Father Abraham - I Will Bless Those Who Bless You

Paul Told Timothy "Know the Word"
You Have Known The Sacred Writings
I am amazed at the ignorance of people to the contents of the Bible and what it really says. The same is true for those calling themselves real Christians and what that term actually implies. A lot of young people in record numbers are turned away from mainline churches partly because of what was or was not practiced in their own homes.
Paul told Timothy, "And that from childhood, you have known the sacred writings which can give you the wisdom that leads to salvation through faith which is in Christ Jesus. All Scripture is inspired by God and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, for training in righteousness; so that the man of God may be adequate, equipped for every good work." (2 Timothy 3.15-17)
What every person, and I am part of everyone, does not realize is that God holds them personally responsible for their own lives and their individual person sin. What they should know is God Father and His Word, Jesus Christ, and turn their lives over to Him. The biggest problem we face today is this generation's loss of a Biblically-based value system or worldview.
Genesis 12.3 Bless Those That Bless You
Father Abraham - I Will Utterly Destroy Those Who Curse You
In Genesis 12.3, we read a very famous verse: "And I will bless those who bless you, And the one who curses you I will curse." Things seem to be clear, but a crucial nuance is lost in translation.
God promises Abraham that, "everyone who curses him" מְקַלֶּלְךָ (mekalelcha) will in turn "be cursed" אָאֹר (aor). The strength of this promise, however, is lost in translation. The first word for "curses" – מְקַלֶּלְךָ (mekalelcha) comes from a root that literally means "to make light of something heavy."
The second word for "curse," אָאֹר (aor), actually comes from a completely different root that means something like "to utterly destroy." Taking these insights from Hebrew into reflection, the translation could be presented as follows:
"I will bless those who bless you, but the one who disrespects you, I will utterly destroy." (Genesis 12.3)
Abraham Was A Man of Pray
Everyone Who Curses You I Will Destroy
That is a promise from God that has not changed since Yahweh made the universe. It is quite direct, to say the least. "Utterly destroy" does not bring people into the pews of American Churches, but everyone is responsible for compliance with that verse. I have seen many lives destroyed in my seventy-plus years.
We live in a time of flux of people moving in and out of Christianity. Jesus Christ speaking through the Apostle Paul, said it would be this way. The above verse is part of the Theocratic Covenants God made with man. This covenant is unconditional and dependent entirely on God to perform.
Let's take a closer look at what promises God made:
- · I will make you a great nation.
- · I will bless you coming in and going out.
- · I will make your name great. (Father Abraham)
- · You will be a blessing to the world.
- · I will bless those who bless you.
- · I will curse those who curse you.
- All the families of the earth will be blessed

Can Man Curb Evil in the World?
God has upheld His end of the bargain. Israel is in the land, and they have made it beautiful. They are surrounded by their enemies on all sides. Israel being the smallest country in the Middle East, it is easy to see why they are zealous to hold on to what they have.
Man's efforts to curb or defeat evil in the world has failed quite miserably. Therefore, we will see God's catastrophic intervention into the affairs of the world more and more often, I suspect. I am not talking just about COVID-19. Instead, I am speaking of God's imminent intervention into the earth's history.
God may be preventing disasters from happening, or He may be causing other catastrophic natural disasters to occur. Biblical prophecy overlaps the issues and events of this troubling day. Something stupendous is about to happen. Instead, pent-up energy pervades the atmosphere of these perilous times.

My Final Thoughts on This One
My Final Thoughts on This One
I have to tell you it was disturbing for me even to write the statistics on American Youth. The results were dismal, to say the least. I hope you learned something from the post and can take it away for your own life. Everyone who writes at Hub Pages needs the feedback. I get very little.
My goal in writing more is to teach one to get into the Bible and start digging out the gold therein. Bible study, prayer, and teaching others as you learn can be very fulfilling. Thank you, and May God be with you, Gary
