“Meditation is listening to the Divine within.” ~Edgar Cayce
This is a guided meditation that takes you on a healing journey through nature in which you get to connect with a Beautiful Being of Love. I use the metaphor of the labyrinth to help you connect with this special being.
The labyrinth is transformational tool designed to help you find your way.
Meditation is beautiful way for a person to feel more connected. In fact, I believe it is a powerful tool that can bring about Unity Consciousness. Meditation also brings about a sense of peace and serenity. It takes you to your center, balancing your mind, emotions, body, and spirit.
I have included a video, located below, of the guided meditation, as well as the written script. Enjoy.
Peace, Love, and Light
The Labyrinth Meditation
I want you to sit back and make yourself comfortable…Imagine that you are sinking into a fluffy cloud…Good…Now take in a nice deep breath and blow out any stress or discomfort you are experiencing…This is your special time…Take in another deep breath, bringing in all that positive energy…Exhale, letting your breath relax your entire body, mind, and soul…You are enjoying this sense of peace and feeling more relax which each breath…You are sinker deeper into your cloud…It feels so pleasant and relaxing…You feel safe and protected…Now, one last deep breath in…Hold it…Now let it out slowly…Good…You are sinking deeper and deeper into relaxation…
I want you to now imagine that you are out in nature…There is a magnificent golden sun shining its beautiful light onto your body…It feels absolutely wonderful and soothing…It feels almost similar to the cloud you were sinking in…You feel its love and protection…As the light touches the top of your head it turns into a liquid light that flows down your entire body…You find yourself sinking deeper and deeper into relaxation…This beautiful liquid light gently flows down your face and neck…Moving down your shoulders and arms…And out through the tips of your fingers…The liquid light now flows down your chest and back…Through your hips and down your legs…And out through the tips of your toes…Good…You feel completely relaxed…
Now let’s take a journey to your safe space…This place can be anywhere…This is a special place that only you know about…You feel completely safe and protected here…Perhaps this is place that you connect with your guides and angels…Or this might be place where you connect with yourself…This place is about you…You are welcome here anytime…I want to give you a moment to connect with your safe space…
You now find yourself on a path…You are somewhere in nature…It is a perfect day…The temperature is just right…There is a slight breeze that feels great on your body…You notice many beautiful trees and flowers that are very pleasing to your eyes…You also hear the sound of birds singing…Their bird songs are very soothing and relaxing…And the scent of the flowers and the trees are also very pleasant…You are also surprised in the amount of love that you feel from this forest…It’s as if nature fully supports and loves you on this special journey…
As you continue walking down this path, you notice the sound of rushing water…The sound of the river is very soothing…It’s flowing water is a reminder of the love that flows within you…This powerful force connects you to everything…
When you reach the bend in the road, you can now see the river…It is absolutely beautiful…You notice a small raft that is tied to the dock…Feeling very curious you decide to borrow the raft in order to cross the river…There is a part of you that knows you have to go there…
As you get off the raft, you notice another path…And in the distance you see some type circular pattern…In the sky you see two beautiful blue birds fly overhead…Feeling excited you decide to hurry down the path…What you discover is that this circular pattern is a Labyrinth…From your studies you have learned that a Labyrinth is used to help people find their way… And in the middle of this Labyrinth is a beautiful being of love…
You enter the Labyrinth and begin walking its circular path…You can smell the fragrance of lavender, rosemary, and thyme…You feel protected and safe…There is also a slight breeze that touches your soul with love…You now find yourself in the middle of Labyrinth…And the beautiful being of love greets you…This beautiful being takes your hand into theirs…You realize that this beautiful being is YOU…This is the part of you that sees everything from the perspective of love…This beautiful being, that is you, reminds you that you are unconditional love…This is your true nature…You can step into this by simply being love…And if you forget, simply take the circular path that will lead you back to your center…Remember you connect with me anytime you want to…I will now slowly take you back to your current reality…
One, feeling returning to your toes and fingers…Two, you feel balanced and centered…Three, you feel connected…Four, you feel relaxed and confident…Five, you realize that you are a beautiful being of unconditional love…Six, your eyes open…You are completely aware.

- Walking a Labyrinth Is How You Walk Your Life
Did you know that walking a labyrinth is a reflection of how you walk your life? It is a form of meditation that reconnects you back to your Self. Many institutions have incorporated these amazing therapeutic labyrinths into their facilities.

Dan, thank you very much for sharing your thoughts and experience. The labyrinth that you and your fiancé made sounds wonderful. :)

This is great! Thanks for reminding me about labyrinths as a meditative tool. My fiancé and I made a twenty foot labyrinth sand-sculpture on a beach in wales a couple of years back. We hid in the dunes and ate our lunch while we watched people drift towards it and walk the path. That was a good feeling! :)

I enjoy the walk on a labyrinth like the photo above. We discovered one recently in a retreat center here in Cebu. Thank you for this beautiful guide to silent walking meditation. I hope one of these days I can write my thoughts and experiences during walking. :) Love and light Terry! Voted up!

Marie, thank you very much for the kind words. Meditation can definitely help us connect to our God self. Almost anything can be meditation when done with awareness. Walking in the park is a beautiful way to empty the mind. Walking a labyrinth is also a form of walking meditation. It helps to balance the right and left sides of the brain. It is used in hospitals to help calm patients.
There are many different types of labyrinths, made from different types of materials. Google labyrinth images and you will be surprised in the amount of different labyrinths there are. There are even hand-held labyrinths that you use with your fingers. I have made my labyrinth with materials from our backyard. The Glen Ivy Center in southern California has a herbal labyrinth. It is an amazing experience to walk through this labyrinth.
I'm not really sure why the circular pattern is important, but I'm sure there is an important reason why it is designed that way. I will have to do some research. :)
Thanks for voting this hub Up and awesome. :)

This was beautiful, Terry. Meeting our God self in meditation is the highest form of meditation. You mentioned I believe in Facebook that you have a small Labyrinth in your garden which I mentioned to my s/o. :) I wish I could have one too, but since we don't, I have taken to walking back and forth in the park while emptying my mind; it's soothing. However, I now realize after reading this meditation that the Labyrinth is circular, so the movement should be circular.
Voted up and awesome of course!
