Who are the Remnant or the Bride of Christ?

"Then shall the kingdom of heaven be likened unto ten virgins, which took their lamps and went forth to meet the bridegroom.

And five of them were wise, and five were foolish. They that were foolish took their lamps, and took no oil with them. But the wise took oil in their vessels with their lamps."

Matthew 25:1-4 KJV

Who are the Ten Virgins?

I believe in this parable, spoken by Christ, Ten Virgins refer to the "evangelicals" since they represent the kingdom of God here on earth. One must be an evangelical to be among the Ten Virgins of Matthew chapter 25. Who are the evangelicals?

The "evangelicals" are those professing Christianity who embrace the following doctrines. These are the basics of the evangelical faith:

- Salvation by grace through faith alone in Christ alone.

- Sufficiency of Christ's death on the cross for atonement of sins.

- Deity of Christ

- Incarnation of Christ

- Virgin birth of Christ

- Existence of One God in three persons (Father, Son, Holy Spirit).

- Infallibility and Inerrancy of the Scriptures

- Sufficiency of the Scriptures

- Lordship of Christ

- Existence of Heaven and Hell

- Second Coming of Christ

Based on 2020 statistics, a research by Sebastian Fath, the evangelicals number about 660 Million in the world. Today, they may number about 660+ Million. For every four professing Christians, there is one evangelical. They comprise one fourth of the Christendom. But to be taken up at Harpazo (Rapture of the Bride), to be part of the Bride of Christ, one must be more than an evangelical, one must be an anointed evangelical based on Matthew 25, the Parable of the Ten Virgins. Anointed evangelicals refer to those evangelicals who have been filled or baptized with the Holy Spirit, those who have been truly born in the Spirit, those who have the gift of the Holy Spirit. One must go beyond mere head or theological knowledge of the Christian faith. One must possess the Holy Spirit or experience the mighty infilling of the Holy Spirit which is represented by the oil that keeps the lamps burning. It is the Spirit's power, the one thing that will keep us ablaze for God and the one thing that will help us to become overcomers.

According to Mark Biltz of El Shaddai Ministry quoting Genesis 2:21, the rib that was taken from Adam's 24 ribs represent the remnant or the Bride of Christ which is taken out of the world. They make up 1/24th of the world's total population. As of today, there is about a total of 7.9 Billion population in the world. 1/24th of this figure equals 329+Million which is about half of the total numbers of the evangelicals today. What a great coincidence, it is consistent with the Parable of the Ten Virgins which reveals only half of the ten virgins go with the Bridegroom. Does it mean about 329+ Million evangelicals comprise the remnant of believers or the Bride of Christ?

To become rapture ready, to be part of the Bride of Christ, an evangelical must seek to be filled with the Holy Spirit or have the Holy Spirit. Onlye five wise virgins who have oil in their lamps go with the Bridegroom. The remaining five foolish virgins who did not have oil in their lamps are left behind. The oil represents the infilling of the Spirit or the gift of the Holy Spirit.

To experience the infilling of the Holy Spirit, a person must take these three major actions aside from embracing the basic doctrines of the evangelical faith .

- Forgive all those who offended you and seek forgiveness from all those you have offended.

It is written in Matthew 6:14-16;

"For if you forgive other people when they sin against you, your Heavenly Father will also forgive you. But if you do not forgive others their sins, your Father will not forgive your sins."

- Repentance, which implies making a 180 degree turn from darkness to light. It is about forsaking the sinful, prideful and self-centered life and the darkness of the world.

It is written in John 12:46;

"I have come into the world as a light, so that no one who believes in me should stay in darkness."

The gift of the Holy Spirit is a promise to all those who will repent as it is written in Acts 2:38;

Peter replied, "Repent and be baptized, everyone of you, in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins. And you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit.

- Accepting the Lordship of Christ in your life. Christ's Lordship must be a hundred percent which means accepting Christ's Lordship in all areas of your life.

It is written in 2 Corinthians 5:15;

"And he died for all, that those who live should no longer live for themselves but for him who died for them and was raised again."
