Hand proportions

Big, small hands - that's how we judge instinctively, we have some innate feeling of a normal hand. Unfortunately, for the hand to be able to scientifically evaluate and describe, the subconscious voice is not enough. We definitely need a scale by which we can orient ourselves. The body is "arranged" not as a ball, but according to the laws of proportion, but the norm is an ideal proportion. It is a useful abstraction, everyone's dream, but in life, it is practically absent.

Thus, in a harmonious body, the length of the arm from shoulder to fist inclusive, ie without fingers, is three head lengths. Artists have cared about these proportions since ancient times. Artists tried to determine the proportions of the body and the arm before scientists.

The Egyptians chose the length of the big (Saturn) finger on their scale and called it a module. The module corresponded to one-nineteenth of the whole body. Let us remember the number “19”, the life and planet (lunar) cycles associated with it. As the old sculptures in the Louvre show, these proportions were observed. This means that once upon a time people were more "stretched".

The following proportions were observed in Greek sculptures: the length of the knee and the distance from the base of the nose to the first horizontal line of the forehead corresponding to the length of the big toe. Later, in the time of Leonardo da Vinci, the proportions changed slightly. P. Richter's method is now used. For example, the length of the big toe along with the joint is half the length of the head.

Thus, in order to determine the proportions of the body, it is not enough to measure the length of an arm or leg in centimeters, it is necessary to take into account the relationship with other organs. Determining proportions are therefore a very individual matter.

Please provide some specific details. The "standard" length of the hand (without a joint) for people of all ages is usually as follows:

  • Newborn - 6 cm
  • 3 years - 10 cm
  • 10 years - 13 cm
  • 15 years - 16 cm
  • 25 years - 18 cm

The width of the hand is 1 cm less than the length. The width of the very wide arms is 2 cm greater in length.

Let’s keep palmistry an art and leave the science out of it.

How to know a cursed hand?

Finger length: The interdigital tissue hides the actual length of the fingers. Measure the outside of the hand from the joint to the tip of the finger. Again, we will consider the most stable thumb (Saturn) to be the primary unit of measurement. We will compare everyone else to it.

The fingers are usually shorter than the nameless, sometimes they are equal. The long index finger is about 0.5 cm shorter than the big toe and the shorter index finger is more than 1 cm shorter. A similar relationship with the big one corresponds to the nameless finger.

The forefingers of the mentally ill - primarily dementia - are often unnaturally short and reach only the third member of the big toe (like monkeys).

The baby usually ends at the third anonymous limb, and the normal thumb in the middle of the lower limb of the index finger. Whose forefinger is strong, the thumbs are strong and strong.

The fingers are made up of three phalanxes connected by joints. The thumbs are an exception, it has only two phalanxes, their length is different, the lower one is usually longer than the upper one.

Finger length is related to the development of human consciousness and thinking. At their ends, a concentrated sense psychophysically indicates special signs of intelligence.

All fingers are like fingers, and His Majesty's thumb is peculiar. It is planted in the palm of your hand in a different, special way, making it the busiest. Because of this position of the thumb, a person can feel the shape of objects in three dimensions and determine the distance between two points. It's very important. The thumbs can work together with any other finger individually and altogether. He controls the whole hand. Palmists call the thumb the most human finger because only in the human hand did it flourish so much. The thumbs of the monkeys are just a parody of the finger, tiny bumps. The exception is the cappuccino thumbs of the monkeys.

The thumbs correspond to the expression of personality, I myself. The first (with a nail) member shows the power of the will, the second - the power of the mind. The third member is integrated into the palm of your hand and is called Venus Hill.

If the base of the thumb is planted in the palm of the hand very low and deep - its owner is rough, animalistic, lives controlled by instincts, or the person is weak, adapted to life by imitating others too much. If the base of the thumb is planted shallow, too high - natural human instincts are very limited. These people are mentally ill-adapted, immobile. Their way of life is peculiar, very fixed and they adhere to it. No logical arguments affect their long-established opinion. So don't engage in a discussion with such a citizen, they won't even hear your clearest arguments.

Pay attention to the interdigital film. Indian magicians perform special exercises in this part of their hands to awaken the energy of their ancestors. If the connective film at the base of the thumb is highly developed and resembles the corresponding films of floating animals on the legs, this indicates strong human instincts.

Angle between thumb and other fingers. If the hand is calmly laid on the table and the thumbs are effortlessly opened, the normal angle would be 60 degrees. This man is broad in nature, patient, and forgiving to others. The greater the angle between the thumb and the other fingers, the more the person seeks individuality and independence. His impulsive and unbridled temperament can turn into cruelty, but when judging a person, this statement must be confirmed by additional signs.

A thumb and palm angle of less than 60 degrees indicates a person is limited and dependent on the environment. Such a person cannot live alone, he needs connections with like-minded people. He shows no particular initiative and usually lives passively.

The thumb is constantly pressed into the palm of the hand by a very careful person, counting, swinging, deliberating. He values those around him without any concessions and without tolerance. He knows only one thing - personal interests. The "press" of the thumb is closed, not open - just not because of modesty. And if the claw of such a thumb resembles lobster tongs, its owner is selfish and greedy, even predatory.

For him, the most important thing in life is money. I wish you didn't meet such a person, especially when dealing with serious matters. Better let him live alone. A nail unlike “tongs” is that type of thumb that is for happy people. They are noble spirits, inclined to help others, sincere. They try to live quietly, they don't like to brawl, they are "home" people.

Rhythm and harmony

Two more interesting angles can be seen in the thumb - rhythm, and harmony. If they are both vivid, it shows a well-developed sense of harmony and rhythm in all areas. Its owner has creative powers, sincerely and very sensitively responds to all rhythmic stimuli in music, poetry, art, choreography. Rhythm is everything to him. It feels the rhythm of its surroundings and can automatically repeat it. Rhythm angles also speak of a hobby of order in both material and social matters.
