The Seven Sins That Bring Judgment

Proverbs 6:16 These six things doth the LORD hate: yea, seven are an abomination unto him

1. A proud look,

2. A lying tongue

3. Hands that shed innocent blood

4. An heart that deviseth wicked imagination

5. Feet that be swift in running to mischief,

6. A false witness that speaketh lies

7. He that soweth discord among brethren.

THESE SINS ARE DEFINED IN THE ORDER THEY ARE LISTED

1. Having a high opinion of oneself or self-centered – Haughty eyes

2. The fall of man began with a lie -fudging the truth

3. Taking the life of an innocent person – land will pay

4. Proverbs 15:26 The thoughts of the wicked are an abomination to the LORD: but the words of the pure are pleasant words.

James 4:11 Speak not evil one of another, brethren. He that speaketh evil of his brother, and judgeth his brother, speaketh evil of the law, and judgeth the law: but if thou judge the law, thou art not a doer of the law, but a judge

5. When the wicked thoughts and imaginations are formed in the heart, the feet are quick to carry them out such as worldly places etc.

Isiah 59:7 Their feet run to evil, and they make haste to shed innocent blood: their thoughts are thoughts of iniquity; wasting and destruction are in their paths. A false witness shall not be unpunished, and he that speaketh lies shall not escape.

Proverbs 12:22 Lying lips are abomination to the LORD: but they that deal truly are his delight.

Dear reader, did you know that some people just cannot see or accept any good in anything that others may do and accomplish unless it was their idea thus becoming guilty of climbing up the ladder of success at the expense of others.

These Mouths Must Be Stopped

Beloved, the seventh sin listed in this study is a person that would sow discord among the brethren. This transgression in disrupting the body of Christ is called called abomination.

The word abomination as listed in the dictionary a thing that causes disgust or hatred!

Wow beloved, this sin or transgression if not atoned for, will cause God to turn his back on an individual including instant sever judgment which will will discover examples of such later on in this study.

1Timothy 5:13 And withal they learn to be idle, wandering about from house to house; and not only idle, but tattlers also and busybodies, speaking things which they ought not.

2 Thessalonians 3:11 For we hear that there are some which walk among you disorderly, working not at all, but are busybodies.

Titus 1:10 For there are many unruly and vain talkers and deceivers, specially they of the circumcision:

11 Whose mouths must be stopped, who subvert whole houses, teaching things which they ought not, for filthy lucre's sake. Beloved, the Greek word Paul used in this verse actually means "To be deceased or dead".

Beloved, in furthering this study, we need to go to 3 John verses nine and ten which will give us the description of a man called Diotrephes which was used of Satan to hinder the work of the Apostle John.

3 John 9-10 I wrote unto the church but Diotrephes, who loveth to have the preeminence among them, receiveth us not.

10 Wherefore, if I come, I will remember his deeds which he doeth, prating against us with malicious words: and not content therewith, neither doth he himself receive the brethren, and forbiddeth them that would, and casteth them out of the church.

Beloved, there is a record in history that the Apostle John had encountered trouble with this arrogant leader Diotrephes before! The characteristics of this leader called Diotrephes can be found in many churches today especially those encountering gainsayers attempting to know more than the head anointing God placed over them.

People do not understand and realize that they are fighting against the anointing that they are sitting under because there can only be one head and the anointing flows from the head down and not from the body up to the head.

Characteristics of Diotrphes that are in some churches today!

1. Power and position were more important to him than the truth of spreading the gospel.

2. Prideful and let leadership go to his head

3. He did not acknowledge the leadership of other Godly people.

The Border Line of Abomination

Reflecting on the Lord's Supper

1Corinthians 11: 26 For as often as ye eat this bread, and drink this cup, ye do shew the Lord's death till he come.

27Wherefore whosoever shall eat this bread, and drink this cup of the Lord, unworthily, shall be guilty of the body and blood of the Lord.

28But let a man examine himself, and so let him eat of that bread, and drink of that cup.

29For he that eateth and drinketh unworthily, eateth and drinketh damnation to himself, not discerning the Lord's body.

30For this cause many are weak and sickly among you, and many sleep.

31For if we would judge ourselves, we should not be judged.

Beloved, for us to mistreat other members of the body of Christ such as living our life as if the body and the blood of Jesus means nothing to us would be counting the Lord’s supper as being meaningless in our lives.

It is a blessing and privilege to partake of the Lord’s supper but not without taking inventory of our life before God but the main sin that will bring judgment including death is clear in verse 30 and that is how we have treated other members of the body of Christ.

Abomination as Illustrated In the Book of Esther Chapter Seven

1. So the king and Haman came to banquet with Esther the queen.

2 And the king said again unto Esther on the second day at the banquet of wine, What is thy petition, queen Esther? and it shall be granted thee: and what is thy request? and it shall be performed, even to the half of the kingdom.

3 Then Esther the queen answered and said, If I have found favour in thy sight, O king, and if it please the king, let my life be given me at my petition, and my people at my request:

4 For we are sold, I and my people, to be destroyed, to be slain, and to perish. But if we had been sold for bondmen and bondwomen, I had held my tongue, although the enemy could not countervail the king's damage.

5 Then the king Ahasuerus answered and said unto Esther the queen, Who is he, and where is he, that durst presume in his heart to do so?

6 And Esther said, The adversary and enemy is this wicked Haman. Then Haman was afraid before the king and the queen.

7 And the king arising from the banquet of wine in his wrath went into the palace garden: and Haman stood up to make request for his life to Esther the queen; for he saw that there was evil determined against him by the king.

8 Then the king returned out of the palace garden into the place of the banquet of wine; and Haman was fallen upon the bed whereon Esther was. Then said the king, Will he force the queen also before me in the house? As the word went out of the king's mouth, they covered Haman's face.

9 And Harbonah, one of the chamberlains, said before the king, Behold also, the gallows fifty cubits high, which Haman had made for Mordecai, who had spoken good for the king, standeth in the house of Haman. Then the king said, Hang him thereon.

10 So they hanged Haman on the gallows that he had prepared for Mordecai. Then was the king's wrath pacified.

The Importance of The Golden Sceptre

Esther 5: 1-2

1 Now it came to pass on the third day, that Esther put on her royal apparel, and stood in the inner court of the king's house, over against the king's house: and the king sat upon his royal throne in the royal house, over against the gate of the house.

2 And it was so, when the king saw Esther the queen standing in the court, that she obtained favour in his sight: and the king held out to Esther the golden sceptre that was in his hand. So Esther drew near, and touched the top of the sceptre.

Semon Note: Beloved, why would God’s throne need to be guarded as spoken of in Ezekiel 28:14

EZEKIEL 28:13-15 13Thou hast been in Eden the garden of God; every precious stone was thy covering, the sardius, topaz, and the diamond, the beryl, the onyx, and the jasper, the sapphire, the emerald, and the carbuncle, and gold: the workmanship of thy tabrets and of thy pipes was prepared in thee in the day that thou wast created.

Sermon Note: Notice, this could not have been the referenced King of Tyrus as listed in this chapter because he had never been in Eden.

14 Thou art the anointed cherub that covereth; and I have set thee so: thou wast upon the holy mountain of God; thou hast walked up and down in the midst of the stones of fire.

15 Thou wast perfect in thy ways from the day that thou wast created, till iniquity was found in thee.

ISAIAH 14:12-14 12 How art thou fallen from heaven, O Lucifer, son of the morning! how art thou cut down to the ground, which didst weaken the nations!

13 For thou hast said in thine heart, I will ascend into heaven, I will exalt my throne above the stars of God: I will sit also upon the mount of the congregation, in the sides of the north:

14 I will ascend above the heights of the clouds; I will be like the most High.

Beloved, to better understand and get a view of Cheribums guarding the throne of God, we need to think about how God all through history worked in types and shadows which always revealed his action and plans in the redemption of mankind.

One such reference could be Moses being told the second time to speak to the rock which represented Christ because he would only be struck once referring to the crucifixion thus in referencing the King extending the Golden Sceptre to Esther would give us a view of God extending Jesus as that Golden Sceptre welcoming us the redeemed of the Lord into his presence and fellowship.

My Conclusion

Dearly, beloved, we have explored some of the sins that God hates because they work in harmony to disrupt the preaching of God’s word and cause confusion among the body of Christ. Such is the seventh sin which is listed as abomination in the eyes of almighty God.

Dear reader, the writer concerning the sixth sin we studied, stated that God hates it but beloved, the last one mentioned which is a person that would sow discord among other believers.

Beloved, this type of person causes God to abhor and disgusts him to the point that mercy is on a fine line including instant death.

In closing I will try to reveal what his Spirit has revealed to me concerning this important study. Yes beloved, in more than 35 years of ministry, I have watched these sins disrupt, cause confusion and even to the extremity of closing the church, the ministry and even an entire organization because leaders did not try to cut the serpents head off when it first appeared through one of the members.

Beloved, this last sin described as abomination, is a person allowing the enemy to disrupt the harmony and unity in a church body something like the working of a Jezebel spirit causing confusion, division, strife, jealousy, tale-bearing including forming their own little cliques among the saints of God.

These types of people do not have and are not led by the blessed Holy Spirit.

These people are a stink in the nostrils of God and will be cut off without remedy.

Dear reader, in closing thought may I ask you a very important questions that I believe can shine light on this entire seminar?

1. Beloved, what happens when God turns his back on a person guilty of the seventh sin that Proverbs the sixth chapter states is an abomination.

Dear reader, Spontaneous Combustion happens when something is so close together like wooden poles stacked on top of one another or clothing so closely packed that air is unable to get between it which causes heat.

Beloved, what about hay or straw that is in a closed place and without warning the heat is so hot that it starts to produce smoke.

2. What causes a person to burn up on the inside and never catch anything on fire such as burning through a chair in their home without catching the house on fire or walking down the street and suddenly something happens in their body and they begin to burn on the inside.

Beloved, I do not have all the answers or even have proof that my theories concerning someone crossing this line with God will suffer instant judgment but just like the soldiers covering wicked Haman who was no longer worthy to be in the presence of the king, there are and have been instances of people that with no reason catch on fire with their internal organs becoming the fuel that is feeding the fire till they are consumed.

Beloved, this should give all of us a wake up call that we must reverence and respect almighty God as the standard for all things because beloved, all creation both seen and unseen are dependent upon him to sustain it but he does not need anything to sustain him.

Beloved, Almighty God is not confined or restrained by time, distance or the law of physics because with just the word of his mouth, galaxies and worlds were created.
