Is There an Underwater UFO Base in the Chesapeake Bay?
The Beginning: Visitations
This is a very complex, bizaar story, the pieces of which I have woven together over nearly 45 years and which points to a hidden underwater UFO base in the Chesapeake Bay. I will be very interested to read your comments after you read it. Perhaps you will have something to add to the story, another coincidence, sighting, or insight.
Back in the 60's I was a teenager living on a farm on the Delmarva Peninsula. The farm is about 25 miles south of Dover Air Force Base. It was not uncommon to see C-5 transport planes or jet aircraft on the horizon. It was from this base that jets were sent to Washington, D.C. to intercept UFOs over the White House in the 50's.
My interest in UFOs began in the summer of 1963 while my aunt and uncle were visiting the farm from out-of-state. Late at night during this visit, after I was supposedly tucked away in bed, I sat at the bottom of a dark staircase in the foyer listening to the conversations taking place in the living room. On this particular evening, my uncle was reading from the Bible about Ezekiel. Ezekiel claimed he was taken up from the earth by God. He described the craft, beings and his experience in vivid detail. I heard my aunt relate to my parents about seeing a cigar shaped UFO on her way to the Delaware State Fair in the 50's and having questions about a mysterious scar that appeared on her back during that time when she was in her teens and living at our farm. My curiosity was sparked and I immediately began to read the Bible and search for stories that could be describing an encounter with extra terrestrials.
But Wait! There's More...
Here is further proof that there is a hidden underwater UFO base in the Chesapeake Bay. About a mile south of Solomons Island is Pawtuxent Naval Research Test Center. In a recent Google search for any UFO sightings near the Patuxent Naval Base I discovered a thread about several UFOs had been sighted near the base in the mid-60's and into the 70's. Read what "Erno86"; a member of AboveTopSecret.com, in his thread, Radar Confirmed UFO over Pinecastle Electronic Warfare Range Tracking Station - May 14th, 1978 has to say. He also mentions seeing an alien in that area.
And to my further amazement, I read that author Timothy Good speculates that the U.S. Naval Air Station at the Pawtuxent river may be home to Amerca's secret UFO program.
Remember, we are talking about being told there is a UFO landing base in the "Solomon Islands" by a Ouija Board in the summer of 1964!
Read the letter and a post by "karl 12"; a member of AboveTopSecret.com", in a message thread, "Radar Confirmed UFO over Pinecastle Electronic Warfare Range Tracking Station - May 14th, 1978"http://www.abovetopsecret.com/forum/thread811325/pg1#pid13576673 which is further proof that a base must, indeed, be in the Chesapeake!

Need to Know: UFOs, the Military and Intelligence
The Base is Revealed
Because I had been experiencing psychic events since I was very young, by the time I was 16 I was staring into a crystal ball, relying on the Ouija Board to answer my questions, and meditating. During my experimentation with the board I experienced a very large orb which materialized in front of me upstairs in my house. It frightened me so badly that I stopped everything...until...that summer, when my aunt came for another visit. One of the first students of L. Ron Hubbard's Scientology and a psychologist, she was eager to try out the Ouija Board. I recall that summer afternoon as if it were yesterday: sitting at the kitchen table, hands placed on each side of the planchett over the board, asking the question that both of us wanted answered. "Where is the nearest UFO landing base?" Without hesitation the board replied: "Solomon Islands". Taking this to mean the Solomon Islands in the Pacific, we simply put the board away in disappointment. I never gave it another thought until...
2 years later, I'm watching a news story about a gentleman being interviewed about where he had seen a UFO. "The Solomon Islands, in Virginia" he answered. Oh. My. God. I immediately went to find an Atlas....and, yes, there they were, at the base of the Chesapake Bay.
Over the years this story has been brought up and my sisters and I have talked about driving down to the Solomon Islands many times. As we like to yell: "Road trip!"
Sightings
Fast forward to 1991: My son has been diagnosed with leukemia and we travel across the Chesapeake Bay weekly to Johns Hopkins for his treatment, a trip of about 198 miles. To pass the time I listen to radio shows, and while scanning for something interesting to listen to I came across "The Zoe Heronimous Show". On the day I discovered the show the subject of the conversation was UFOs being seen in the Chesapeake Bay. People were calling in and reporting sighting UFOs actually entering the Bay.
The Coincidences
Years go by, and my sister, who is also interested in the subject of UFOs, confided in me that she believed she was abducted as a small child while living at the farm. Under hypnosis she recalled a being standing beside her bed with huge eyes, "staring" at her. So disturbed by this staring she could barely speak about it.
Coincidentally, a UFO symposium was being held at Winterthur Museum in northern Delaware. We immediately signed up. One of the speakers just happened to be David Jacobs. At the symposium Jacobs did a slide presentation. On the screen was a list of things people who have been abducted experience and focus on the most: "staring". Being transfixed by the huge black eyes of the extra terrestrial staring into their eyes.
Another guest at the symposium, named Bob, last named started with an "O", was peddling a self-published book: The Chesapeake Connection. It was about UFO bases under the Chesapeake Bay.
The End of the Story, or Is It?
My now elderly aunt called me for a chat shortly before she died. We had not spoken in years. She wanted me to know she had been interviewed by Bud Hopkins about the long scar on her back and her 1950s sighting of the cigar-shaped UFO near the farm in Delaware.
Under hypnosis by Hopkins she recalled orbs of light appearing in her bedroom and being abducted.
My sister lives at the farm.

Lillyeth, this was an interesting story to share about UFO abductions and other strange behaviors in your family that's out of this world. Voted up for interesting.

In the early 60s my Aunt and Uncle retired to North, Va in a home that was on Mobjack Bay in the Chesapeake Bay. My uncle was a WW2 Captain of a ship in the South China Sea. One summer evening he and my aunt were sitting near their dock on their front lawn when they saw a series of UFOs enter the Bay. So startled were they that they did not acknowledge to each other what they had just seen for another 20 years when their son who was a pilot in the Vietnam War said that he had seen a UFO during his refueling duty on a KC 135. Only then did they tell their son what they had both seen. The reaction of my aunt and uncle to each other was "you saw that too?

Did you know there are tunnels under the earth that connect many of these bases and all are military? Google Underground Military Bases.

It's taken me a few years to gather up all the coincidences surrounding the story, but it all adds up. Thank you for commenting and sharing.
Debra Allen from West Virginia on April 05, 2014:
Oh WOW! Yes I do believe there are UFO bases all over the word and in the oceans too. I also believe there are wormholes that they are going to a fro in to here and there. I also had seen a UFO over my area and have had an abduction in May of 2012. I also believe that the Mayans went to another world through a wormhole. You are right..there are way too many coincidences to say that these things are not true.

Thank you Dale. It is what it is. I tied everything that happened over 40 years together, and, as incredible as it sounds, points to a base in the Chesapeake Bay near the Patuxent River Experimental Station.
Dale Hyde from Tropical Paradise on Planet X on March 31, 2012:
Most interesting and intriguing! I feel that UFO bases do exist in various places around the globe. To read such an account as yours, a personal account, even embraces my thoughts along those lines. Great hub! Voted up and interesting.
Suzanne Sheffield (author) from Mid-Atlantic on March 29, 2012:
Seriously! Just like Robert Anton Wilson, all these crazy coincidences keep piling up, combined with ETs, angels, and gnomes, oh my!
Parks McCants from Eugene Oregon U.S.A. on March 28, 2012:
Thank you Lilleyth for the interesting read. well, as you know from reading my Hubs, I'd be last to question the posibility of E.T. visitations. Busy nights!

Definitely not attractive (without wanting to sound offensive). Here are the details (and accurate pictures):

I have read The Day After Roswell myself. Yes, I do believe that there is another dimension that we cannot see, or only get a glimpse of occasionally. What did the alien look like? Was it bald or have sparse hair, blue-eyed and very attractive?
Marc Hubs from United Kingdom on March 07, 2012:
It's a crazy world. I do believe that extraterrestrial intelligence has been visiting Earth for a very long time. Myself I am an alien eyewitness and I have seen many UFO's also.
As for USO's, Lt Colonel Corso explains in The Day After Roswell how they dive into the ocean without so much as a splash, how they manipulate the gravity wave outside of the craft so there is no inertia inside, etc etc just as claimed by so many others.
I also believe it's highly likely that these beings are interdimensional, even some of the declassified documents seem to indicate so. However I have seen one in the flesh and they are very very real, may have even been a human/alien hybrid.

I have added more information to this story today. As recently as February 25, 2012 postings about sightings in the Chesapeake Bay in the 60's have been reported to AboveTopSecret.com.

Alastar, I wish I knew more about my aunt's experience with L. Ron Hubbard and scientology. This was in the mid-60's. I do recall a device she demonstrated on our kitchen table at that farm. I believe it was some sort of bio-feedback device. She was a very cool chick. I also think she went to D.C. for the Scientology meeting. The Patuxent Naval Air Station was "coincidentally" located at the entrance to the Chesapeake as well and now the home of the X-47B Unmanned Combat Air System which resembles a UFO. The USOs point to the hollow earth theory, one of the proponents of which is John Lear, who's father invented the Lear jet.
Alastar Packer from North Carolina on March 06, 2012:
Lilleyth this is a very interesting story you've written here. Your aunt was really one of the first Scientologist's, wow. Was she a member of his Sea Org. by any chance? Anyway USOs as they're called are quite common so it shouldn't come as any surprise about a possible base at the entrance to Chesapeake Bay. I talked to a former Navy official who saw two big sun like objects arise from the sea to the sky not 500 yards behind the ship during the 60s.
Suzanne Sheffield (author) from Mid-Atlantic on February 28, 2012:
Nell, I totally agree with you, but, why the coincidences? They clearly point towards the Chesapeake.
Nell Rose from Buckinghamshire UK on February 28, 2012:
Hi, fascinating story, I have so many opinions of UFOs, sometimes I believe in them, then other times I think, how can that be possible? I do believe though that if there are such things, I think they probably come from another dimension not another planet, we are so far away from other planets that it wouldn't make sense for them to come all this way and keep hidden, if its another dimension, they could possibly flash in and out whenever they want to, rated up! cheers nell
