The Real Religion Part II

Ecclesiastes 12:13 "The conclusion, when all has been heard, is: fear God and keep His commandments, because this applies to every person."

I don't understand why there is so much conflict at the moment of communicating our own thoughts, experiences...or beliefs. If freedom really exists then what is the issue with those that love Eloaha, Jehovah, Elohim, El Shaddai, Adonai, Yahwe, El-Gibhor...Yahweh-Sabaoth... Jesus of Nazareth, Emanuel, Christ; and trust the Creator as Lord and Savior. Can we also proclaim and share what we have found? If so, please let me sit near you by this communication way to share what has given new life to my existence.

Thank you!

I started this article with the words that I ended the article I wrote titled: “The Real Religion”. I will always quote the Bible when I am talking about what is written in it's pages. “For the word of God is living and active. Sharper than any double-edged sword, it penetrates even to dividing soul and spirit, joints and marrow; it judges the thoughts and attitudes of the heart.” (Hebrews 4:12).

A religion is a set of beliefs; I know that everyone believes in something; in James 2:19 it says: “You believe that God is one. You do well; the demons also believe, and shudder.” I understand that having faith in God and seeking Him in spirit and truth does not constitute the act of a religion. Loving God and accepting Him as a Father is more than a mere “religion” We are free in God, we are not inside four walls. He respects our liberty. In John 5:16, we see a Jesus without a religious behavior, as in many other verses “So, because Jesus was doing these things on the Sabbath, the Jews persecuted him”. In this verse it identifies what a religious person is able to do. John 5:18 says: “For this reason the Jews tried all the harder to kill him; not only was he breaking the Sabbath, but he was even calling God his own Father, making himself equal with God.

Christianity is the name used to identify the followers of Jesus because He was crucified. It was men who use this term and not Him. The truth is that:

In the beginning...

Personal experience

I usually do not interpret God’s Words with my own since many places in the Bible says: “Do not add to his words, or he will rebuke you and prove you a liar.” (Proverbs 30:6).

I will try not to argue what is written in the Bible because in 2 Timothy 2:14, as in other verses, states that: “Keep reminding them of these things. Warn them before God against quarreling about words; it is of no value, and only ruins those who listen.”

We all need a personal experience with God. Romans 12:2 says: “And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, so that you may prove what the will of God is, that which is good and acceptable and perfect”.

Blessings to all!! May Jesus' request be in us as follow:

I am no longer in the world; and yet they themselves are in the world, and I come to You. Holy Father, keep them in Your name, the name which You have given Me, that they may be one even as We are.” (John 17)

Ericdierker no sorry is needed. Thanks for taking time leaving your thoughts!

Eric Dierker from Spring Valley, CA. U.S.A. on January 23, 2013:

OMG I am so sorry about the transgender mistake.

The bitchin cool part here is your attitude. It comes in through your writing. That is awesome.

But you breathe life into your interpretations and that is everything.

shofarcall thanks! I used Barbara Streisand's song with the purpose of demonstrating that there are so many different people all around the world lifting God's name, in one way or the other. I know what you mean with the 'a bit suspect". Look at it this way like in Luke 9:50 "Do not stop him," Jesus said, "for whoever is not against you is for you."

Maria Magdalena Ruiz O'Farrill (author) from Borikén the great land of the valiant and noble Lord on January 23, 2013:

Ericdierker before I say thanks I will say I am a, now thanks! You are right let's keep the true word that by the wisdom of God does not need interpretation by any man.

shofarcall on January 22, 2013:

Yes, in Jesus we are free indeed. I had never heard BarbaraStreisands song before and yes, it is beautiful but some of the thoughts therein were a bit suspect and the last bit of imagery????

I really enjoyed the hub.

Now we are talking bro. Let us keep the true word.
