Seed Of Life
Flower Of Life
Tree Of Life
The Flower of Life is sacred geometry and contains within it all five Platonic Solids, which are the building blocks of the Universe. While this mysterious symbol was well known to our ancient ancestors, it remains relatively unknown to the general public. In this article The Flower of Life, we will explore its mysteries while unlocking the symbolism and sacred geometry that motivated our ancestors to inscribe it on their temple walls all over the world.
This symbol, made up of 19 equal size circles surrounded by two larger circles, has been found in Tibet, China, Egypt, Greece, Japan, Ireland, Turkey, England and Israel. The Flower Of Life is comprised of one circle, with six equal sized circles arranged at 30º angles around the first circle all meeting in the exact center of the first circle. This shape is described by a larger circle forming around it circumference and is known as the Seed of Life, which we will learn about later.
Six more circles surround the original circle, with each one connected to the circle next to it at a point on its circumference, while also meeting at the first ring of circles exact center as they pass through them. The final set of six circles rest on the original circles circumference, while also passing through the center of each of the first set of six circles, also at 30º angles. Finally the whole shape is surrounded by two larger circles that encompass it.
If this sounds confusing, try counting them, if you have trouble rest assured that I have already done it for you and the entire shape is made of twenty-two (22) circles. This is important because the Pythorgoreans held the number 22 as a sacred number, we will learn why in my next article The Infinite Harmony, Is God A Musician?
It is fairly easy to construct your own Flower Of Life on the computer assuming of course you use the correct thirty degree angle and have the software for it, I recommend Adobe Illustrator. However what is important to recognize is that if you then connect all the points where the circles cross each other, shapes will form. These shapes are known as Platonic Solids and as I mentioned above are the building blocks of the Universe.
The Flower Of Life is important because it symbolizes the cycle of life through shapes found within it, let me explain. This shape is called the Flower of Life not just because inside it contains 19 different five petal flowers but also because the number five represents the cycles of all life. A good example would be the life of a fruit tree and we can also use it to mirror human life.
- The Seed of Life, represents the beginning or insemination.
- Just as the seed in the womb grows, eventually it sprouts or gives birth to life pushing up through the ground from the womb of Mother Earth.
- The sprout, just as the child matures into adulthood, grows into a tree and flowers as it embraces all of life.
- The Flower goes through a metamorphosis and becomes a fruit or begins the reproduction stage just as humans do.
- The fruit ripens and then falls to the ground and dies, returning to Mother Earth, just as humans do as well.
Then the cycle begins again as the seed inside the fruit returns to its beginnings or soul returns to its original dimension, the cycle of life is complete.
Another important consideration is that the symbol or shape of the Tree of Life, which can also be found inscribed on ancient temples all over the world is contained within The Flower Of Life. Many people may think that the Tree of Life was a purely Kabbalah symbol but it has been found inscribed on ancient structures that predate Judaism by thousands of years.
So while both the Seed of Life and the Tree of Life can be found inside The Flower Of Life, the most important shapes might be the five Platonic Solids.
Platonic Solids in the Flower of Life
The Platonic Solids are known as the building blocks of the Universe because all matter is made up of particles in these five shapes, which is why it is considered sacred geometry. These shapes are found within The Flower Of Life by connecting the points the circles make as they cross each other. Below is the names of these five shapes, how many sides they contain and their connection to the elements.
- Tetrahedron is an equilateral four sided pyramid that is connected to the element fire.
- Hexahedron is an equilateral six sided cube and its element is the Earth.
- Octahedron is an equilateral eight sided diamond and its element is Air.
- Icosahedron is an equilateral twenty sided shape and its element is Water.
- Dodecahedron is an equilateral twelve sided shape that is connected to the ether or Universe.
They are named after the Greek philosopher and mathematician Plato whom was born sometime around 428 B.C. He related these shapes to the four elements and the Universe because of their description and how they felt, intuitively. Initially he was given credit for discovering these shapes however it has since been learned that many ancient cultures were aware of them.
They are unique from other shapes because each vertex of the solid must coincide with one vertex each of at least three faces with angles of 108º or less and these only consist of triangle, square or pentagon faces.
Also found within The Flower Of Life is what is known as the Vesica Piscis which shows the Golden Mean proportions. This term, is used to describe the width and length of two measurements found when two equal radius circles are placed on each other's circumference. The area that forms from where these two circles cross each other is the Vesica Piscis.
There are two measurements in the Vesica Piscis that are very important, one is the length between the points where the two circles cross and the other is the width and center of the first measurement, this is known as the Golden Mean proportions. Every line in the Tree of Life is made up of this Golden Mean proportion, this is not a mere coincidence and is why this information is so important.
Biologists, artists, musicians, historians, architects, psychologists, and even mystics have pondered and debated the basis of its ubiquity and appeal. In fact, it is probably fair to say that the Golden Ratio has inspired thinkers of all disciplines like no other number in the history of mathematics.
Why these two measurements or ratio is considered so important is it is found in nature over and over again. The human body is made up of this Golden ratio, it is found in seashells to the spiral arms of our galaxy and everywhere in between..

- The Powers That Be, Exploring the Mysteries of Planet Earth
Learning to think with our hearts allows us to overcome the censorship of knowledge by The Powers That Be and develop faith in power greater than ourselves, known as God.
- Photon Belt or Golden Nebula is Earth's Ticket To Ascension
As our solar system enters The Golden Nebula or Photon Belt, it will reboot humanities spirit and consciousness, allowing mankind to create a new paradigm of unconditional love, harmony and peace.
- Gods and Goddesses Conditioned Humanity to Be Their Slaves
The Annunaki created the current race of mankind to be their slaves and mine their gold to save their planet Nibiru. They taught us civilization but learned to be our gods.
I wrote this article The Flower Of Life only after conducting an informal poll, in which I merely asked thirty people from all walks of life if they had ever heard of The Flower Of Life. The results of my poll were startling to say the least, only a handful had and of those only two could accurately describe what it was.
This ancient knowledge has been kept out of mainstream education system not because people cannot grasp its complexities but because this is exactly the kind of information that shows our ancestors were far more intellectually sophisticated than we have been lead to believe.
This exactly the kind of knowledge you might find in a Dan Brown novel or as the fundamental information of secret cults and organizations, such as the Freemasons. This knowledge gives us the basic foundation to understand our Universe and nature in ways that can lead to a better understanding of the complexities of mathematics, geometry, art, architecture, music and even our own minds and the way we think.
It should be taught to every school kid from the elementary level on up until it is ingrained in our thinking process, it is not an accident that it has not.
Is it a Conspiracy?
Is Knowledge Power?
You bet it is, it is a conspiracy of silence and censorship to prevent mankind from recognizing their true nature and role in the Universal play that governs our existence. Our ancient ancestors had developed a far greater understanding of the fundamental knowledge of existence that we are only now rediscovering.
I hope you enjoyed reading The Flower of Life as much as enjoyed writing and researching it, only by understanding and embracing the knowledge of our ancient ancestors and the past do we have any hope of creating a new paradigm closer to the heart, here in the present and future.

feel free to share those on TERCES if you feel right about that.

I have experienced this personally both through meditation and also through a healing/cleansing which I received from higher sources. The flower of life is also where Metatron's Cube is derived from. I see you did touch upon that lightly but didn't actually mention Metatron. I actually wrote about one of my experiences with this in article about Reiki and Orgonite.

Sometimes simple isnt as bad as it seems. A person can be complex, intelligent, deep and yet still be simple. Its refreshing if you choose to view it that way. I enjoyed this well written article. Never liked the harry potter books either.

No, by all means, I get it . . . writing articles at the college level or beyond when your audience reads at the sixth grade level is somewhat counter productive.
I picked up a Harry Potter book the other day just to finally see what all the fuss was about and couldn't believe how simplistic, insipid dreck it was . . . I mean all these people have been saying how wonderful these books were for years and I was reading at that level in the 3rd of 4th grade.

Yeah, I used to be more proud of my vast knowledge, universal awareness and supreme intellect, but then I began to realize how asinine the canvas was that was receiving my artistic paint splatters and whatnot. So, uh, I started to redirect my cognitive advancements to a more internal matter while temporarily listening more, viewing & thinking less, only to realize how my initial instinctual, intuitive brain waves were spot-on from the get-go. If that makes any sense to you, then, well, you know what I'm talking about. Duh! Ha-ha!

I was thinking your average mortal (insignificant flea) has the attention span of a gnat but epiphany works too. We will see if I can rise to the challenge of editing the vast amount intellectual knowledge seeping from my very pores and swelling to a bursting point from my cranial appendage.

No, nor did we dwell on the Latin terms and phrases in math. Back then, the 4D tesseract was the coolest thing since the ice maker; ha! Just kidding...
As for your latest literary epiphany, I agree. I think that style is more fitting for the masses. Most people would probably prefer succinct over a thesis, in my opinion.

Did your geometry class discuss sacred geometry, platonic solids, Golden ratios and Vesica Piscis?
Thanks for reading, I'm going back to short and sweet, heavy on facts light on emotion.
Insane Mundane from Earth on February 27, 2015:
Yeah, the "Flower of Life" happened way before the "Matrix Multiplication" was ever published on Wikipedia; ha!
Good grief, this stuff reminds me of how easy it was for me to forget most of the concepts from my advanced Geometry class in the late '90s.
