Addiction is considered a serious sickness. It brings troubles to any person, family, relationship, and society. It controls the mind and heart of anyone. It chained millions of lives around the world.
A Sick World
Addiction invades everywhere killing lives, destroying homes, and leaving this vulnerable world in chaos and a hopeless condition.
How many lives were lost from smoking, alcoholism, drug addiction, and terrorism? How many people suffered starvation from greed and corruption? How many homes have been broken from lust and immorality? How many nations waging wars because of pride and arrogance?
Crimes, death, hunger, pain, sensuality, and destruction rises because the world was addicted to sin. Many people armed themselves with human wisdom and knowledge to combat this problem but ended up in defeat. The virus of addiction spread rapidly not just from place to place but from generation to generation. Is there hope for the cure?
John 10:10 says The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy; I come that they may have life and have it to the full.
The devil's purpose was to steal whatever things God provided us. He wants to take away our peace, joy, hope, and our desire to worship God. He wants to kill man's life physically and spiritually. He wants to destroy man's relationship with God. He wants to demolish God's purpose in our lives. He uses every method to enslaved and imprisoned us to sin addiction. Destruction is the main plan of Satan and his demons.
God's plan is reconstruction. He sent Jesus to save us and gives us eternal life (John 3:16). He brings to light so that we will never walk in darkness (John 8:12). He gives us freedom from sin and becomes slaves to righteousness (Romans 6:18). He wants to destroy the devil’s work (1John 3:8).
The Medicine For The World's Healing
Jesus is the right medicine for the healing of the world's illness. He is the powerful antibiotic to kill all the bacteria of sin addiction. He can bring a lifeless world back to life. His death on the cross paid the penalty of sin and set mankind free from the slavery of sin addiction and brings the cure to any sin addict (Isaiah 53:5).
How Can We Have The Cure?
The Importance of Medicine for Healing
If we are sick we go to a drugs store to buy medicine and take it to get well. Intake of the right medicine plays a vital role in healing.
The Importance of Jesus for Healing
By his wounds, we are healed (Isaiah 53:5)
Jesus cures us through his wounds to set us free from sin addiction. To be healed we must take Jesus into our life. Whoever has the Son has life (1 John 5:12). Healing can be found only on the Healer.
How Can We Have Jesus In Our Life
We must accept Jesus as Savior and Lord of our life to avail the healing. We can have Jesus through faith and repentance.
The Importance Of Faith
We should believe that Jesus died for our sins and set us free from the power of sin and death. By receiving and believing Jesus we gained the right to become children of God (John 1:12). Genuine faith produces genuine repentance.
The Importance Of Repentance
Repentance involves a change of mind and heart towards sin that leads to a change of action. It simply means turning around from sin to God. No one can have the cure if he is still facing and enjoying sin. He must face God and turn his back from sin that he may be able to receive Jesus and become a God addict. If we will not repent we will all perish (Luke 13:3).
A Sin Addict Who Found And Take The Cure
One of the criminals on the cross during the crucifixion of Jesus exhibits genuine faith and repentance that enables him to be healed or be saved from sin addiction. Jesus gives him the strongest assurance, I tell you the truth today you will be with me in paradise (Luke 23:43).
Can we imagine how that criminal, a sin addict escape from the eternal death penalty? A guilty sinner becomes a saint. It is because he takes Jesus, the cure.
Genuine faith and repentance are essential things on having the cure
Take the cure it is free
Spreading The Cure
Go into the world and preach the good news to all creation. Whoever believes and is baptized will be saved, but whoever does not believe will be condemned (Mark16:15-16).
All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and the Holy Spirit and teaching them to obey everything that I commanded you and surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age (Matthew 28:18-20).
Christians Are The Carriers Of The Cure For The Healing Of The The World
Anyone who receives healing and salvation, anyone who became a child of God will also share the cure with any person. The Great Commission reminds us that we are authorized to inject the antibiotic of God's words and God's love to all creations to brings healing, reconciliation, and freedom from sin addiction. We must tell the world about Jesus, we must proclaim the Gospel and teach anyone to obey the will of God. We must have compassion for the lost souls and bring them back to the presence of God. We are the salt and light of the world (Matthew 5:13-14), so we must season and enlightened the world.
The Great Spreader Of The Cure
Why we are ashamed or afraid if we play a vital role in healing the world? We are holding the cure. One of the most famous sin addicts that became a God addict who made a great contribution to the world's healing was Paul. In his letter to the Romans, he said, I am not ashamed of the Gospel because it is the power of God for the salvation of everyone who believes (Romans 1:16).
The Task Of A God Addict
The task of a God addict or a disciple of God is to create another God addict or disciple of God. Spread the cure now and let God be glorified.
Are you sicked or already healed? Do you want to heal? Are you spreading the cure? May this question ignites our heart and may this message lead and spread the cure.
