  • Words Create Perceptions
  • Words carry power
  • words are a tools we use to perceive the world by naming and labeling what we’ve experienced
  • Words are symbolic each word stands for something . Its how we communicate our discoveries and creations to others
  • Example: Isaac Newton discovered gravity its more accurate to say he labeled it . The use of the word gave us a category to put this information in and talk about for years
  • You create yourself worth largely with self talk and the labels you apply to yourself you also create your mood and emotional state
  • We frame our emotions based on what has happened to us at certain moments

Mind-blowing powerful ways to overcome negative words

Dr. Masura Emoto & His Experiments

In the 1990s, Emoto conducted an experiment that showed that when water was frozen and free from all impurities, it would form fascinating ice crystals, that looked like snowflakes under a microscope. At the same time, water that was polluted or had things added to it such as fluoride would freeze without forming any crystals. During the experiment, he poured pure water into identical vials, but each with a phrase on them such as 'I Hate you', 'I Love You', 'Peace', or 'Fear'.

After 24 hours, the water within the positive phrase vials which included ‘I love you,’ or ‘peace’, formed beautiful snow-like patterns under a microscope, whilst the negative phrase vials such as ‘I Hate You’ or ‘Fear’, resulted in grey or yellow-ish formations that looked more like clumps than snowflakes. These experiments concluded that the energy projected onto something can actually change the physical structure of an object, whether it be positive or negative. The results and findings from this study were more further delved into in Emoto’s New York Times bestseller ‘The Hidden Messages in Water’, and further in popular 2004 documentary ‘What The #$*! Do We Know!?

The truth about empowering your mind with powerful words

In another experiment in the following years, Emoto tested the power of spoken words and their effect on two cups of cooked white rice. Emoto left the two jars in an elementary school classroom, with one labelled as 'Thank You' and the other labelled as 'You Fool'. The students were then instructed to speak the words on each of the labels to the corresponding jars twice a day. The experiment concluded after 30 days, and the rice that had 'You Fool' labelled on it had turned into a black jelly-like mass, while the rice that had 'Thank You' marked on it was as white and fresh as the day it was made.

How to understand spectacular ways in bringing about empowerment

Words cannot change reality, but they can change how people perceive reality. Words create filters through which people view the world around them. A single word can make the difference between liking a person and disliking that person. If a friend describes the person you are about to meet for the first time as untrustworthy, you will be predisposed to view that person as untrustworthy, regardless of the person's actual level of trustworthiness. The single word "untrustworthy" creates a filter, or primacy effect, that predisposes you to view the person you are about to meet as untrustworthy. Thereafter, you will tend to view everything that person says or does as untrustworthy.

Empowering your mind to overcome negative energy of words

Words have power. They can destroy and create. Sometimes a single word can change everything. ... Words have energy and power with the ability to help, to heal, to hinder, to hurt, to harm, to humiliate and to humble.”

“Each word - even when it's not spoken - carries a vibration that can impact your other senses. This vibration can cause you to sense heavy or light, cold or hot, bright colors or dark.” Using the right words can raise your vibrational frequency, so be on the lookout for your positive energy words.

“The language you use brings forth the life that you create. And the words that you use over and over are the language that teaches you - and teaches the world about you. Your words are reflections - images of yourself.” - Sharon Anne Klingle

It is interesting to note that many people have not amounted to anything much in life because they allowed what others said of them to dominate their minds . They held on to the opinion of others over their destiny.

Les Brown was told by one teacher that he didn’t have it in him to amount to anything in high school..For a long time his school life reflected the belief . The words of that teacher towards Les Brown..Because he accepted them as true he never thought he was capable until another teacher helped him change that perception. He told him he could do and be anything that he wanted to be…Those words helped Les Brown get up and get going.Today the world is blessed to have someone like him- A Radio Presenter, Motivational speaker.Yet one perception almost crippled him.

The only way to overcome a limitation brought about by negative words is by your refusal to dwell on them .Deny it as false why should you accept an account of you based on another's perception. Most of the great man in this age and time pass were man and woman who were told that they couldn't amount to anything.

Oprah Winfrey, didn't believe in the words people labelled her:

  • How did she do all of that, and more?
  • By not believing what she was told.
  • While being poor, black, and female in rural Mississippi may have been facts of her early life, Oprah did not believe that those labels were the sum total of her existence.
  • She did not believe that she was limited by those labels.
  • She did not believe the people in her life who were telling her that she would never amount to anything because of those labels.
  • Oprah could have easily let those whispers become the story that she told herself, but she chose differently. She faced her fears and challenges and believed in herself.

''A word has the power to change your life. Think about that for a moment because it is literally an Earth-moving statement – to change your life. ... Words can influence us, inspire us or just as easily bring us to tears. Words change our relationships, our demeanor, our entire system of beliefs, and even our businesses''.

''Words are like weapons while the person who originally spoke them may have been silenced, the words live on with a capacity to change the world through all those who embrace them. Words are definitely more powerful than guns. Think of other particularly powerful words: thank you; I'm sorry; I love you; hope; trust; courage; peace.''

Thank you so much. Words do make a world of difference. Spoken or silently held in thought.

Hello, Charity, in my primary school days, I and others were told a related story: sow an act and reap and habit, sow a habit and reap a character, sow a character and reap a destiny. Words, whether we are aware or not are powerful tools that make or mar a person. We should always be refused negative words or talks. The positive is still plenty. Associating with positive and straight forward people helps. That is what happens to Les Brown. Thanks for sharing such a wonderful story.

And, welcome to Hubpages. I wish you the best ever!
