Finding Real Beauty in Everything

Everything Has Beauty--Open Our Hearts--Let It In!!

A thing of beauty is a joy forever: its loveliness increases; it will never pass into nothingness. (John Keats)

If the path be beautiful, let us not ask where it leads. (Anatole France)

There is a kind of beauty in imperfection. (Conrad Hall)

“When you live in beauty and look from beauty?” (Jean Klein)

I feel this means when you look at everything from your heart you view everything as inherently beautiful.

Every living creature is unique and beautiful. If only beautiful to its own kind.

To appreciate the intrinsic beauty of everything around you. View it with the eyes of true love.

If we seek beauty, truly seek beauty in everything. Beauty is there to be found.

I have always seen the beauty in nature. The gentle, yet exquisite colours of a rainbow during a spring shower. The delicate petals of my favourite flower, the deep red English rose. The crackling of autumn leaves beneath my feet as I stroll through the woodlands. The list could fill the entire world with the beauty of God’s creation. You too, appreciate all that is beautiful, yes?

We do not waste time expecting perfection.

This is not nature’s style. Think for a moment, of a tree on a wind-blown cliff. Bending in reverence to the ocean. Hardly perfect? Beautiful, yes! Oh, yes!

This tree, like everything else in nature, is genuinely beautiful and does not need perfection. The beauty of such natural things as this wind-blown tree truly makes you come alive. It's these simple pleasures that make life worth living.

I feel in the hustle and bustle of everyday life. The beauty of nature is the soothing balm needed by all.

You, when you start each day.

Do you hear the birds welcoming you? Is there any other beauty around you that you wish to remember and appreciate? Your children perhaps? Yes, indeed each one is unique and beautiful in their own special way. Do you take some time each morning to remind yourself of all the beauty around you?

As your kettle is boiling for your morning coffee, do you admire the trees and flowers smiling hullo from your garden? Does your heart sing along with birds welcoming a brand new day? Those are some of the small and simple treasures that start your day with joy and praise.

Beauty in things exists in the mind which contemplates them. (David Hume)

Even in small doses, nature is a potent elixir…merely looking at pictures of nature. (

Do you stop and appreciate the beauty in nature that surrounds you?

Where you live has a great deal to do with your ability to spend time in nature. If you live in an urban area, in a high-rise apartment complex you have far less chance than me. I am fortunate. I have my own gardens. It is just a short stroll to a couple of lovely local parks with the magnificent Mehi River meandering through.

Yet, even in urban areas. There are chances to spend time admiring, appreciating and praising the beauty innate in nature.

My son lives in a suburb of Sydney. Travels for well over an hour to work in the inner city. No time to “smell the roses” for him on workdays. Weekends are spent catching up on marriage commitments. He doesn’t seem to find time on weekends either. He is stressed out most of the time.

He and his wife live in a lovely one-bedroom apartment complex with well-manicured gardens. These I fear, he never visits.

He probably misses a visit from a friendly and exquisite butterfly. The feeling of a gentle breeze on his cheeks. The sun didn't shine in his wife’s eyes. He is sadly missing the signs from God the Father that nature is waiting for him.

Nature is beautiful. Nature is the calming balm we all need to ease our stressful days.

Everything has beauty, but not everyone sees it. Confucius

Beauty awakens the soul to act. (Dante Alighieri)

There are millions of people living and working in Sydney. When I do have a chance to visit my son. Everyone seems to be in such a hurry. Heads down. Chasing time. Chasing what? If only they would slow down just for a moment. Look around and wonder!

Even on a busy Sydney street, there may be trees growing. Beautiful trees, not perfect. Each one is unique and to be admired. Reaching their branches to heaven, as if in prayer. Some may have the miracle of new life in bird’s nests. Some may have the miracle of new blossoms in the spring. Some may have the miracle of colourful falling leaves in the autumn. All give shade and cool on a hot summer’s day in Sydney town.

Each and every tree is beautiful. People, please slow down. Look Around! Admire the beauty, it will make you feel so much better!

If people who are hurrying home from work slow down and pay attention to nature. They just may hear birds singing at the close of another glorious day. Such harmony in birdsong. No human choir can sing such magical chords. The gentle rain may fall on freshly mowed grass. Filling the air with sweet aromas. Even the most expensive French perfumes cannot imitate their scents.

If only these busy people would remember the beauty of each moment they are lucky enough to spend in the presence of nature. They would shout their appreciation or at least silently whisper a prayer. Their praise and respect for nature would float their stress and worries away. If only for a short few moments. This is the miraculous power of nature. All it needs is for us to pay attention.

So when you find yourself walking briskly home from…Head down concentrating on… Please take a leisurely look around.

Are you fortunate like me and live in a rural area? You have a garden of your own to tender, love and be thankful for, perhaps?

On your way to your front door.

Just a short pause. Touch the grass. Each blade is a miracle from God the Creator. Each blade is a wonder. Now appreciate a little more what is spectacular in your garden. What is the other miracle that is happening here? Nature is now caring for you. Nature is making you feel good, yes?

Beauty is one of the rare things which does not lead to doubt of God. (Jean Anouilh)

Look deep into nature, and then you will understand everything better. (Albert Einstein)

Finding the real beauty in everything means you are looking with the eyes of true love. If you seek beauty in nature you will find it and it will grant you peace.

Even if you live in a very busy urban street there is a possibility of nature to be found, enjoyed and acknowledged. Just simply feel a blade of grass in your hand and you witness the miracle of life.

From the birds welcoming each day to the gentle breeze stroking your cheek on a hot summer’s day. Nature soothes and refreshes.
