My Ideal World In a Nutshell

Audrey's desire to help others understand human behavior led her to study psychology. She specialises in Self-Limited Thinking.

No Complainers Allowed

Have you ever taken a minute to visualize what your ideal world would be like? It isn't as easy as you might think. It's easier to think about what you don't like about the world you're living in.

But focusing on what you dislike will not bring about change. Complaining consistently usually makes things worse. To complain is an act you create all by yourself. When you begin complaining about one thing, you attract negative energy and patterns making it easier to complain about more.

Don't confuse complaining with having an adverse reaction, which is perfectly okay. Complaining can become addictive; the more you do it, the harder it is to stop.

So, in my ideal world, I choose to stay away from complainers, and I'm also careful about any negative seed I may be on the verge of planting.

I do prefer the "glass have full" type of people. Compassionate and caring personalities have a place in my ideal world.

My ideal world is filled with animals and children.

My ideal world is filled with animals and children.

Children, Animals and Unconditional Love

  • Fill my world with animals. Our fur children can teach us all we need to know about love.
  • My ideal world is safe, and children run free and play without fear. Child abuse does not exist at all in any form. Bullying is unheard of, and children are reared in light and love.
  • All love will be unconditional. There are no conditions or limitations. Unconditional love allows us to love ourselves first and others asking for nothing in return.

5 Favorite Quotes About Peace

Why do we fight instead of loving each other? I've been given many reasons why we fight, which are all unacceptable. I think peace comes from the soul and from living a moral life. In my ideal world, fighting is replaced by love and joy.

Inspirational Quotes always seem to bring me a certain feeling of peace. Here are five of my favorites:

  1. All we are saying is: give peace a chance. John Lennon
  2. Permanent good can never be the outcome of untruth and violence. Gandhi
  3. When the power of love overcomes the love of power, the world will know peace. ~Jimi Hendrix, American Musician, Guitarist, Singer, and Songwriter
  4. Peace is the beauty of life. It is sunshine. It is a child's smile, the mother's love, the father's joy, and the togetherness of a family. It is the advancement of man, the victory of a just cause, and the triumph of truth. Menachem Begin
  5. Gratitude makes sense of our past, brings peace for today, and creates a vision for tomorrow. Melody Beattie

Mother Nature and Her Children

We must never take Mother Nature for granted and always, always appreciate and protect her.

George Washington Carver said it best~

"Reading about nature is fine, but if a person walks in the woods and listens carefully, he can learn more than what is in books, for they speak with the voice of God.”

How anyone can enjoy a picnic in the living room of Mother Nature, then walk away leaving litter, is something I just don't understand. We don't throw left-overs, cans, bags and garbage on our own floor. When I see someone doing this, I walk over to their spot and without saying a word, clean everything up. Do actions speak louder than words? I think our actions hold a most powerful message. In my ideal world there is no litter.

Rejoice And Be At Peace

My ideal world is filled with the following:

  • Fresh fruits, vegetables, grains, everything healthy and plenty for all. No one would ever go hungry.
  • Pure, clean water is always available to quench the thirst. All food would be grown organically, of course.
  • There is music in the air, accompanied by laughter and delight.
  • We dance to the rhythm of the ocean waves, the wind as it strolls through tree branches, and droplets of rain kissing each flower's waiting face.
  • I sing like an angel in my world, uniting the heart with its soul. My nimble and pain-free fingers dance with the touch of each piano key.
  • At last, I can play all 32 Beethoven Sonatas, the complete works of Bach, and every Chopin Prelude, with ease and accomplishment.
  • I am surrounded by children of all ages, colors, and forms. I live my childhood as I once dreamed it would be.
  • I am again with my brothers and sisters . . . all of them. We rejoice and are at complete peace.

I Thank my Creator For My Gift of Music

The piano is my soul. When I perform, I'm in my ideal world. I thank my creator for my gift.

The piano is my soul. When I perform, I'm in my ideal world. I thank my creator for my gift.

I'm Re-united With My Son

My ideal world is complete because I am with my family and friends. All those so dear to me, including my beautiful son who has passed on.

And last but certainly not least, my ideal world connects me with my hub page buddies and friends, whom I have never met except through their writings.

There is undoubtedly more to mention ~ but for now ~ this is my ideal world in a nutshell.

Sannel on July 17, 2012:

If more people could be as compassionate, unselfish, loving and beautiful like yourself and your daughter Lisa, then there would definitely be less hate, greed and selfishness on this planet. I just wish people took the time to give a stranger a polite smile or perhaps share a kind word. It could bring someone an unexpected happiness. Thank you for this wonderful read. Take care, Sannel

It is an excellent hub. Your writing has values. How many of us realize it. What you said “Compassionate and caring personalities definitely have a place in my ideal world. Memory of the past is the sweat bits of moment of pleasure” is wonderful to visualize. I bow down to your greatness of mind.

tamron on April 18, 2011:

I had the same question why does everybody resort to violence? Not only resort to violence but profit from it do men like to fight and kill each other is it in their jeans. I don't get it! I share the same views of what the world should be like.
