Over three decades ago I become interested in the Bible, having drank from the heavenly cup once, I have not been tired to drink more

The birth of Jesus Christ as recorded in the Bible has many lessons and benefits. Some of the lessons and benefits that we can learn from his birth continue in this article.

25) Going Against One's Earlier Utterances

In keeping a glorious child one may go against what one has initially said to keep the glorious child.

This essentially was what happened to the shepherds who went to the king's palace to tell the King about what they had seen. The King instructed them that they should return to him with the report of where the child is so that he would also go and pay homage to the child.

The wise men have reached resolutions with the King that they shall return to his palace to brief him of their findings.

But when they discovered where the child was being laid and they have been instructed by The Angels not to return to the King they did not do so.

"Then Herod, when he saw that he was mocked of the wise men, was exceeding wroth, and sent forth, and slew all the children that were in Bethlehem, and in all the coasts thereof, from two years old and under, according to the time which he had diligently enquired of the wise men." (Matt. 2:16)

The King, having waited for their appearance but on noticing that they did not return to him, decided to take other drastic measures of reaching the child, this time the measure is to silence the child for ever.

In protecting ourselves, our wards and anyone that we know has a glorious future we may go against what we have initially said like those wise men have done.

26) Negative Effects of Emerging Star

From the documentations of what happened during the birth of Jesus Christ, we shall discover that the emergence of new star could have negative consequences on other stars. The negative effect is proportional to the degree of the new star born. That is, if the new star is a big star that will be renowned all over the world there will be a great destruction that covers the entire earth. If the star will be known within its locality the destruction will be limited to the locality it will cover.

This is saying that great people or great stars attract great blessings and or destructions while those with medium greatness will attract medium unlimited destruction.

"In Rama was there a voice heard, lamentation, and weeping, and great mourning, Rachel weeping for her children, and would not be comforted, because they are not." (Matt. 2:18)

Because Jesus Christ was given birth to, to save the entire world he has a star that covers the whole earth therefore the attack of the King on children was wide and covered nooks and crannies of the domain under him.

27) Application of Wisdom

God wants us to apply wisdom to what he has discussed with us; it is not everything that shall spell out for us or instruct us in a stepwise manner of how to go about doing things he has asked us to do.

"But when he heard that Archelaus did reign in Judeea in the room of his father Herod, he was afraid to go thither: notwithstanding, being warned of God in a dream, he turned aside into the parts of Galilee:" (Matt. 2:22)

Joseph the husband of Mary and the father of Jesus applied Wisdom here after he had received words that King Herod who wanted to kill Jesus is dead he applied wisdom by going to another city instead of returning to Jerusalem.

In whatever we are doing God wants us to apply Wisdom; he may not spell everything out to us so the onus is on us to put our brain to use and do what we preserve our life and the lives of those near us.

28) Enemies Hand Over to Enemies

There are instances where enemies would hand over to another enemy this may be true in the case of Herod and the new king who assumes his position. Maybe this is why God had to warn Joseph in the dream about the step he wants to take in returning to the land of Israel with Jesus the Son.

"But when he heard that Archelaus did reign in Judeea in the room of his father Herod, he was afraid to go thither: notwithstanding, being warned of God in a dream, he turned aside into the parts of Galilee:" (Matt. 2:22)

God only warned him, he after the warning used his own intellect to know where to move to and he moved to part of Galilee to settle there.

29) Possessing God's Power

As Believers in the Lord Jesus Christ we know that situations like this we shall always face on Earth as the apostle Paul said we wrestle not against blood and flesh, we fight not against physical things but we fight against spiritual things, spiritual powers, dark forces in the heavenly Realms.

To combat with powers and forces like this we are therefore enjoined to have within us the power of the living God that was why Jesus said to the disciples that they should wait in Jerusalem until they are clothed with God's power.

"And, behold, I send the promise of my Father upon you: but tarry ye in the city of Jerusalem, until ye be endued with power from on high." (Lk. 24:49)

By the spirit of God and instructions of the Holy Spirit through the angels sent to Joseph he was able to lead his family aright when challenges come facing them.

We equally will scale through such situations by the help of the Holy Spirit if we can totally become his.
