Tarot Card Readings Support Dream Star Symbolism
The interpretations of dreaming about stars, or the symbolism of a star in your dreams almost always have positive meanings, but what they mean to you, in your dreams, is dependent on other factors that may be going on in your life.
But unlike many other dream symbols - the star almost always relates to guidance to future events or decisions.
Tarot card star symbol meanings agree with dream star meanings in both mystical and psychological interpretations.
The meanings of dreams has been debated for ages, by both skeptics and believers, but the fact that there are so many similar dream situations, ie. being naked in a clothed environment, screaming - but making no sound, or running and getting nowhere, etc., that are common dream themes among uncommon dreamers is just one of the reasons that many people do believe dreams mean something.
The question, "I saw a star in my dream, what does it mean?" has some very specific answers from dream interpreters, and their readings are reinforced by meanings of the Tarot card star symbol.
The Tarot Star Echoes The Dream Star
Dreaming about stars, or even a star, is a good thing. Star symbols have positive meanings, and different color stars relate to different life decisions.
The mystical art of Tarot card readings reaffirms what dream interpreters have been saying for ages.
An excerpt from the Tarot story of The Fool and the Tower illustrates the basic interpretation of star symbolism...
"Having quenched his thirst and sated his hunger, the Fool lays back to gaze up at the stars. "They're so beautiful," he said, "but so distant."
"Like possible futures," agrees the girl. "Cool and distant. Yet if you keep one in sight, it can guide you to your destination no matter how far away it is." Even as she says this, she began to fade away, like dew, vanishing. All that remains is a gleam that was at the center of her forehead. This rises up and up, until it settles in the night sky as a shining star. "Follow your star," the woman's voice seems to sing from that light, "and have hope."
The Fool takes in a breath and rises. It is a dark night, a desolate land. But for the first time, he has a guiding light to show him the way. Distant as it is, it restores his faith"
Tarot has other "Star" stories, and the Star cards, like all tarot cards, are read in combination with others in the deck.
As with the tarot cards, dreams must be interpreted with other facets of the dream, and the dreamer's current life situation.
Tarot Cards, Readings, And The Star Symbol
Psychological interpreters tell us that dreaming about a star can represent a higher state of consciousness, a state you are striving for -- whether in seeking guidance for a decision, or a goal you are seeking.
They say a star can also represent your desire for material goods, worldly success, or it can even symbolize forces of destiny that you feel may be controlling your life. In any event, as in Tarot, the star indicates a future event or accomplishment - not an immediate one.
These are also significantly related to the mystical interpretations of the star symbolism in Tarot. But note that even though in Tarot, the star represents hope, healing and harmony, it is not an immediate action symbolism. It represents a future action or guidance, a symbol of success to come.
Even though the Tarot Star reflects dream star meanings, it is necessary to look at the "whole picture" to reach an understanding of the meaning to you.
In Tarot, the star represents renewed hope, inspiration and discovery. Calm and new opportunity, a path to solve a mystery, discover secrets, or gain ideas in meditation. Basically the star indicates a guide to a path of success, which may be in the form of a finding a mentor. Or, it could represent a significant decision that chooses the path you will take.
It represents that courage, fulfillment, and inspiration are in your life. That you have endured life's challenges, (or a particular recent one), and the star is saying to you that, over the long-term, you should have faith and trust in the Universe.
A better future is waiting for you, but in order to reach it you must trust that it is indeed possible.
More specifically, in Tarot, reading the star card with Aquarius as its ruling sign, symbolizes the possibility of unexpected aid or assistance. Reinforcing the belief of success or recovery.
Dream interpreters also say that the star symbolizes that you do have that faith and courage, it is a symbol that you do have the belief of success, or that you have chosen the path of success.
For many dreamers the concurrence of the meaning of the star symbol in both Tarot, and accepted dream interpretations, is a reassuring omen that having stars prominent in a dream are signs of success to come.
The Star - Tarot Card Meaning
What The Star Means in Your Dream
In Tarot, the Star card interpretation is both influenced by other cards, and influences the interpretation of other cards as well.
And the star in your dream may also have many specific interpretations, influenced by your current life situation, such as; are these calm or turbulent times for you, are you in a passive phase, or are you being aggressive in your actions.
Even your personal feelings about stars and colors influence the interpretation of your dreams. But generally speaking, they are a good sign. Having them prominent in a dream indicates a positive mental outlook -- confidence in your future.
They can also reference an important decision that is being guided by what the dreamer views as benevolent and wise forces. You may have a good friend or mentor that has helped you, or you may be considering a decision that you feel is guided by fate. An optimistic and positive outcome is anticipated.
Look inward to decide if any of these things recently occurred in your life, or if you are expecting them to.
But above all, if you see a star in your dreams -- have faith. Faith that it is a good sign that good things are in store for your future. But be aware it is only a sign and omen of the possible to come. It is not a guarantee. If you tire or fail to persevere, or lose faith; then the star's symbolism will be lost.
The number and color of stars is also important to the star symbolism and interpretation in your dreams. You can find out more about dream star color symbols here.

I have found mostly that the Star means guidance. Like the Dog Star, Sirius.

I have always found tarot cards to be fascinating. After reading this, I understand the meaning of that card just a little bit more and I want to go grab my deck and play with them as I haven't pulled them out in a very long time. Great job... interesting hub!

The tarot is fascinating, but it all depends on your willingness to do your part, too.
