it is johns message of repentance! jesus is the one whom made forgiveness possible, and gives us the second baptism of fire! which is symbolic of the completion of the destruction of evil, through the indwelling and help of the holy spirit. like end times god destroys the earth by fire-not water! when one gets brazen and cocky messing with deliverance of evil spirits (talking by personally experience not pointing fingers at anyone but myself)- forgetting lord is master over all sometimes lets loose these ones to put us back into a healthier and cautious perspective!

this is of course my own interpretations, so like i have experienced i am never to old to be wrong!

god bless.

I picked up something more here, I speak to the demons as well and they do nothing, in fact the intensity grows at which they tighten their grip around me pressing and squeezing around me like a boa constrictor. I am going to pray and ask God to help me with that head knowledge and transfer it to faith of the heart. I am so glad you are doing this ministry, it is so badly needed and you can hardly find anyone here in the west. I pray God delivers me and I can do it because I desire too very much!!! God bles you.

CarrieG (author) from Nevada on November 27, 2010:

Sorry I didn't mean to put those question marks on the above statement.

There is a deference in “a devil” demons and “The devil” Satan.

So again I do not believe we can "Bind, Tie" up Satan.

CarrieG (author) from Nevada on November 27, 2010:

Sorry it has taken me so long to get back with you on this subject, let me try this again to show you were I get my information. This can be confusing so bare with

First I want to show you what each would means in Greek. This will show you the definition on the words we use to day and what they really mean in the Greek language. I have found all of this on bible study tools with Strongs numbers. I am using the KJV.

Devil-Greek word is,”dahee-mon-id'-zom-ahee” the definition is, to be under the power of a demon. King James Word Usage - Total: 13 possessed with devils 4, possessed with the devil 3, of the devils 2, vexed with a devil 1, possessed with a devil 1, have a devil 1

So we find here that instead of using the word “demons” they are calling them “devils”

Satan- Greek word is, “Beelzeboul” the definition is, "lord of the house"

a name of Satan, the prince of evil spirits.

Verus 29 is kinda like a parable, the strong man is the owner of the home. You can not go into a mans house and rob him unless you tie, bind up the owner first. There is no mention in the KJV verse 29 of Satan being tied up.

The first part of this scripture Jesus is talking about binding and casting out demons (devils). The second part is talking about one having power over the other.

So the person who is demon possessed is now a “devil”, demons house (host) they live in them. That demon would be considered the “strongman, stronghold” We as Christians have to do battle and through prayer bind, tie, the strongman and get him out of there. There is a deference in “a devil” ? demons and “The devil”? Satan.

You stated, James 4:7 and Ephesians 6:10-18 are not speaking to those that are already possessed. Right? These verses speak to us so that we can PREVENT possession and oppression from the enemy. And my answer is Yes you are correct.

I recommend that you do search on words; this will help you understand what the original words mean in Greek. Like I said I go to and hit the “Bible Study tool” then go to any verus you want and look it up under the KJV and below the scripture check the box that says “strong’s numbers”

Again thank you for your comments.

Hi Judah's daughter

It is always good to hear what you have to say. You need to write your testamony down if you had not already done so. I would be interested is reading it.

Again thank you for commenting.

Debradoo from Cocoa, Florida on November 22, 2010:

James 4:7 and Ephesians 6:10-18 are not speaking to those that are already possessed. Right? These verses speak to us so that we can PREVENT possession and oppression from the enemy.

However Matthew 12 concerns possession which was never prevented to begin with. .. Matt. 12:22 Then a demon-possessed man, who was blind and couldn’t speak, was brought to Jesus. He healed the man so that he could both speak and see. 23 The crowd was amazed and asked, “Could it be that Jesus is the Son of David, the Messiah?”

24 But when the Pharisees heard about the miracle, they said, “No wonder he can cast out demons. He gets his power from Satan,[d] the prince of demons.”

25 Jesus knew their thoughts and replied, “Any kingdom divided by civil war is doomed. A town or family splintered by feuding will fall apart. 26 And if Satan is casting out Satan, he is divided and fighting against himself. His own kingdom will not survive. 27 And if I am empowered by Satan, what about your own exorcists? They cast out demons, too, so they will condemn you for what you have said. 28 But if I am casting out demons by the Spirit of God, then the Kingdom of God has arrived among you. 29 For who is powerful enough to enter the house of a strong man like Satan and plunder his goods? Only someone even stronger—someone who could tie him up and then plunder his house.

This is the NLT but the KJV uses the term 'bind' in verse 29 (rather than tie). And I understand what you mean concerning Rev. 20. But, I always took this binding to mean a 'physical and long lasting' binding. The binding spoken of in Matthew 12 would be a temporary spiritual binding, done to allow the possessed to have a moment of mental clarity, so they can know that what is happening to them is not the norm.

And I don't think you took long at all! :-) Thanks.

CarrieG (author) from Nevada on November 22, 2010:

Thank you for your comments, as always comments takes me back to the Bible to make sure what I had wrote was not contradictory to the Bible. You have given good scriptures, of a matter of fact I use them all the time. Let’s see if I can explain better then I did before. I am sorry if there was any confusion. Let’s start with what I said about “binding Satan” Revelation 20:1-10 reads that Satan will be bond for 1000 years then released for a short time and then finally thrown into the lake if fire (hell). I believe He will not be bound until Scripture says he will be bound. The 1000 when the Lord returns to set up His millennial kingdom, is a future event. Therefore, binding Satan today is unscriptural terminology and practice, even though the intent may be for God’s glory. If Revelation 20 is today, then Satan is already bound by God, and doesn’t need to be bound again and again by Christians! Any way you look at it, binding Satan shouldn’t be the norm for Christians today.

James 4:7 says that we are to “resist the devil and he will flee” from us. Ephesians 6:10-18 says for us to put on the full armor of God so that we can take our stand against the devil's schemes. Neither one of these scriptures have anything in it about “Binding” Satan. We are told to resist him, and to take on the full armor of God so that we can stand firm and extinguish Satan’s flaming darts. If it was possible to bind him today we would not be instructed on putting the various pieces of God’s armor. So if we could bind him we would have no cares in the world. In fact, the concept of binding Satan can actually be quite a dangerous belief. If we believe that we can bind him, we will wrongly think that he has been incapacitated, and we will be completely unprepared for his next attack. Our strategy, then, is to be fully armed to repel his attack. Putting on the whole armor of God and standing against him is the kind of resistance that thwarts the enemy’s scheming tactics, and forces Satan to flee. Whewww that was long, sorry

Now for binding and loosing, this I believe is the authority that Jesus gave his church. The “keys” represent authority Jesus is passing on to His church His authority or control to bind and to loose on earth. For example, If someone is bound by sin the church can “loose” him by preaching the provision of freedom from sin in Jesus Christ (Rom.16:14) If someone is indwelt by a demon the church can “bind” by commanding it to leave. (Acts 16:18)

Strongman (strongholds), these are the ruler demon that have possessed the person. General in the military is what I called them. I’ll explain who the strongman is, it’s that spider in the room (spirit if Idolatry) that keeps forming cobwebs (acts of Idolatry) all around the house. You keep cleaning (coming to God asking for forgiveness but it seems you can not stop the act) the web but time and time again they reappear. Once you get that spider (stronghold) out of the room the webs (acts) will stop. So the strongman is a ruler demon not Satan. So we need to swat (bind up) that spider (spirit of Idolatry) and get him out of there.

I’m not sure what you are saying about the Lords prayer, but what I was referring to is, since it was a prayer straight from Jesus, they do not like it. I believe that when we speak scriptures to them they can not argue with us because of the truth scriptures hold.

I hope I answered all your questions, if not please feel free to point them at to me again. Again thank you for your comments.

And sorry for being so long.

Debradoo from Cocoa, Florida on November 22, 2010:

Carrie, you said .. We also can rebuke Satan but we can not bind him. If we could bind Satan (to throw into chains) then we would not have any troubles in our lives or the world... end quote

Not sure what you mean by this (cannot bind Satan)?

Many teachers use this method of binding Satan according to the scriptures .. Matthew 12:29 and Mark 3:27 and Luke 21:22&23. Matthew 16:18-19 also support the process of binding, as does Luke 10:19 and 1 John 4:8.

This is most definitely not to be taken lightly however (binding OR rebuking), as you pointed out earlier. We must know whose we are and in whose power we bind and rebuke. It is spiritual warfare and we must be fully prepared for battle, in our hearts and minds both. Even the archangels respect the power of Satan and stand behind the only authority that is greater, that of Jesus. We must plead the blood of Jesus and use the name of Jesus in our warfare. And we must be in tune with our inner Witness and led by Him.

And I would like to say too, that the Lord's prayer was a prayer taught to the disciples BEFORE the blood was spilled forth. Wouldn't this matter? I look forward to your response.

Judah's Daughter from Roseville, CA on November 21, 2010:

Thank you. One other thing I experienced, which may be pertinent, is when I then realized I could come against demons with that faith. There's a hairline between coming against them and taking power over them to direct them (witchcraft). This is the temptation Satan comes at us with next. I went from wearing a white robe to a black one in that 'lesson' from God. I then quickly turned to Him and repented of that temptation.

The next time demons came 'at' me, that's when Jesus told me to stand behind His robes and have HIM rebuke them. This is the way, as I stated ~ based upon Jude 1:9 "But Michael the archangel, when he disputed with the devil and argued about the body of Moses, did not dare pronounce against him a railing judgment, but said, "The Lord rebuke you!" It's an exortation to those called to this ministry to remember to walk in that faith in Him alone, knowing Whose power and authority we operate. We must not cross that hairline.

CarrieG (author) from Nevada on November 21, 2010:

WOW thank you Judah's Daughter. That was good. Thank you for sharing with me. No need to apolozice I very much enjoy your input. I count it a blessing when you add to my hub. You speak truth and you add where I might lack in my writings. :-) I always look forward to your comments.

Judah's Daughter from Roseville, CA on November 21, 2010:

It is important I share with you first, that I asked Jesus to deliever me from anything that was hindering me from knowing Him and loving Him fully, as those who were powerful witnesses in my life did. He was faithful to answer, in a 'dream', but very real experience that night:

Remember when I shared with you that when I went through my deliverance (just God and me) I used the Word of God against Satan (his demons) and it didn't work? I called it 'head knowledge' (powerless). I used what the church taught Christians to say, which was, "Get behind me, Satan, in the name of Jesus Christ". Over and over I said it and it had no power. These demons were trying to completely possess and control me ~ how evil they are. They mock, laugh, use a person as a puppet ~ it's torment. My strength was about gone. We aren't very strong in comparison. There were six or seven of them.

My heart is all I had to cry out to Jesus, for they were attacking my mind, entering in and out of my head, causing an internal pressure (as though my head would explode). My teeth were cleanched as they laughed at each other saying, "Make her speak!" The muscles in my cheeks were spasming as I had nearly no strength left. Finally, my jaw dropped open and an evil roar came forth. I knew I was toast.

All this time, I had continued to say in my mind (when they were out), "Get behind me, Satan, in the name of Jesus Christ." No power.

This is when JESUS ASKED ME (in my heart) ~ "Do you believe that Jesus is the Son of God who died on the cross and shed His blood for your sins, and rose again on the third day?" Suddenly, I realized all I'd ever had was head knowledge, rather than heart-faith. It was like looking into my heart to see if I TRULY BELIEVED this. When I knew I did and confessed it to the Lord, He then said, "Now, say the Word with FAITH."

I said those very same words, one more time ~ this time with heart-faith and the power that it brings (the Holy Spirit). They immediately left. My scalp tingled as they lifted and dissipated. I was incredibly exhausted, but I knew what it meant to be saved. Oh, if we understood, what we have been given and how very much Jesus loves us.

Salvation is not just walking the aisle, saying the words (lip service), being water baptized, doing all the works, religion, etc. It is simple, real FAITH. Letting the Holy Spirit IN to your heart. Truly believing and putting all your trust in the Lord Jesus Christ.

Sorry this is so long, but the Lord had me share this experience. It is the truth and I will never forget it. It happened 25 years ago.
