How Does Your Consciousness Change When the Kundalini Awakening Is Complete?

How Does Your Consciousness Change When the Kundalini Awakening Is Complete?

The process of kundalini awakening is not just about the movement of energy towards the head, but also how it descends back to every part of the body.

On its descent, you are controlled by a supreme intelligence and not by an ordinary mind. It governs your mind, senses, and whole body to refine your thoughts, emotions, and entire life. Thus, kundalini becomes the tyrant of your life. This is the downward flow of kundalini.

How does energy evolve within you after the union?

The union of Shiva and Shakti in the crown of the head i.e. Sahasrara gives you the ultimate experience of liberation. The silent areas of your brain come into effect and a phase of illumination starts.

For a time being, the joint forces of Shiva and Shakti may make you lose your consciousness for a while. When this happens, a Bindu appears. It is a shining spot that symbolizes the concept of the whole cosmos. It is the sign of immense human intelligence and the source of the creation. Later, this Bindu splits back into Shiva and Shakti. This is the manifestation of the knowledge of duality.

How is the experience of liberation/samadhi different from normal experiences?

During the normal day-to-day experiences, you distinguish yourself as a man or a woman. But when the kundalini dawns, you reach the state of liberation. This means your experience is free from duality. You have Shiva and Shakti in complete union. At this stage, you don’t differentiate.

To some people, you may look childish or intellectual, but you won’t know it. You don’t see any variation among people. Your consciousness connects them all with divinity. You are not affected by physical or sexual distinction.

When the union of Shiva and Shakti moves back to the lowest place i.e. the Mooladhara chakra, the union gets separated into two entities. There’s a duality again in your mind and senses. It is difficult to describe the true meaning of samadhi or liberation because it is a non-dual experience.

Why does the awakening of kundalini be so important for you?

The reason why Shiva and Shakti go back to the lowest plane and become two entities is somewhat mystifying. It raises many questions, why do you need to awake kundalini and unite Shakti with Shiva in the Sahasrara, when it is to come back? What’s the point of reaching a higher consciousness? What’s the motive behind reconstructing the world? These questions are worthwhile, yet annoying. Thus, it is obvious to ask, “Why should we awake kundalini at all?”

You manifest lots of things knowing the reality that these things won’t last forever, whether it’s a house, money, relationships, luxury, or something else. So, why should you even care about it? This sounds crazy, right?

You do so much practice, live a disciplined life, and sacrifice gross desires to activate the chakras and Nadis to reach the higher realm. Once you reach the ultimate paradise and achieve unity, you decide to go back to ordinary life. But you don’t arrive alone, Shiva and Shakti descend with you. When Shakti comes back, it is understandable, but the arrival of Shiva is quite extraordinary.

What changes do you observe when the new consciousness descends?

When the union of Shiva and Shakti descend and get separated into dual entities, a new consciousness dawns within you. You live a regular life fulfilling your worldly responsibilities. Just like before, you become a game for passions, desires, and other such things. But this time, you are a skillful gamer and master of the art. You, no longer, take anything by heart, you involve yourself as a talented actor.

The transformed awareness develops within you, permanently. You are an adept thinker and doer, you don’t mull over matters to bring out the best of the present moment. The transformed being that dwells within you has awakened the silent areas of your brain.

Your knowledge is not limited to the available physical sources. You are connected with the infinite reservoirs of knowledge and wisdom from the higher cosmos. Your aura changes and you are recognized as a wise person.

On the descending of kundalini, why do Shiva and Shakti separate at the lowest plane?

The union of Shiva and Shakti in the Sahasrara ends on reaching the Mooladhara chakra. There’s a duality again. But being a self-realized man now, you not only sympathize but also empathize with the sufferings and dull affairs of life. You fully understand the concept of diversity and duality. You may amaze some people on how brightly you handle the hopeless situations of life.

Before the awakening, Shakti is the only energy that resides within you. This makes you concerned only with the matter. You are self-obsessed and have a don’t-care attitude towards the world. But after the awakening, Shiva and Shakti together live within you. This boosts your consciousness and gives you a better understanding of the world.

And you do a marvelous job.

Prachi Sharma (author) from Seattle, WA on April 29, 2020:

Yes, Eric, you are right. This subject is covered in all different religious textbooks using different terms. The ones which I use are linked to Hindu texts.

Hi Alex, thank you for your comment. You just gave the summary. You are very well aware of this subject. Unfortunately, it's not as easy as it sounds, not everyone can reach this stage.

Eric Dierker from Spring Valley, CA. U.S.A. on April 28, 2020:

This sure seems like what I have practiced but we used different words. I think this is not owned by one school of thought.

I surely do like your concepts and explanations.

Alex Mezulari from Los Angeles on April 28, 2020:

Interesting. I explain in my book that the goal of God-conciousness is to align body, mind, and spirit with God.

When aligned you are healed and no longer get involved in pettiness and anything considered harmful for us. You speak from a center and what you say is respected and heard. Once you do reach this level there is no turning back. You become the ideal of yourself and are merely in the world but not of it.
