Fire Ceremony on a Super Pink Moon

I love reading and writing. I came to writing late in life and discovered a world where I feel like a fish in the water.

Moss Pink.

Moss Pink.

The moon was a Super Pink Moon in the Northern Hemisphere on April 26th this year. The Shamans believe this super pink moon was an opportunity to awaken the guardians of a new age in humanity. With the moon full and dazzling in the sky, illumination takes place in people’s lives on a personal and global level.

The Northern Hemisphere will see two super-moons in 2021, the first occurring on April 26th and the second on May 26th. Super-moons look larger and brighter than the average full moon.

April’s full moon usually comes with the early springtime blooms of a wildflower native to eastern North America commonly called creeping phlox, moss phlox, or ‘moss pink’.[i]

Other Names for April Moon

Breaking Ice Moon (Algonquin) and Moon When the Streams Are Again Navigable (Dakota) reference the melting ice and increased mobility of the early spring season.

Budding Moon of Plants and Shrubs (Tlingit) and Moon of the Red Grass Appearing (Oglala) speak to the plant growth that will soon become continually active.

Other names refer to the reappearance of certain animals, including Moon When the Ducks Come Back (Lakota), Moon When the Geese Lay Eggs (Dakota), and Frog Moon (Cree).

Along the same vein, Sucker Moon (Anishinaabe) notes the time to harvest sucker fish that return to streams or lake shallows to spawn. According to legend, now is the time when this fish comes back from the spirit world to purify bodies of water and the creatures living in them.[ii]

Nature’s Cycles

Within the practice of shamanism, various ceremonies are performed to honor the cycles of nature and work with them, and to honor the cycles in our lives. These ceremonies provide insight and healing.

We are part of nature and need to connect and reconnect with the cycles and rhythms of nature.[iii]

Fire Ceremony

Twenty-thousand people joined the virtual fire ceremony led by Alberto Villoldo on April 26th.

According to Villoldo, “the shamans said the ancient ones, the masters, are coming out of the mountains, out of the great ice fields, down from the luminous realms to walk among us again because of the critical time we are living in. A time of hope and optimism and at the same time tough and grim times in countries that are experiencing tremendous suffering and pain.”

In normal times, evolution follows the Newtonian physics where change is slow, gradual, and incremental. But when there is a global crisis like the exceptional climate crisis the world is now facing, nature lets evolution happen in the current generation, not between generations. This is a quantum leap to become the new human that was announced by so many cultures.

The Great Priest called upon the spirit of his guiding animals. He opened a sacred space in a ceremony of welcome and invited people to let go of what needed to die and to summon what was stirring in them.

We each lit a candle as the way of the fire, of rapid transformation, is what is much needed on the planet today.

At this start of spring, we want to use all the resources available to us to make our dreams come true. The way to do it is by dreaming the entire world into being and creating a pattern in the field of energy to bring peace on earth.

“… dream the earth into being, then nature into being, then your valley, mountains, your village, your street, your family and then you. When we come at the end, everting is bestowed upon us. Hold on to that dream.”

At the beginning of spring when the moon is so close to earth, the energy of the feminine is available to guide people to dream big.

This is the time to shed whatever you do not need to carry with you, so you can return to your true self.

Everything that is not you will be taken from you. You are encouraged to reject suffering, sorrow, and anger. Crushed hopes and dreams, and lost love will be stripped from you so you can be re-born.

The challenge people are facing today is not a health challenge, but an evolutionary one. People are encouraged to have an amazingly good health and become disease-proof.

Destiny Trackers

The group held a one-minute meditation to close the fire ceremony thanking the masters for attending the transformation process. Participants were invited to become masters themselves, and to awaken the ancient mastery and wisdom that are within.

In this ceremony, destiny was summoned to be not only the result of a fate selected for you, as you prefer to be informed by destiny.

The shamans are masters of the art of future tracking, and selecting among oodles of possibilities that which is finest and highest for each individual. They choose a future health state reaching back and pulling someone into a future state of good health.

We all want to be destiny trackers to dream into being a world where future generations can be born into.
