How to Overcome Our Fears


Living in our fears can make us weak and a hopeless person. Most of us have fears in life, these fears are geared in our emotional, physical, social, mental, and other aspects of our life. Fear can make us wonder and ask ourselves "Why do I have fear of something?" or "Why God let me suffer from these fears" or "How can I overcome my fears?" These questions seem to be baffling and remain an interrogation to most people who find it difficult to extract answers. However, whatever it is that fears you suffer, the Bible provides us with explicit answers about our fears. The powerful verses and passages of God have been helpful in answering questions about our fears and can enlighten us through manifesting what the bible says about overcoming our fears. 1. Believing in God helps us to overcome our fears


"The Lord is my helper, so I will have no fear." (Hebrews 13:6, NIV)


Fear is an unpleasant emotion that is likely to cause pain and a feeling of despair. When fear dominates in our emotion, we are being deprived of hope and ending everything with failures. However, if we put God in the place where He belongs in the midst of facing our fears, He will help us to overcome our struggles and failures as this is the best way to overcome our fears. Believe in God for you to fear no more. Your struggles and failures are just the makeshift of your fears to deal; indeed, if you pray and believe in God, He will make out His assurance to you.


2. God will come and save you


"Be strong, do not fear; your God will come." (Isaiah 35:4, NIV)


The glory of God is near. His power can turn gloomy hearts into happiness. If your fears make you weak, then resist this inferiority, for God is around you and He will carry out the remedies for you. Your fearful heart will become unafraid to the struggles of life, because God will save you from your fears. God always listens, He always guides your path, He knows the right time for you to take some rest.


3. God didn't given us a spirit of fear


"For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind." (2Timothy 1:7, NKJV)

Our fears are an instinctive thing, not a part of God's blessings. If fears fall upon you, ward off its harm in your power, love and sound of mind as it can destroy the essence of God's given spirits of your life. Our power, love and a sound of mind makes up God's blessings for us; so, don't let our fears interfere with the blessings of God. Make fears be your courage for the enrichment of God's virtuous blessings in your life.


4. God takes away all our fears


"I sought the LORD and he answered me; he delivered me from all my fear." (Psalm 34:4, KJV)


Leave all your fears to God through praying. The power of prayer is boundless, for God listens to us, and He will make us renewed and be courageous enough to strongly resist our fears. Our fears can make us brave and a great-hearted person with the power of prayers that serve as our weapon to overcome our fears.


5. Trust removes our fears


3 When I am afraid, I put my trust in you.

4 In God, whose word I praise— in God I trust and am not afraid. What can mere mortals do to me? (Psalm 56:3-4, NIV)


Our trust in God is the foremost assurance that He can ever provide to wipe away our fears. God's promises are everlasting and genuine because He cares about us. He releases the tension of pains and struggles that we encounter along our fears. We should not be afraid to entrust in God about the fears that make us weak and hopeless. In God's powerful and discreet place, we are dwelling in a place where happiness is everlasting and out of a feeling of fear.
