False Teacher and False Prophets

Thomas has travelled the world and seen and met with many people of various backgrounds. His motto is, "Travel is the best teacher".

The planet is a beautiful creation

We live on a beautiful planet, a planet filled with so much diversity, everything from the tallest mountains to the smallest forms of life. We have everything from massive oceans to the driest deserts.

Even within our own race, the human race we have much diversity, different skin colors and tones, different hair color and we humans also come in many different sizes and shapes.

On my travels around this planet I have seen so much. Yes indeed, there is much beauty.

God created us all and he created everything on this planet and out in space, all the beauty around us comes from Him.

(Colossians 1:16 For by him were all things created, that are in heaven, and that are in earth, visible and invisible, whether they be thrones, or dominions, or principalities, or powers: all things were created by him, and for him)

You may be asking, "Whag does all this have to do with false prophets and false teachers?".

Well, with all God's beautiful creation all around us, there is also evil.

There is much hate and deceit

The evil, the deciet and hatred does not come from God, that comes from satan.

As much as we are to focus on Christ and live as He did, we must also be aware of the schemes of the enemy.

(James 4:7 Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you.

Ephesians 6:11 Put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil.)

Be aware of his plans, actions, deceptions. Satan will try to deceive you by using various tactics, some of his tactics are to use false teachers and prophets. They will be cloaked in what looks like kindness, truth, righteousness, but it will be a mere cloak of deception.

When we read the following verses we can read about those who oppose Jesus and his teaching, there are people who think they know Him, yet they don't. Jesus said that those who truly know Him, they are His disciples, but those who don't know Him and His teachings and who don't follow Him, they are children of the devil,

(John 8:44 You are of your father the devil, and your will is to do your father's desires. He was a murderer from the beginning, and has nothing to do with the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he lies, he speaks out of his own character, for he is a liar and the father of lies.)

In todays world satan will use the internet, back in the 1990s and earlier he used the tv and tv evangelists--the false ones.

Now he uses the internet which is filled with a lot of deception, false teachers and false prophets and even a lot of distractions and distracting tactics.

I have read comments and articles online by people who claim to be Christian and they are so focused on such things as the flat earth theory that they don't focus on Jesus and they put down Christians who believe in a spherical earth, they even laugh at them and say they are going to hell for not believing in a flat earth. I was unfriended and blocked by a couple who I've known for many years because I didn't believe in flat earth and some other UnGodly teachings they were spreading and when I came back at them with scriptures, that is when I was called some very hateful words and I was blocked, but that is ok, I will not compromise my belief in Jesus and in the Word of God.

That behavior is not Christ-like. They are like false teachers. The internet is full of such people.

With the covid19 pandemic it has gotten worse. There are Chistians who are telling others that the vaccine is the mark of the beast and saying that anyone who takes it is going to hell. However, this claim is also false. If they would read Revelation 13:16-18 it clearly states that the mark will be placed on either the right hand or the forehead. The vaccine however goes into either the right or left upper arm. Again we have an instance of false teaching.

Be aware of false teachers

We must always be aware of teachings that go against the Word of God and not just teachings, but also behavior.

If we hear or see behavior that goes against what the Bible says then we must question the person. Not be judgemental, but hold their words and actions up to the Word of God to see what is truth.

If a person is saying you are going to hell and they mock you or laugh at you as they say it, are they really a Christian? Ought they not be heartbroken at the thought of someone going to hell?

Jesus is.

Are they actually trying to get you to follow them and their teachings through fear, manipulation and mockery instead of bringing you to the truth and to Christ in a humble loving manner?

Other false teachers and prophets are those who always ask for money. (It is ok to take up tithes and offerings in Church for the ministry, but the way the false preachers do it and the reason behind it is wrong) I have seen some so called evangelists who say that if we give a certain amount of money to their ministry and believe God will give back ten-fold, then He will do so and if it doesnt happen then it is our fault, our lack of faith and these same evangelists have mansions, airplanes, millions of dollars in the bank while their followers live paycheque to paycheque and some don't even do that..

I can give many more personal experiences and talk about many people I have personally known who have taught contradictory to the Word of God, but i think you understand what I am saying.

Another tactic from the enemy

One other thing I should mention is that there may be small differences in what we believe, small differences between Christians. These small differences are usually not matters of salvation. Such as the example I gave earlier about the flat earth theory. Whether the earth is a sphere or is flat really doesn't matter. It is not a matter of salvation. I tell people this, " I don't care if the earth is a sphere or flat, as long as I don't fall off, that is all that matters", and that is true isn't it?.

There are several small, insignificant things people bicker about, and they let the small things cause division, and that is sad. That is usually brought on by the enemy who loves for the Church to be divided, sometimes it is our ego and pride that is at fault. I say, "Let it go, it isn't worth causing division".

(Romans 16:17-18 I appeal to you, brothers, to watch out for those who cause divisions and create obstacles contrary to the doctrine that you have been taught; avoid them. For such persons do not serve our Lord Christ, but their own appetites, and by smooth talk and flattery they deceive the hearts of the naive.)

When someone brings a false teaching or comes to you in a manner that goes against Jesus' teachings then try to bring light to it by using the Bible. If they accept it, that is good, If they don't then brush the dust off your feet and move on.

Be aware of false teachers and false prophets, if what they are saying and if their behavior goes against the teaching of God, they are false teachers or false prophets.
