Reasons to Trust God

Some people believe they can do things on their own. That is so far from the truth. People cannot do things without the help of God whether they acknowledge it or not.

No matter what station you are in this life, you need God to guide you in the way to go, to protect you, and to provide for you. You might think you don't need help in any area, but God is willing to help you in all areas if you would just trust Him to do so.

Here are just a few of the many reasons to trust God with every fiber of your life.

God created you in His own image. Surely, you are not divine. However, as a human being, you should be a reflection of God. When you look in the mirror, you will see your own face. If you could see your inner being, you would see that God has put in you everything you need to represent Him. Therefore, you can trust Him to be with you as you live your life.

You can trust that God created you for a special purpose. According to Ephesians 2:10, "We are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand so that we would walk in them."

In the above scripture, Paul says God prepared you for good works even before He created you. In other words, your purpose is older than you are. You fail God, others, and yourself when you don't walk in your purpose.

You have everything you need for the special assignment God custom-designed for you. You are out of alignment when you try to do what others do because God gave you the gift, personality, temperament, likes, and dislikes to complete the tasks designed just for you.

If you fail to do what God planned for you, you will never be content. Not only that, but you fail God, yourself, and the people you were designed to help along the way.

You can trust God to help you live according to the purpose for which you were created.

You should be confident that God is always with you. The scripture, "He will never leave you or forsake you" is mentioned several times in both the Old Testament and New Testament because God wants you to remember that.

Since God will never leave you nor forsake you, you can trust Him to guide you throughout your journey called "life." God knows everything about you, and He wants you to know everything about Him. He wants you to know without a shadow of a doubt that you can and should trust Him. He goes ahead of you to prepare the way. He walks beside you so your feet will not slip. He goes behind you to protect you. And surely, He is always above you as a pillar of cloud by day and a pillar of fire by night to guide you like He guided the Israelites for forty years as they traveled through the wilderness.

Trust God to keep His promise to never leave you nor forsake you.

God will teach you as He promised in Psalm 32:8.

"I will instruct you and teach you in the way which you should go; I will counsel you with my eye upon you."

God will teach you as He promised in Isaiah 48:17.

“I am the Lord your God, who teaches you to profit, who leads you in the way you should go."

Here is a summary of why you should trust God. No matter what you are facing right now, and no matter what doubts you have, remember these truths:

  1. God created you in His image to be a reflection of Himself.
  2. God created you for a special purpose.
  3. God will never leave you nor forsake you.
  4. God will teach you in the way you should go.

All of the above statements indicate what God will do to get you to trust Him. Now, it is your turn to do what Solomon wrote in Proverbs 3:4-6.

"Trust in the Lord with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths."
