Dark Art in Modern Times
A modern man reacts to the sounds of witchcraft either with mockery and humorous outbursts or suspicion. But nevertheless, the dark arts continue to cast a shadow in the folk traditions and folklore, making many of us to wonder, if this is just a rabble of silly tricks and illusions or whether it is infinitely more sinister than we want to admit. Magic cloak of prejudice and superstition that surrounds Western societies is increasing systematically day after day.
It was in 1576 when the plague struck Venice and deprived life of over 50,000 people. Without the benefit of science during those years, people have thought other explanations for the tragedy, one them was baffling black magic. Specifically, vampires were accused of participating in a fascinating mix of unearthly activities.
The same was believed by the Venetian gravediggers, who felt that this woman was a victim of black magic or vampire and they put a stone in her mouth to exorcise the undead nature and thus to prevent infecting others.
Archaeologists many times bring to the light the stories of death, sickness and torture by black magic in order to help to explain the unexplainable. One such archaeological discovery showed a skull of a woman with a stone in her mouth when her remains were found among the victims of the plague of the 16th century in the mass grave of Venetian island Lazzaretto Nuovo. The stone had a strange design and vividly visible bite marks. It is like the stone was placed to prevent the woman from biting the living. Woman's teeth or what was left from the teeth, show unusually long fangs exactly matching the bite marks on the stone.
It was 1912 when archaeologists found the remains of dozens of babies in an excavation in the English countryside: the skeletons were dated back from the Roman era, somewhere 1,800 years ago. The black magic was employed again as an exegetical principle of practice. Careful examination of 35 skeletons revealed that most infants were 38-40 weeks at the time of the death and the reason for death indicates infanticide. But were those infants killed to perform magic or were sacrificed to protect from it...
The decomposition usually takes places after death. As you well know, the decomposition of the body can sometimes differ under certain conditions. The fat of the soft tissues of the body can be converted into clearly tougher stuff, like the common soap, which acts as a preservative. In 1997, therefore, a headless corpse, sprinkled with a blue mineral, found floating in the lake of Switzerland, magnetising the collective imaginary scenarios of black magic. Science had another opinion however and soon debunked the fact, talking about the special but normal procedure described previously.
Astral Projection - Sciense Response
Countless people have reported experiences when their spirit leaves the body and travels undisturbed here and there. Science has now begun to understand how the human brain creates these experiences, by ‘playing’ them in the laboratory. So it has been found experimentally that experience outside the body can be induced by stimulating the right "parieto" - temporal section of the brain, suggesting that such experiences associated with the failure of decoding of sensory information from a specific part of the brain.
Ancient Curses - How They Sound
There are two curses that were found in the history of humanity. Both curses reflect a goddess, possibly Hecate, with snakes coming out of her hair, maybe to attack victims. The curses are written in Latin and Greek but include invocations to the deity, and refer to the late Roman society.
The fact is that we know neither where nor by whom they were written, we are no longer sure of how exactly those curses worked.
The first target was then the Roman senatorial Festus and the second vet Porcello (ironically enough, the «Porcello» means in Latin "pig "):
" Destroy, crush, kill, strangle Porcello and his wife Maurilla. Soul, heart, back, liver ... " writes an inscription
At the same time in the case of Festus the curse " Smash Festus, kill the senator," I wish him to dissolve, melt and be drowned' ...

I have been a white side, but have been using black to make things kinda right. 2 r/\2wr mentality. I use the Angelic runes for a source of safety. I have cast spells, but I condone with white.

Curses and black magic are local beliefs in some rural areas in the Philippines. That includes spells, love potions, and even death. There are still many things that are beyond our understanding, but that doesn't mean they don't exist. The locals have their "talisman" or sacred medals that they wear wherever they go --- to avoid curses. How effective they are...only the heavens would know! Interesting hub!
