The Conversion - Moving From Desktop Christian To Tablet Muslim

The conversion process is really quite simple. Just find out what Muslims do and simple do it. OK, it may be a little more complicated than that seeing that nearly all terrorist attack are "supposedly" carried out by Muslims. You might want to leave out the self genocide and focus more on surviving; that's just my two cents. If you are moving from the religion of Christianity to Islam (from desktop to tablet) you may find the conversion a little difficult at first seeing that your are seasoned into doing things the old christian way. You may have to dump your bible and catch up with the fast selling Book of Qur'an. There we go again, another book written by some dude telling mankind what to do and what not to do. But if you want to be the trend setter you are and the fad follower, you had better get these books. So now you have logged into the Qur'an and have retired the one hundred different Bible versions that were already gathering dust in the box you placed under your bed. You follow the upgrade process of the Qur'an and install all the necessary components which will allow you to sparkle with this new fad.

Now that you have the Qur'an down to the T, you better do a bit of house cleaning. You don't want when your Muslim buddies come over to have a few drinks (non-alcoholic of course ) and they notice the 50 pounds of bacon you have. Get with the trend buddy, get rid of the pork and all those other unclean beast you bought at the supermarket, if you had ready your trendy Qur'an, you would no that those stuff are haram. So now you have become trendy diet of Allah, its time to move to the new Fad; The Dress Code.

@NZ Girl, The feeling is mutual. People ask me if religion can be a fad...Of Course! Anything that is catchy, have people doing it even without really knowing why or what they are doing can be termed a fad. The only difference with religion is that you have elders and books to follow!

NZ Girl on October 04, 2015:

Nice hub! I've almost felt like people have seen me as a loony these past few years when I'd mention noticing a trend in becoming Muslim or following a religion almost spontaneously.

I have seen many young people around me converting to Muslim however have found it quite funny to suddenly see their posts on facebook from their weekend at the clubs or pictures with their boyfriend/girlfriend in bed. I am not against religion but I feel as though it has indeed become a fad and that instead of actually following a certain set of views and beliefs, it is more about looking "unique" and "exotic".

Thanks for this.

Clive Williams (author) from Jamaica on August 18, 2015:

Thanks for your insight Kevin Goodwin. To me, religion is a long term fad, it can be dropped and changed at anytime. New rules and way of thinking can be imposed at any time. New sensations emerge in religions at any time. But righteousness which involves total love of life and goodness can never be a fad as it has no law of man but the law of the heart.

Kevin Goodwin on August 18, 2015:

Interesting hub and your response were both were good. But I still do not see any religion being a fad, but I could also be wrong. It might be more people are becoming Muslims but to what degree, are they following the pillars of Islam would be my question for them?

Thanks for your insight franko

Frank Atanacio from Shelton on May 20, 2015:

I stand corrected my friend

Clive Williams (author) from Jamaica on May 20, 2015:

Many will agree with you frank i am sure. But anything that a mass of people begin to flock to and taking a persona on may be a fad, religion, music. dress etc. The thing is that some people see it as serious while some are just going with the flow. Religion across the globe is a joke nowadays, from pedophile catholic priest to damn near mentally crazed Muslims. All following the lead of someone they never met.

Frank Atanacio from Shelton on May 20, 2015:

interesting hub clive.. but I don't know.. no matter how you turn the screws here religion is no Fad..
