Chronological Timeline of the Events in Tribulation

The 4 horsemen Seal Trends.

The 4 horsemen Seal Trends.

This article is intended as an addendum to my END OF DAYS article. Of course there is a lot more than what is covered here but this article should give you some concern for yourself, your family and friends.

The events in the coming Tribulation are not an easy subject to unravel and I have tried my best to explain it in the simplest way that is understandable by most who will read this article and I would suggest you read it with a Bible close by to cross check what I've said as quite often, I've only added the scripture for help and guidance in some instances without any explanatory text.

The following scripture from Matthew 24: 3 – 22, 29 – 31 are important verses regarding Tribulation that must not be dismissed and should be read by all.

And as He sat upon the mount of Olives, the disciples came unto Him privately saying, Tell us, when shall these things be? And what shall be the sign of thy coming, and of the end of the world? And Jesus answered and said unto them, Take heed that no man deceive you. For many shall come in my name, saying, I am Christ; and shall deceive many. And ye shall hear of wars and rumours of wars: see that ye be not troubled: for all these things must come to pass, but the end is not yet. For nation shall rise against nation and kingdom against kingdom: and there shall be famines, and pestilences, and earthquakes, in divers places. (divers means many) All these are the beginning of sorrows. Then shall they deliver you up to be afflicted, and shall kill you: and ye shall be hated of all nations for my name’s sake. And then shall many be offended, and shall betray one another, and shall hate one another. And many false prophets shall rise and deceive many. And because iniquity (sin) shall abound, the love of many shall wax cold. But he that shall endure unto the end, the same shall be saved. And this gospel of the kingdom shall be preached in all the world for a witness unto all nations; and then shall the end come. When ye therefore shall see the abomination of desolation, (a man made statue, or figure having the ability to speak) spoken of by Daniel the prophet, stand in the holy place, (whoso readeth, let him understand:) Then let them which be in Judea flee into the mountains: Let him which is on the housetop not come down to take anything out of his house: Neither let him which is in the field return back to take his clothes. And woe unto them that are with child, and to them that give suck in those days! But pray ye that your flight be not in the winter, neither on the Sabbath day: For then shall be great tribulation, such as was not since the beginning of the world to this time, no, nor ever shall be. And except those days should be shortened, there should no flesh be saved: but for the elect’s sake those days shall be shortened. Then if any man shall say unto you, Lo, here is Christ, or there; believe it not. For there shall arise false Christs, and false prophets, and shall shew great signs and wonders; insomuch that, if it were possible, they shall deceive the very elect. Immediately after the tribulation of those days shall the sun be darkened, and the moon shall not give her light, and the stars shall fall from heaven, and the powers of the heavens shall be shaken: And then shall appear the sign of the Son of man in heaven: and then shall all the tribes of the earth mourn, and they shall see the Son of man coming in the clouds with power and great glory. And He shall send His angels with a great sound of a trumpet, and they shall gather together His elect from the four winds, from one end of heaven to the other.

Anyone with a reasonable knowledge of scripture, or even those with no knowledge of scripture cannot read this and not conclude that Jesus will return at the END, that is after the Tribulation, as the above verses that I've emphasised clearly tells us and it will be the most terrible time on earth for both believers and unbelievers alike. Remember that it was Jesus who said the words above, yet there are those who will find other verses and twist them to suit their own ideas. Both groups of people will be affected in different ways but there is a glorious ending for those who believe - not so for those who don't. Daniel 9: 27 tells us the Tribulation will last for one week, which is prophetic time, or 7 literal years and will be divided into 2 consecutive periods of 3.5 years each. The following is only a brief outline, of which is soon to begin.

Very early in the first half of the Tribulation, the two witnesses, Moses and Elijah - Revelation 11: 3 - 10, are resuscitated to oversee the building of the 3rd temple in Jerusalem and to prophesy for 1260 days, or 3.5 years. When these days come, very, very shortly, today's technology will enable all in the world to see them. The power that is given to them will be a thorn in the anti-Christs side and verse 7 tells us what will eventually happen to them. They are to direct the 144,000 Jewish men living throughout the world who return back to God - and they are to preach the gospel to all parts of the world. They go 2 x 2, each with a companion into the world as in Luke 10: 1 and their ministry will begin shortly after the start of Tribulation and will end in the start of the second half in martyrdom.

There are many religions in the world that adhere to the scripture in Luke 10: 1 but they are NOT the ones who will be carrying out this directive at that time - so if you come across a 2 x 2 ministry today, steer well clear of them. The 144,000 are only selected from the 12 tribes of Israel. Revelation 7: 4. The verses from 5 - 8 tell us who they are. And I should point out that these types of ministries are not the only ones to be wary of.

And thinking further about the 144,000 who will carry the gospel throughout the world at this time, anyone with a little understanding will surely be wondering, why is it necessary for the 144,000 to do that when we already have thousands of churches throughout the world, in which pastors, being responsible for their flock, should be well prepared to teach the Tribulation account. This scripture is obviously casting doubts over them, so what does it tell you about the church systems that are all man made today?

And to dispel a common misconception - there are many who mistakenly believe that there are only 144,000 going to heaven, consequently thinking, how, or will I be among them? Brought about mainly by ignorance of this scripture. Well, I've already explained that above and for those who simply don't know, scripture tells us in Revelation 7: 9 and in some other places: After this I beheld, and, lo, a great multitude, which no man could number, of all nations, and kindreds, and people, and tongues, [languages] stood before the throne, and before the Lamb, clothed in white robes, and palms in their hands.

A great multitude, which no man could number is much larger than 144,000.

The anti-Christ, has not yet risen, nor is yet indwelled by Satan but is I believe, alive right now and will rise to power by duplicity and seductive, deceitful methods. This man is the prince of the covenant and after he brokers the peace treaty with Israel, which is Day One of the first half of Tribulation, he returns to his own country (the USA, which is Mystery Babylon - Revelation 17 & 18.) and quickly rises to power there in the beginning of the first half of Tribulation but he will come in a manner far outside of the normal political methods, Daniel 11: 23 - 45. And then to further his deceit and winning converts, he sets about a campaign against ‘the king of the south’ (IS) and he is victorious, drawing many into his web of deceit. He will be seen as a saviour to the world’s problems - and those who are watching for it will know who he is when he rises. This is not at all the way he will appear to the world and to those looking for a religious solution, he will seem to be the true Messiah. He is more than likely a Jew, possibly born in the year 2000, not necessarily living in Israel but with extensive knowledge of the Jewish custom and is significant that Jesus was born a little over 2000 years ago and began His ministry at age 30, which only lasted 3.5 years and then He was killed. It would stand to reason that by mimicking God and Jesus, the devil's son being the anti-Christ would be a similar age to Jesus when he rises to absolute power - in the beginning of the second half of Tribulation, then being indwelled by Satan when he enters the 3rd Temple. (Knowing the 2nd half lasts for 3.5 years, and Jesus was killed 3.5 years into His ministry, it's possible that God is giving Satan the same amount of time - 3.5 years.) This would make the anti-Christ about 29 - 30 years old when that happens. Remember, he has already attained power at the beginning of the first half of Tribulation by seductive means. In mimicking God, Satan will create his own religion by way of the false prophet who will coerce ALL religions into one and many will follow it. There are many who know this present Pope has said in a video in 2015, on a visit to the US, that ALL religions should combine into one. And we all should think about what that means, a one-world-religion. He has also argued for a single system of global governance, a one-world-government, which in both instances is about regaining the power they once had. And I apologise to all in that religion but it's best that you know it so that you might know what the Catholic religion really is.

Notice above that the Pope used the words, combine into one and a single system of governance - in both instances, he skirted around the words in scripture to throw people off because he knows few read scripture and he knew scripture would incriminate him. He is laying the ground work now but when the time comes for it to finally happen, that won't bother him.

At risk of offending many, I'll be blunt, I wonder how many Catholics have ever read the doctrine of the Catholic church. The doctrine of the Catholic church blatantly states a lie. This is what it says: There is no salvation outside the Catholic church, which is designed to cause fear and should give anyone reason to further think on. And there are others who say it too.

A little history for you. During the Dark Ages, (from 450 AD to 1000 AD) the Catholic Church ruled the world until 1534 and slaughtered thousands, if not millions of Christians and is never mentioned today. The World has almost completely forgotten that so many were burned at the stake, or thrown to the lions, or were tortured to death in the most unimaginable ways by the Papacy simply for wanting to worship God according to the Bible. In those days the main reason for that was the catholic church ruled the world with an iron fist and were intertwined with state until the 10th century. The majority of the populations in the the world were illiterate, very few could read or write, let alone even owning a Bible as they were hand written and unaffordable. The Bible was even banned during this time under the pain of death. The catholic church were of the opinion that the general populace couldn't understand it, most being peasants and they were fearful of the Bible becoming public knowledge. In other words, they were subverting the truth and didn't want the truth widely known as their power would be diminished. The apostate Church of Rome still claims it has the right to punish those who differ in faith from the Pope, with the confiscation of their goods, or by penalty of death.

When Jesus was here He spoke about the true way He would establish during His sermon on the mount - which He created through His death on the cross, and so many are blindly unaware of it. Matthew 7: 13 & 14 tells us what Jesus said and it's little understood but it's still here today. More about that later.

Satan's objective is to eradicate all forms of the Christian faith by whatever means.

In 2nd Thessalonians 2: 2 - 12, Paul gives us an insight into the things that will happen prior to and in the beginning of Tribulation, which is edifying to read and in the first few verses he tells us of the start of the 'falling away' that culminates exponentially in the 2nd half. Also prior to the 1st half the Holy Spirit is taken out of the way, which opens the path for the Tribulation to begin. That is not to say that he will leave us comfortless, he will always be in us to help and guide us - he is only taken out of Satan's way, not out of ours. The 'son of perdition' will be revealed just prior to Tribulation beginning - some who understand will recognise him as the anti-Christ when he rises to political power, most won't realise it until he takes his seat in the rebuilt temple in the second half, proclaiming himself as God, being indwelt by Satan at that time. It is now clear just by observing world events, (meaning every calamity that you can think of) that are happening beyond our control and is going to get worse, a lot worse yet before these events come to be.

When the covenant is signed in Israel, brokered by the anti-Christ, Daniel 9: 27 - and all will know about that because that event will be seen on TV, the prophetic clock is restarted to count down the 7 years of Tribulation, which was stopped after the death of Jesus. This period of time between 'stopping and restarting the clock' is also known as the church age. It is clear from the rapidly escalating troubles in the world on an exponential scale that many things are yet to happen in such a short time with more to follow below. For so many, these things will come as a shock.

So to begin the events of the 7 year Tribulation timeline, there are 21 judgments over the whole period beginning with the 7 seals, which are an overview of the trends of the entire period and are actual events but are not literally characterised as a set timeline. The seal judgments are followed by the trumpet judgments, then the bowl judgments and some judgments are overlapping in all.

None of the following can happen until the restrainer (the Holy Spirit) is taken out of the way opening the path for Tribulation to begin. 2nd Thessalonians 2: 6, 7. Even now the whole world is in turmoil but it will seem like a picnic when that happens.

Every one of these 21 judgments will be on a scale not yet even imaginable and as each one progresses, no-one will be in any doubt as to what is happening. Some who are just lukewarm now will be shaken out of apathy and my sincere hope is that many of the unbelievers will also have a change of heart and come to Jesus while His hand is still outstretched in love before it's too late. It's certainly possible that many who are now unbelievers, may have a change of heart and repent but I don't think it will equal the number of believers who fall away in the second half.

The events in the 1st half are directed at unbelievers by God in the hope they will change but believers will be indirectly affected also. It is in the 2nd half when Satan indwells the anti-Christ, and focuses on believers, when we will suffer the most. All unbelievers need to know and remember what their fate is when Jesus returns at the END of Tribulation; that is, being cast into the 'lake of fire' along with the anti-Christ and the false prophet. But it doesn't have to be that way. My hope is they will have a change of heart before then.

The first 21 months of the Tribulation is half of the first half (each half is 42 months) and is the 'beginnings of birth pangs' and is taken up with the rise and conquest by the anti-Christ in Mystery Babylon (USA) and Rome, which leads to the two campaigns against the 'king of the south.' It is followed by the Great Tribulation after the first 42 months or 3.5 years, which culminates in Christ’s return and His judgments at the END of Tribulation - 7 years after it begins, then His 1000 year reign begins on earth in the millennium.

The first half of Tribulation has four major trends (seals) spoken of in Revelation 6. And we can see by these 4 of 21 judgments, it won't be an easy time. The seals give a preview of the nature of the Tribulation from the outside before one can look in and see the details.

1st seal: The first horse is a white horse and its rider represents the anti-Christ, masquerading as Jesus and his rise to power, which coincides with the signing of the 7 year peace treaty with Israel that will become the Tribulation and the warfare that follows. The church visible is polluted.

2nd seal: The second horse is a red horse and its rider represents civil discord – rampant lawlessness and political destabilisation, which is seriously just beginning and will increase worldwide.

3rd seal: The third horse is a black horse and its rider represents economic dislocation and famine, plagues that affect humans and plants causing starvation.

4th seal: The fourth horse is a pale green horse and its rider represents accelerated mortality and widespread plague and death and has power over the fourth part of the earth and to kill with the sword and with the beasts of the earth.

The end of the 4th seal is the end of the 1st half with 3 more to follow.

The 5th seal marks the beginning of the second half of the Tribulation, with the persecution and death of the martyrs beginning with the 144,000, followed by the martyrdom of many of the saints. This trend also lasts for the entirety of the second half. Revelation 6: 9 - 11.

6th seal, which are Signs – a great earthquake, the sun becomes black, the moon as blood, stars fall from heaven, mountains and islands move out of place, and men hide themselves in fear. Revelation 6: 12 - 17.

The 7th seal is very important, Revelation 8: 1 - there was silence in heaven about the space of half an hour. To explain - 30 minutes is prophetic time, the Day of the Lord = 1 Week = 7 Years or 84 months or 2520 days, Daniel 9: 27, so one hour of His Wrath = 1/24 of the Day of the Lord or 3.5 months, so the half hour of Silence is 1.75 months or 7 weeks.

The 7th seal opens the book and the book is the Revelation of Christ. Thus the 7th seal begins the final chapter of human history whose prologue is the Tribulation, which precedes the ‘day of the Lord’ when Jesus will be revealed. The book cannot be opened until all of the seals are released. As each seal is opened, a glimpse of what it contains comes to light but the 7th seal is different because when it is finally opened, the book itself is now finally revealed. This verse in scripture, Revelation 8: 1 is so important, I've written it twice: When He (Jesus) had opened the 7th seal, there was silence in heaven about the space of half an hour.

All heaven stands in suspense, holding its breath, waiting to see what follows. So awful is the wrath of God, which is about to be revealed, that the inhabitants of heaven stand spellbound for half an hour in breathless and silent amazement!

You could say this is the last warning for the church visible and all those that live on earth. Shortly after the beginning of the second half, there is war in heaven and Satan and his minions are thrown out of heaven and cast down to earth Revelation 12: 9, where he indwells the anti-Christ’s body and creates havoc on the earth. He enters the temple and declares himself as God where he stops the oblations and sacrifices. The fact that Revelation 12: 9 confirms Satan still had access to heaven after the first flood, Genesis 1: 2, where he continues to condemn believers before God. Satan was thrown out of heaven, just after the half hour of silence in heaven as both these events are significant in their own right. I can't imagine a more significant event than war in heaven, so it stands to reason the half hour of silence would precede 'that' war, in which Satan and his hosts are thrown out of heaven. And that would agree with what is said in Revelation 11: 15 - 19.

The 7 trumpet judgments, the next calamity, probably too casual a description, are seen in a vision by John, which now begins and each one has a specific time-frame. Revelation 8 & 9. I've only mentioned what chapters this information comes from, there is much more in between the verses below that need to be read and I'm leaving that to you to confirm it for yourself. You should always check scripture to authenticate whatever is written, or said by whoever.

And I (John) saw the seven angels which stood before God; and to them were given seven trumpets. And another angel came and stood at the altar, having a golden censer; and there was given unto him much incense, that he should offer it with the prayers of all saints upon the golden altar which was before the throne. And the smoke of the incense, which came with the prayers of the saints, ascended up before God out of the angel's hand. And the seven angels which had the seven trumpets prepared themselves to sound. Revelation 8: 2 - 6.

1st trumpet - sounded by the 1st angel lasts for 1 month, preceded by an earthquake with hail and fire mingled with blood. 1/3 of vegetation is stricken and all green grass burnt up.

2nd trumpet - lasts for 2 months and 1/3 of the sea is stricken by what appears as a great mountain burning with fire which is thrown into the sea and becomes as blood with 1/3 of the fish dying and 1/3 of the ships destroyed.

3rd trumpet - lasts for 3 months and 1/3 of fresh water is stricken by a star falling from heaven known as ‘wormwood’ and many men die because the water is made bitter.

4th trumpet - lasts for 4 months and the ‘heavenly lights’ are stricken with 1/3 of the sun and the moon and the stars darkened and the day shone not for a third part of it and the night likewise.

After the 4th trumpet, Revelation 8:13 says, And I beheld, and heard an angel flying through the midst of heaven, saying, with a loud voice, Woe, woe, woe, to the inhabiters of the earth by reason of the other 'voices of the trumpet' of the three angels, which are yet to sound. So these 3 trumpets yet to sound are the 3 woes.

5th trumpet – lasts for 5 months and is the 1st woe, which becomes demon harassment in the form of locusts like scorpions and great power was given to them to cause harm. They are commanded not to hurt the grass or trees, or any green thing but only those unbelievers, without the seal of God in their foreheads – they are commanded not to kill but to repeatedly torment them for 5 months as when a scorpion strikes a man but far worse. And in these days, men shall seek death but will not find it. One woe is past and behold, there comes 2 woes more hereafter. Revelation 9: 12.

6th trumpet – lasts for six months and is the 2nd woe, which is demon attack. John hears a voice to the 6th angel with the trumpet to loose the 4 fallen angels which are bound in the great river Euphrates. They release a demonic army of 200,000,000 and they kill 1/3 of the population over 6 months. (Remember that the pale green horse of the 4th seal causes 1/4 of the geographical area of the earth’s population to perish in the 1st half, this now adds up to a significant number of the population) The horses in this demonic army have power to kill 3 ways – the heads of the horses were as lions; and out of their mouths issued fire and smoke and brimstone. For their power is in their mouth, and in their tails: for their tails were like unto serpents and had heads, and with them they do hurt. You would think that such a supernatural event over 6 months would cause man to repent and turn to God but no, not many will. Remember, these judgments are not against believers but believers will feel the effects of them.

The second woe is past; and, behold the third woe cometh quickly.

7th trumpet - lasts 'til the end, and scripture doesn't give a detailed description of its effects. it would seem to be a summation of the previous judgments, and the final judgments of the world and is the prelude to the bowl judgments. The 3rd woe, culminating with Armageddon - is at the end of the 7th trumpet, very close to the end and overlaps the 7 bowl judgments (or vials) in the last 12 months of the second half. Revelation 11: 14, 15.

I will digress with some more information before coming to the Bowl judgments.

After the war in heaven and Satan is cast out, he enters the anti-Christ's body and begins his assault on believers. The two witnesses, Moses and Elijah, a thorn in the anti-Christ's side in the 1st half are finally killed by the anti-Christ, allowed by God in the 2nd half. Revelation 11: 3 - 19. That is quickly followed by the martyrdom of the 144,000 Jewish men living in the world who are raised by God and under the direction of Moses and Elijah - they will preach the gospel throughout the entire world in the 1st half of Tribulation and will be martyred early in the 2nd half. Then after that, those saints who are to be killed, giving their lives for Jesus. Satan, now indwelled in the anti-Christ’s body, has absolute earthly power - until the end of Tribulation.

It must be remembered that God's seal, given to all believers will protect us from certain events during Tribulation but it will not protect you against martyrdom. (There will be many unbelievers who refused the mark and will make it through the Tribulation and enter the millennium but as they won't have God's seal protecting them from the events just mentioned, it will be harder for them.) God has marked some believers for martyrdom and nothing will change that but it does guarantee your salvation because you gave your life for Jesus - Matthew 16: 25. (Not so for unbelievers who also may be martyred in the Tribulation - they won't be saved like believers who are martyred, because they didn't make a choice to follow Jesus while they were able.) This is something that must be settled in your heart beforehand and many believers will yield under this pressure seeking to save their lives by denying Jesus - Luke 12: 4, Jesus says, And I say unto you my friends, Be not afraid of them that kill the body, and after that have no more that they can do. Those of us who are marked for martyrdom will need to be in the same mind as Jesus - He was looking past the cross. To think that one man, who was sinless, was prepared and willing to die for the likes of us, I cannot help but love Him.

May I suggest, to read another article, The Gift of Life - God's Gift to us, where I've explained how to approach death by martyrdom, that you can find at the end of this article, along with some more.

It was expedient that one should die for many - in the end many will die for one.

In the beginning of the 2nd half of Tribulation, Satan, now indwelled in the anti-Christ's body after being cast out, will cause the false prophet to stand up who will coerce ALL religions to worship the anti-Christ through a one-world-religion. I believe it's this Pope, because of what he has already said - or the next, and by the closeness of Tribulation. And he is given power by Satan, Revelation 13: 12 - 15, who commands that an image be built, (by unbelievers) which has the ability to speak and everyone is to worship it – failing to do so may result in death. Rather than a statue as an image, with today’s technology it could well be a highly developed hologram. It is the false prophet who commands and forces many unbelievers and many believers also, who aren't really believers at all, to receive the mark of the beast on their hand or on their forehead, disallowing any who refuse it to be able to buy and sell anything, unless you take the mark. Revelation 13: 16, 17. And if you haven't read these verses yet, it may be time to do so. True believers won't take the mark, choosing the very real possibility of death instead. Thinking about this, there are other things that Satan will put in place that will coerce many to take the mark just to be able to buy and sell that are beginning to happen - even now, unbeknown to many.

Many are aware of the QR codes that are now prevalent worldwide and nearly all the governments around the world are making it mandatory to sign in with a QR code whenever you go to a business for any business transaction. What isn't seen by many at this stage, is this technology, seemingly innocent enough, is really a precursor to and opening the way for a cashless society. As time goes on and people get so used to this technology it will be an easy step to introduce a COMPLETE, cashless society, enforced immediately following the mark in the beginning of the second half. (Which is being set in place right now, by Satan unbeknown to the world.) Think about this - a cashless society describes an economic situation whereby financial transactions are not conducted with money in the form of physical banknotes or coins but rather through the transfer of digital information between the transacting parties, usually an electronic representation of money, which is already accepted and happening - PayPal, Banks etc.

Something else to consider - "During COVID-19, using a smartphone to scan a QR code to enter a venue has been a necessary activity for millions of Australians as well as those in other countries. If you look at the Australian economy, cash usage is in sharp decline. We see Osko and QR codes playing a key role replacing cash in that space. QR codes within Australia’s real-time payment system Osko, help to streamline the way small businesses accept payments, and the functionality is available now to those financial institutions that want to provide it to their customers. The Commonwealth Bank of Australia released a report that predicted Australia could become cashless by 2026, based on the trend in Asia and China revealed in the Reserve Bank of Australia’s Consumer Payment Methods Survey. The Australian payments provider announced this week (April/May 2022) that it is set to roll out a new, QR code-based payments system in the coming months called eftpos QR (or eQR). Supermarket giants Coles and Woolworths, along with the Commonwealth Bank and National Australia Bank, are supporting a new QR payments platform developed by eftpos. For the banks, paying with a QR code will allow them to bring payments into their banking apps, driving customer usage and engagement".

At this present time, even with these systems in place, cash can still be used but that will soon change with the mark. It is the false prophet, given power by Satan through the anti-Christ, who will try to coerce/enforce all to accept the mark - Revelation 13: 16 & 17, which is a simultaneous event, that is, implementing the mark and being prevented from accessing your cash. I've said that again just in case you may have missed it 3 paragraphs above. In the above paragraph - I've mentioned Australia becoming cashless by 2026, and I'm including other countries, that is only saying when it could be instituted, not when it's 'coerced' upon all. And a complete cashless society will mean exactly that - you cannot use cash at all, nor can you access your finances unless you have the mark as already mentioned. And there will be those who will believe what they will be told about the mark - "it is in your benefit" and so many will fall for it to be able to access their finances. Amongst other things, people will be told it will reduce crime. So think about that and what it means for believers by what I've said in these paragraphs. If this turns out to be true and from my own investigations, it would appear so - and that should also tell you how close Tribulation is. Matthew 6: 25 - 34 tells us how God will provide for His own during that time. It may be timely to read those last 4 paragraphs again.

What I'm saying next, is only my thoughts - it could be the wrong thing to do. If you have some surplus cash when the Tribulation begins, you might use it for whatever may be useful for survival to help you through the second half before the mark is implemented, as cash will be of no use after the mark - and it may not be even possible to live in our own homes, remember, even if you own your home it still costs money to do that and without the mark, which will be implemented in the beginning of the second half, that will be impossible. If we have to move around by necessity, travelling light may be the only way to do that and we will need shelter of some sort - a very best quality (military/expedition quality) 4 seasons, 2 or 3 man dome tent may be the answer. It will need to be of the highest quality as it will need to stand the rigors of permanent living for at least 3.5 years, perhaps in rugged terrain. A black market may survive for a while but that will soon be outlawed. Of course, there are other things I could suggest but I may be 'jumping the gun' not knowing exactly how things will pan out and I don't want to dissuade any from having faith that God will do what He has promised.

And now comes a warning:

DO NOT, UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES, ACCEPT THE MARK OF THE BEAST. Not under any circumstances – even unto death. I can't make it any plainer than that. Perhaps I can say it like this - if you've got any doubts whatsoever, no matter whether you believe or you don't, DO NOT TAKE THE MARK - you could have a change of heart. Having a change of heart after taking the mark won't help you, it will be too late. Anyone who gets the mark is already dead – their names will be erased from the Lamb’s Book of Life. [Just a little explanation - if you're an unbeliever reading this and you're unsure what is meant by 'taking the mark' - in the 2nd half of Tribulation, the false prophet, given power through the anti-Christ by Satan, will try to coerce all to accept a mark. The mark may be in the form of a number of technologies, from a micro-chip placed under the skin or an invisible tattoo on your hand or forehead, of which both can be scanned. If you refuse the mark when it arrives you will be prevented from buying or selling anything. This obviously will make it harder to exist. If you accept the mark just to survive - it matters not whether you believe or you don't, it will be too late, there is no forgiveness for taking the mark even in ignorance.] Everyone’s name, believers and unbelievers names are in His Book from the beginning of the world, until, either by the willful act of accepting the mark, or sadly, remaining as an unbeliever until death, which will seal their fate in both instances, Revelation 13: 8. There are NO excuses here and everyone will receive the warning from an angel flying in heaven, which means it could be audible, Revelation 14: 6 - 10. Those who take the mark shall drink of the wine of the wrath of God and is poured out into the cup of His indignation without mixture, which indicates there will be no mercy mixed with this judgement. So no matter what - do not take the mark. Revelation 13: 17.

And this is the point of no return – your very last chance for salvation.

The first 2.5 years of the second half of Tribulation will be taken up with 6 trumpet judgments, along with the 5th and 6th seal and results in the persecution and death of many believers who choose death over taking the mark and can't even yet be imagined. Only God knows who He has marked for martyrdom. On that last sentence, many will think, why has God marked some for martyrdom, yet not others? And it's a difficult question to answer. Fortunately, scripture does have an answer - Paul tells us what it is in Romans 9, particularly verses 1 - 23 but still, many will not understand.

The 7th trumpet judgment will last for the remainder of the second half and overlap the bowl judgments. The trumpet judgments are all warnings from God, the 7 bowl judgments are punitive in nature and will affect unbelievers in a direct way but believers may be indirectly affected to some degree - we will need to put all our trust in Him.

The bowl or vial judgmentsthe worst of all, begin 2.5 years after the second half begins, (and to the end) are ALL concentrated in the last 12 month period of 7 judgements with each judgment lasting from 12 months for the first – to 6 months for the 7th. So instead of a single event with which to cope, we shall be faced with a continual layering of events, all overlapping each other, unprecedented in their character and will occur one after the other in ascending intensity. The 7th trumpet judgment overlaps these as well - I think we can now understand more fully what is said in Matthew 24: 21.

Bowl #1 lasts for the entire 12 months and is characterised by the visible, noisome and grievous sores that break out on everyone who accepts the mark and I think far worse than the plague of leprosy. These sores will be extremely painful and incurable.

#2 lasts for 11 months and ALL the seas turn to blood and every living thing in it dies.

#3 lasts for 10 months and ALL the rivers turn to blood and many men will die.

#4 lasts for 9 months and the sun increases in heat and scorches men – except those with God’s seal. That judgement and the ones preceding are beyond human thinking or imagination.

To digress a little, I take comfort in Psalm 37: 18 & 19: The Lord knoweth the days of the upright: and their inheritance shall be forever. They shall not be ashamed in the evil time: and in the days of famine they shall be satisfied. We should be careful not to misconstrue the word famine in this verse, as in a lack of bread, it can also mean a famine of hearing the words of the Lord. What I'm saying here is you need to be careful where you place your trust in these latter days - churches will be failing in their responsibility. Amos 8: 11 - 13, is similar but says truth won't be found, and says, Behold the days come, saith the Lord God, that I will send a famine in the land, not a famine of bread, nor a thirst for water, but of hearing the words of the Lord: And they shall wander from sea to sea, and from the north even to the east, they shall run to and fro to seek the word of the Lord, and shall not find it. In that day shall the fair virgins and young men faint for thirst. But we have our Bible, which we can carry wherever in this time and the Spirit will still be leading us, probably more so as long as we remain faithful. If the word famine does mean 'lack of bread' and I don't think it does - we need to remember the Exodus, which lasted for 40 years and God provided for them during that time, even though they had their flocks with them. He did it then and Matthew 6: 25 - 34 would suggest He can certainly do it again.

Isaiah 30: 26 says in part: Moreover the light of the moon shall be as the light of the sun and the sun shall be sevenfold as the light of 7 days. And also in Isaiah 49: 10, which speaks of God's awesome keeping power in this trying time, Isaiah is saying in the same context as Amos: They shall not hunger nor thirst; neither shall the heat nor sun smite them: for He that hath mercy on them shall lead them, even by the springs of water shall He guide them. Part of this verse, They shall not hunger (for food) nor thirst; tells us the Spirit will fill us if we remain faithful - neither shall the heat smite them: speaks to me of Daniel 3: 19 - 27, where King Nebuchadnezzar threw 3 men into the fiery furnace and how they had faith of being delivered. Also in the second part, nor sun smite them - is also confirming how God will increase the strength of the light in the moon and the sun as in bowl #4 above. And the third part is meaning all those believers who He will lead through Tribulation, even by the springs of water shall He guide them - we can be confident and know that He will provide in a way known only to Him, not to be confused with bowl #3 above, which is meaning unbelievers. Hebrews 13: 5, which says in part and also gives me great encouragement: I will never leave thee, nor will I forsake thee. These verses are a beautiful promise and a comfort to all those who remain in Christ and facing Tribulation and we aren't to become overly worried about whatever we may face - He will deliver us through it in a way we don't yet understand. Matthew 6: 25 - 34 is a clear example of how God will provide and bring us through this time of trouble. Throughout the Bible we are told of many instances where God has delivered those faithful to Him through whatever, and not from whatever. God brought the Israelites through the Exodus, and not from it. And this is an important thing to consider and also remember because Tribulation is exactly the same, only nowhere near as long - He will deliver us through it, whether that is right through 'til the end, or if dying before or during, in whichever way God decides, which should dispel any pre-trib rapture thoughts.

These days will certainly be trying and many will fall.

To continue with the bowl judgments . .

#5 lasts for 8 months and is total darkness but only envelops the seat of the beast and his kingdom, which is intensely palpable.

#6 lasts for 7 months and the Euphrates is dried up so that the way of the kings of the east is prepared – and 3 unclean spirits come out of the mouth of the false prophet who go forth to the kings of the world to gather them to the battle of Armageddon. There are some who say the battle of Armageddon follows this judgement - that isn't quite right. This 6th bowl judgement is the preparation for that battle, not the battle itself, that happens after the 7th judgment, at the end.

#7 lasts for 6 months and there were voices and thunders - and there came a great voice out of the temple of heaven, from the throne, saying, It is done. And there is lightning with hail stones containing blood and weighing about 35 kg. There is a great earthquake – greater than any since men were upon the earth (the magnitude of this event would suggest tall buildings will fall throughout the world - Ezekiel 38: 20) and the ‘great city’ was divided into 3 parts and Mystery Babylon is in remembrance before God to give her the cup of the wine of the fierceness of His wrath - Revelation 18: 3 – 10, particularly 4 and 5. But still, men will not repent. There is a lot to happen in that 7 months of #6 and #7 judgments, remember, these judgments are overlapping and very soon after this judgment, Jesus will return at God's direction to destroy all those opposing Him. Again if you missed it - this is part of the 3rd woe. It is done is pretty clear.

We can now see why the second half is so terrifying, particularly in the last 12 months.

And so now you must be thinking – when does all this begin? Well, there are clues – and I don’t mean when Jesus returns, no-one but God knows that day. So let’s examine the clues that tell us when Tribulation begins starting with the Fig Tree parable – Now learn a parable of the fig tree; When his branch is yet tender, and putteth forth leaves, ye know that summer is nigh: So likewise ye, when ye shall see all these things, know that it is near, even at the doors. Verily I say unto you, this generation shall not pass, till all these things are fulfilled. Matthew 24: 32 – 34. Bear in mind that Jesus told this parable immediately after what He said in verses 29 - 31. So how do we understand this?

I always thought that ‘this generation’ was in the time of Jesus – but it isn’t. Jesus said that at that time but meaning now, and His words immediately after confirm it. When you see Israel re-blooming, your generation would be the one on earth and living when the last days occur. If Jerusalem was destroyed in 70 AD and its inhabitants scattered, when did Israel bloom again? History has the answer – May 14th 1948 is when history records it. The generation that witnessed that – those born shortly after W.W.2, most are still alive and we are those that Jesus said would be alive when the last days begin. We are they who shall see all these things. I think this prophecy has been partly fulfilled. If the fig tree parable has been correctly interpreted and God has given us 70 years, or if by reason of strength, 80 years - Psalm 90: 10, so using God’s allocated human life span of 3 score and 10, 1948 + 70 = 2018 or 1948 + 80 = 2028. The time for the commencement of Tribulation (i.e. a time in between a span of 10 years) can’t be dismissed yet.

However, I don’t believe that God in His mercy would leave us guessing about a time between 10 years as in the fig tree parable, so I believe there is a better way of determining the possible start as in the year of Tribulation beginning - not the day. I would ask that you consider for a moment, certain facts that the Bible tells us, which are: Tribulation lasts for 7 literal years, (or 1 week = 7 years of prophetic time in Daniel 9: 27), which is split into two equal halves and Jesus will return at the end of that time, Matthew 24: 29 – 31 - in the scripture at the beginning of this article. And that scripture should dispel ANY argument about when Jesus will return - that is, at the END, not before or during. It is also at this time, Satan, being the coward that he is, will exit the anti-Christ's body as it is thrown into the lake of fire and he will be locked in chains and cast into the abyss until the end of the millennium.

The actual day that Tribulation begins isn’t yet known (until the anti-Christ brokers the signing of the covenant with Israel and the ten nation confederacy, which is Day One - Revelation 17: 12 - 14) but there is a plausible scriptural indication of what year it will begin. Please bear in mind the explanation of the scripture in Hosea at the end of and after this paragraph is just my interpretation and I cannot give a definitive guarantee that it is absolutely correct and I am basing my interpretation on what I read in scripture and the continuing downward spiral of society worldwide that Jesus has told us about in Matthew 24: 7, which we can all see with our own eyes that is beginning to escalate even now and is so clear to those who understand. Even many unbelievers who know by the state of this perishing world that something bad is coming, they just don't know what it is. Also by the 7000 year / 7 days prophecy explained below, which is God's timeline of man - and we know that timeline is almost finished. Remember, many verses in scripture are veiled, that is, the meaning is hidden from many as there are those who will trample them underfoot - 2nd Corinthians 4: 3, 4 is clear. I can only say the following verses from Hosea 6: 2, 3 would appear to point us to it. After two days He will revive us: in the third day He will raise us up in His sight and we shall live in His sight and makes sense to me in the way explained below. (Revive is meaning the dead in Christ are raised first, followed by those alive – 1st Thessalonians 4: 16 - 18.) And in Hosea 6: 3, Then we shall know if we follow on to know the Lord:

This is my interpretation: The two days relates to two millennial days, which is prophetic time in these verses, in the manner in which Hosea is talking (one day is as 1000 years) but it is also literal time, which is the 2000 years after the death of Jesus. The third day, which is synonymous with God raising Jesus in the third day in the tomb, is also meant as mentioned above, that Jesus will raise those in Him in His sight in the third day. In the words just underlined, I will have more to say on that *below. The 5th and 6th millennial days of human existence is time right now and the 6th day is almost finished, with one day to come and the 7000 year / 7 days of God's human timeline runs like this, Adam to Abraham 2000 years, (or two millennial days) Abraham to Jesus 2000 years, (") Jesus to now 2000 years, (") which is also known as 'the church age' with the 1000 years, or one millennial day yet to come following the end of Tribulation. That church age is the period of time or grace between the 69th and 70th week of Daniel 9: 27 - known as the seventy weeks prophecy, where the prophetic clock was stopped by God after Jesus' death and wasn't revealed to Daniel. Jesus was killed in 33 AD and by adding the known church age, which brings us to 2033 and also includes the Tribulation in that time - (the Tribulation is over 7 years in 2 parts and finishes at the end of the 6th millennial day.) If we subtract those 7 years to find the year it begins, we arrive at 2026 for the start of Tribulation. That begins the count down of the final 7 years when the clock will be restarted by God - which will begin on the same day the anti-Christ brokers the peace covenant with Israel. Those who understand scripture and are watching for it will know by the signing of the covenant it has now begun and it will be world news.

And further . . .

The scripture in Daniel regarding the end times is very important scripture and is connected to what Jesus said in Matthew 24. In Daniel 12: 11, it mentions, And from the time that the daily sacrifice shall be taken away, (which is the mid point of Tribulation) and the abomination set up, (which is the image of the beast, Revelation 13:15) there shall be a thousand two hundred and ninety days. Which includes, at some point, the 30 days for the regathering of all Israel. The purpose of the regathering is this: Jews who are believers will be saved and raised by Jesus, along with all other believers but unbelieving Jews will be judged separately before being thrown into the lake of fire. Ezekiel 39: 23 - 28. Daniel 12: 1 - 10 is describing the Tribulation. Then in Daniel 12: 12, it mentions, Blessed is he that waiteth, and cometh to the thousand three hundred and five and thirty days. There are 45 days that are not explained - the way that these verses are structured could suggest that may be a time after the END of the second half of Tribulation, and after Armageddon where God pours out His wrath on all the unbelievers who refused to repent while they still had time. Which will end in all those unbelievers being thrown into the Lake of Fire, along with the false prophet and the anti-Christ. So it's quite possible, by this scripture, many believers both alive and dead in Christ will witness this event. By adding the 30 days and the 45 days together it would suggest there is a further 75 days between the finish of the Tribulation and the start of the millennium. Or, the 30 days are included in those 1290 days mentioned above, leaving the 45 days to conclude after the finish of Tribulation, before the millennium.

I think the fig tree parable was spoken by Jesus to confuse some at that time who didn’t really believe, and even today. And because of a 10 year differential in that parable, who could even guess what year Jesus will return - let alone the day. This scripture in Hosea is giving a specific year - not the day and makes sense to me – I don’t know of any other scripture that points to it as clearly. If there are no clues in scripture, then we're only guessing. The third day is also the last millennial day in God's timeline, which follows on from the two days that Hosea mentions, and is the 1000 years that Jesus reigns on earth after the end of Tribulation. And at the end of the 1000 years, Satan is then released from the abyss to try to deceive all those who are the few unbelievers that manage to make it through Tribulation and enter the millennium, who for reasons of their own refused the mark. And they will still be given opportunity to repent after re-populating the earth during the millennium because they refused it. No-one with the mark will enter the millennium, being killed prior along with the anti-Christ and false prophet. This isn’t a second chance, you only get one shot at salvation - I'm saying that in a metaphorical way, Romans 11: 22, 23 makes it clear, and that must be before you die, whenever that is - Jesus' hand is still outstretched in mercy. There is NO hope beyond the grave - Isaiah 38: 18. And this is how it will be for those unbelievers who are not raised in the first resurrection, before the millennium. That is, the dead in Christ who are risen with believers at the end of the Tribulation. Unbelievers who refused the mark, live to make the right choice in the millennium. But there will be some of those who still won’t believe, even after seeing Him, just like those who saw Him when He was here, which is why Satan will be released at the end of the 1000 years to try and deceive those unbelievers in the millennium of which there will be many. There is also a second resurrection at the end of the millennium, to judge all those unbelievers, either alive or dead, before and during the millennium who never made a choice for God before time is no more, Revelation 10: 6. This is the second death - Daniel 12: 2 and Revelation 20: 12 - 15. So many find it hard to understand the mercy and grace of God – are we living in the days of Noah now, with the last week soon to arrive? I believe we are.

Even if I've misinterpreted my interpretation, which I don't think I have, just looking at the world today and the age we live in and the events we're seeing, it can't be denied that we're on the cusp of something terrible.

Just as an afterthought of the 7000 year / 7 days prophecy and how the 2000 years from the time Jesus was killed, to now, fits in with Hosea 6: 2, 3. Firstly, and I am digressing here to offer an explanation, it must be remembered that the earth is much older than 6000 years, it is indeed, millions of years old. The 6000 years is the overall current position in God's timeline of man with the 1000 years of the millennium to come. Man wasn't here prior to the last 6000 years. It is generally accepted that dinosaurs became extinct about 65 million years ago from carbon dating - there are none here today but we know they existed because of fossil remains. Secondly, there are many who believe there is a gap of undetermined time between the very first two verses in the Bible, and of course there are those who don't agree and I side with those in the first group simply because of what the second verse tells us - it is suggesting a dark and inhospitable place. So the first flood, which was overall, was perhaps, because Satan rebelled in the very first construction of the earth as he was given custodianship over it but he wanted more. Very briefly, the second verse in the Bible is suggesting there was a catastrophic flood, referred to in 2nd Peter 3: 5 - 7, For this they willingly are ignorant of, that by the word of God the heavens were of old, and the earth standing out of the water and in the water: whereby the world that then was, being overflowed with water, perished: But the heavens and the earth, which are now, by the same word are kept in store, reserved unto fire against the day of judgement and perdition of ungodly men. By these verses we see that Peter understood that the earth 'that is now' was a reconstruction over 7 literal days and that there was a previous world in existence long before God made Adam. The second flood was in Noah's day, 1656 years later and nowhere near the same scale. When God made Adam, He was aware and knew that Satan would cause Adam to fall and I can only presume that Satan, being the first liar is also the first entity to sin and subsequently caused Adam to sin by deceiving Eve. Satan hates us because he is jealous that God made man and He considers us as His children.

Because God knew of Satan's fall, and subsequently Adam and Eves fall from grace, is why He decreed the 7000 year / 7 day forecast, which explains the timeline of man that I've explained in the paragraphs above this one and also explains the time given, or allowed to Satan to tempt man. So then, God being patient, has given man 6000 years prior to where we are now to come to Him and repent but overall in that time, very few have. All those alive and dead who have come to Him in that 6000 year period will be raised by Jesus to meet Him in the air when He returns at the end of the Tribulation. *Those believers raised by Jesus throughout the world, in various countries, will help to rule with Him in His government during the millennium, and they will do so with justness. The parable of the talents, Matthew 25: 14 - 23 is applicable here. And the corrupt governments that are with us to day and getting worse, will be no more.

Isaiah 65: 20 would suggest that those who enter the millennium shall have longevity of life and says, There shall be no more thence an infant of days, nor an old man that hath not filled his days: for the child shall die an hundred years old; but the sinner being an hundred years old shall be accursed. The words in the middle of this verse is saying a child will be very young at 100 years old, as it was before the flood in Noah's day.

Those unbelievers who refused the mark are the only ones who enter the millennium along with believers - both alive and dead, raised by Jesus at His return to will rule with Him as mentioned. And God has now reduced the time for them to come to salvation simply because of the time left in the 1000 years of that prophecy. Those unbelievers should be very thankful of His mercy and that His patience 'hasn't yet fully run out'. This is just another way of thinking about it.

Something to think on as the day approaches - the 4 phases of spiritual growth, which should give you reason to think . . .

1. Forward Progress: which is reading your Bible and/or ichthys.com as much as you can - at least 10-15 minutes daily and we can all find that, barring emergencies. I personally think 10 - 15 minutes is enough - you can read a lot in an hour but you will forget what you've read in the first minute. And 10 minutes is enough to digest and consider. The important thing is, try to be constant. If everyday pressures are preventing you from being constant in reading, try to be constant in your thoughts. There was a time when gold could be found lying on the surface of the ground but not any more, you have to dig for it. And that is the same as a superficial reading of the Bible - there is gold in the Bible but you have to dig for it. Forward progress will always attract Satan's attention because we're all in 'enemy territory' while we are here. Daily prayer, don't ever let Satan fool you into thinking you don't need to regularly pray, or that you haven't got much to pray about, how else can you know Him and have a relationship with Him? The avenue for communication is prayer and you can do that at any time. God's 'phone' is never switched off - the line is always open. The more you pray and try to have forward progress, the sooner the Spirit will come to you and that's a wonderful thing. Having sweet fellowship with like-minded people and always being ready to help and encourage others who don't yet know Jesus, which is our given mission. You never know where you might find a lost sheep or when God will bring one across your path. And if God does bring a lost sheep across your path, be very careful in what you say as the slightest aloofness or self worthiness will only be rejected and always try to season your words with enough salt to create a thirst for Jesus. Sometimes when speaking to an unbeliever who you suspect may be a lost sheep, your words are often met with a rejection first up but if you try to show your love for Jesus, love is a difficult thing to reject and can often win over a difficult person. Above all, refuse to be drawn into argument.

2. Standing still: which is infrequent reading, not praying as much as you should, which means the Spirit's visits will become less. You are still saved but you're at risk of losing your grip on Jesus' hand. Standing still is almost as dangerous as sliding backwards, which is a transition stage before sliding backwards - you could go either way. Without forward progress you can become careless of God's gift. And this point must include the very real danger of being lukewarm, a condition that so many now find themselves in and is detestable to Jesus. There are many verses that describe lukewarmness but the verses in Revelation 3: 15 - 17 are the most stinging - I know thy works, that thou art neither cold nor hot: I would thou wert either cold or hot. So then because thou art lukewarm, and neither cold nor hot, I will spue thee out of my mouth. Because thou sayest, I am rich, and increased with goods, and have need of nothing; and knowest not that thou art wretched, and miserable, and poor, and blind, and naked. Being lukewarm, you could find yourself knocking and the door will remain shut to you.

3. Sliding backwards: you rarely read or pray and the Spirit is trying to win you back to Jesus. And in this condition, you probably won't hear the Spirit's tender plea. By rarely reading, trying to absorb as much knowledge through a 'crash course' in Bible reading either just before or after Tribulation begins will only leave you spiritually unprepared to face it. The problem here for most is they are ignorant of Tribulation being as close as it is and will catch so many unawares. As long as you haven't turned away from Jesus by rejecting Him completely, you are still saved but there is a very real danger of falling away and perhaps taking the mark in the intense persecution of Tribulation. This is also a dangerous condition to find yourself in. Points 2 and 3 are the lukewarm of Laodicea, the last era that we now find ourselves in.

4. Apostasy: Simply means turning away from God and Jesus and if you fall to your own apostasy by no longer believing and continuing, you are by your own actions forfeiting your salvation.

Just a little more on being lukewarm - As mentioned above in point 2, being lukewarm is a spiritual condition that is neither cold nor hot, which is really a sad position to be in and if you're honest with yourself, you know if you're lukewarm. And being lukewarm is really a half-hearted desire - you've come a little way but you're not yet prepared to give it your all for whatever reason and there are still some things that are holding you back, which are the things of the world that mean nothing at the end of it. Yet if you stop and think about it, whatever is holding you back isn't even worth considering and cannot compare with the promise of salvation. Lukewarm faith is faith that doesn't affect the way you live - it describes someone who hasn't openly denied Jesus but isn't openly living for Him either. I sincerely hope I've pricked your conscience.

Jesus didn't shrink from giving His all for you and me did He? And once you've thrown that ailment away and you've realised that living for Jesus is far better than anything you could ever imagine because of the promises He has made, you will benefit. If you give your heart fully to the one who loves you the most, you will find it will soon become the most important thing to you. For most, it's simply a matter of stamping on rebelliousness. And rebelliousness is a trait that not many like to admit it's in them, which is understandable and so many don't even realise they suffer it. And if you come to that realisation it must be stamped on hard before it does lasting damage. I've already mentioned what Jesus thinks of being lukewarm, it's neither hot nor cold and we all know within ourselves whether we're hot or cold. By making a conscious effort to change this condition, and it doesn't take much to do it, we only have to try and it starts by loving Him, the one who gave His all for you and I. And once you've began that journey, your daily life will benefit and be that much better.

In the paragraph above where I've emphasised 'to give it your all' I'm not saying it's necessary to join yourself to any religious affiliation - not at all. What I'm meaning is this is a change that happens within you, not as an outward show by attending churches - it's first by making a conscious decision to follow and give your heart in love, to Jesus, the one who made salvation possible for you and after that, a gradual change will occur within you, which eventually, is noticeable by others. Not only that, you too, will notice there is something that wasn't there before - the influence of the spirit, and that's a beautiful thing. If you just continue, which is the ONLY condition, and read the Bible, which is the only way you can spiritually grow, that is giving your all. And Jesus is just waiting for you to come to Him - that then becomes forward progress.

Think again of the 4 phases of spiritual growth mentioned above. In the era we live, forward progress is what we should all be trying harder to do - it should be our first priority, yet for most, it's the very least effort that is made, which is lukewarmness. For so many, lukewarmness is the norm. And that isn't forward progress is it? There are many times in any day when we can all think more about God and His dear Son - and the gift of salvation that God has given through Jesus' sacrifice, how often do we really think about that? It isn't a demand but it is a requirement - and if you think about it honestly, it's neglectful . . . so many lukewarm . . . so many lost sheep . . . not enough sheepdogs!

Salvation is NOT about churches - it means to understand the strait gate verses totally, Matthew 7: 13, 14 and know that through His death He made available by His mercy the simple way of salvation. Every word in those two verses contain the perfect manner that Jesus established, there is NO other way. Now if you can accept that church attendance is not a requirement for your salvation, that's well and good but it doesn't mean that if you do nothing at all, salvation is still possible. That isn't true either *as mentioned below.

*There are those who recognise that church attendance isn't a requirement for salvation and many of those, for whatever reason, don't believe that reading the Bible is necessary either - simply saying 'I believe, surely I will be saved'. Well, that alone isn't good enough, there is more to it than just saying I believe.

* Faith is an internal thing in your heart and mind - the more you feed and care for it by reading and continuing, the more it will increase. And that is the crux of the matter, faith will not increase by being lukewarm. Faith starts off small but it will grow if you feed it. And being a spiritual thing, faith must be fed in order to grow and as a simple analogy – a seedling will quickly die without sufficient watering. And all can understand that analogy.

* A little more on believing - Can you lose salvation after it is given? Yes, you can. Salvation is in two parts, firstly when you first believed and then fully after death, either if that's before or during Tribulation or if raised alive at the end. Salvation must be in two parts simply because we are still here after receiving it - we remain here as a witness before others as we haven't been 'taken home' yet. This first part is an interim or probationary period to demonstrate that our faith is genuine - or that it isn't. God knows who will continue and who won't, which is why salvation is in two parts as just mentioned. Everyone's names are in the Lamb's book of life from the very beginning - and it's up to you whether it stays there. That's it, full stop - and faith determines whether you continue.

* But there are some who will try to convince you otherwise, i.e. those who believe that once God has given salvation, nothing can take it away - they are the believers of OSAS, Once Saved Always Saved and that is very dangerous thinking. In fact, it's a lie. If you didn't sin OSAS would be true but who can say they are without sin? And we all sin, it's just a matter of whether we have a conscious desire to try to stop - or don't even try. So yes, Jesus' love for us is certainly unconditional but salvation is conditional - what you do after salvation is given will determine whether you remain saved and I'm not talking about good works, which won't save you, you are saved only by His grace *as long as you continue, having faith in Christ, reading and learning about God's dear Son. That's the requirement that makes it conditional. Continuing is the opposite of falling away. Think about it this way - God didn't make salvation a difficult thing, He made it simple for you and me but think about what it cost Him - He asked His own dear Son to give His life for ours. The fact that Jesus was willing to give His life for yours and my salvation, I don't think it's too big a request to continue, do you?

Thinking again about that sentence immediately above, He gave His life so that you and I might have life - and He created the way to salvation, through the strait gate, at that very time, which is entered spiritually, and not in man made buildings. And the fact that He gave His life for us, shouldn't we be more conscious of what He has made available? Once you fully understand the true meaning of the strait gate verses and how to enter it, you will benefit.

At the end of this article you can access the strait gate article.

We all sin in some form every day - not that we want to, which is why we are told to repent and confess our sins on a daily basis. Satan is quick to remind us of our past - so whenever he does that, just remember his future of which he has none, he hates that. Don't even remind him of that, he knows it anyway - best to never have any conversation with him whatsoever - it opens a path for him to test you. And you don't want that, he is a master deceiver, look at how he convinced Eve with a lie because she naïvely believed he was a friend.

Genesis 6: 3 says in part, My Spirit shall not always strive with man and if you reject Him by no longer believing in Him - YOU ARE LOST, it's as simple as that and this statement is in the beginning of the Bible. Romans 11: 23, 24 makes it very clear and I'll write them here as they are so important in regard to salvation. Behold therefore the goodness and severity of God: but toward thee, goodness, if thou continue in His goodness: otherwise thou also shalt be cut off. And they also if they abide, not still in unbelief, shall be grafted in: for God is able to graft them in again. I think these verses are a beautiful encouragement and forgiveness to all who may be struggling and while there is life, there is also hope. Everyone who is an unbeliever, even those deep in sin can be turned around, if they allow God to work. His promises are beyond measure. Peter and Paul used the word continue during their ministry, which explains the simplicity of salvation. And anyone who has little or no understanding of the Bible knows what continue means.

A little more on being lost - As an analogy, every sailor knows that without suitable ground tackle and setting the anchor correctly when a storm is coming, shipwreck and possible loss of the ship will result if careful setting of the anchor has been neglected. When the 'storms of life' come and your spiritual anchor isn't firmly anchored in Jesus, you may suffer shipwreck on a lee shore in Eternity.

There are three false doctrines that threaten faith.

1. Institutional Security. (Belief that membership of the church visible is necessary for salvation.)

Danger now: Dependence upon a particular church or individual for salvation risks drifting away from true salvation through faith in Christ.

Future danger: Those with this perspective will be vulnerable to be drawn in by the false One-World-Religion of the Tribulation brought about by the false prophet and may end up worshiping the Beast instead of the Lamb of God.

Solution: If, instead of loyalty to an individual or organisation, we rely only on our membership in the body of Christ through true faith in Christ for our salvation, that faith will remain incorruptible no matter what steps governments or religious denominations may take. There is only one doorway to heaven, not multiple, which Jesus created and it is called the strait gate. It is entered spiritually in faith, not physically. Read and think on again and understand, Matthew 7: 13 & 14.

2. Positional Security. (This is the false belief of OSAS.)

Danger now: Belief in a salvation that is totally secure completely apart from our behaviour weakens our resolve to withstand sin and can lead to the hardening of the heart, apostasy and loss of eternal life.

Future danger: This will intensify when the falling away in the Tribulation begins. And the intense pressures at that time will cause many to depart from their faith.

Solution: As long as we continue and press forward with spiritual growth, our faith will increase accordingly and we will never fear falling into this trap. Rather than OSAS, which is described here - it's far better to think and adopt, OSSS, which is simply Once Saved, Stay Saved.

3. Tribulational Security. (Belief of pre or mid-trib rather than post-trib.)

Danger now: The belief that we won't ever have to face the ultimate threat to our faith - the Tribulation - negatively affects our alertness in our walk. It renders us unprepared for the personal troubles of life and shifts our focus away from Christ's return and attracts our gaze to the here and now, thus sapping much of our motivation to be productive for the Lord as we look to our future reward.

Future danger: If it is our lot to face that last, terrible period of Satan's world rule, alertness will be essential for the survival of our faith and nothing could blind-side us more than the threats of Tribulation than a belief that we will never face such threats. (Belief either way isn't inherently dangerous as it isn't a salvation issue but rejecting the post-trib view means you won't be spiritually prepared to face what is soon to come. That's what makes it dangerous.)

Solution: Waiting and watching for our Lord's imminent return helps us fix our hope squarely on Him, on our eternal life, eternal rewards and resurrection. Looking to Christ's establishment of His Kingdom. (These three points cited from ichthys.com)

Since faith can be lost and salvation depends on faith, salvation can be lost.

A little on prayer - We must never think of prayer as an obligation, it is a privilege and is such an important part of spiritual well-being. There is nothing too difficult about praying, just think of how a child talks to their parents with a love that is so obvious, and isn't that what we are - His children? It has been said before that the garments of Heaven only come in children's sizes! And it isn't about us, if you're constantly asking for this or that, then throw that attitude away and adopt a more humble attitude. There are always more things to pray about than what we want/need - God knows our needs even before we ask. I remember what John F. Kennedy once said - Ask not what your country can do for you, ask what you can do for your country and that's a pretty good analogy. Jesus won't let go of our hand, it's us who let go of His and every time we sin we are letting go of His hand. Please, think about that. If we don't recognise the seriousness of this it is usually followed by neglecting to pray, which is the next downward step. I personally believe the best way to pray is to be alone but that isn't to say it can't be done in a crowd when necessary and sometimes it may be necessary. As most who pray do so alone, the first thing to realise is that we must pray to Him in spirit because He is a Spirit - John 4: 23, 24 and I'll write it here because it's so important - But the hour cometh, and now is, when the true worshipers shall worship the Father in spirit and in truth: for the Father requireth even such to worship Him. We all need to know and understand these verses.

We are entering into His Sanctuary, which is His personal space. This is something that many forget or don't even know. Everything pertaining to God and Jesus must be done spiritually. Before you pray, just take a few moments to clear your mind of all other thoughts and focus your mind on Him and then pray from your heart through your mind. This means it's not necessary to verbally say or 'mouth' the words, try to say it in your mind. When you think something you are saying it in your mind, and prayer is the same thing. Even when you read something you are following it along by saying it in your mind. If you don't fully surrender your mind from distracting thoughts, your mind will wander through a lack of focus - and it's usually Satan who causes the distraction. Remember to give thanks for all things. Think about the word joy, as an analogy it's Jesus first, Others second, Yourself last and that's how it should be in everything we do.

The sweetest time of the day is when you pray because you are talking to the one who loves you the most.

There is no doubt that the Tribulation will be a time like no other and many will face unimaginable hardships not yet experienced or even thought of. These times will be of such a scale that faith will be severely tested and many who are not sufficiently spiritually prepared will fall. With Tribulation being such a short time away, the time to prepare is right now and I cannot emphasize that enough. Just reading about it is frightening enough, experiencing it when these days come - will be beyond words. Paul says in part in a verse in Romans 13: 12, The day is at hand and the night is well spent, that I like to think of the other way round: 'The day is far spent and the darkness is coming'. So do not put off what you can do today because you may not even be here tomorrow. An ounce of spiritual preparation will stand you in better stead than a ton of stored canned food. Just think about this - if you are marked for martyrdom, or death by whatever means, nothing is going to change that no matter how much stored food you have. Scripture does not tell us one way or another to prepare in a material way, as all material possessions may easily be taken from us and who knows what corrupt powers will be here then but being grounded in faith can never be taken from us - that is a certainty.

Something to remember and think about as Tribulation approaches and also as we go through it - Psalm 23 is a wonderful encouragement and needs to be embedded in our hearts to help carry us through this time. Some of us are destined to go through it to the end, some will be martyred during and some will mercifully be taken home beforehand. It is all in God's hands but we should all keep our eyes focused on what is promised to those who love Him, no matter what our lot is. And for those who haven't read it, I'll include it here:

The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want. He maketh me to lie down in green pastures: He leadeth me beside the still waters. He restoreth my soul: He leadeth me in the paths of righteousness for His name's sake. Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for thou art with me; thy rod and thy staff they comfort me. Thou preparest a table before me in the presence of mine enemies: thou anointest my head with oil; my cup runneth over. Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life: and I will dwell in the house of the Lord forever.

Trusting in ourselves through a material way rather than trusting in Him is very dangerous - trusting in something after the event is easy - trusting in something of this nature before the event is not easy and that is what faith is. We can be sure that He has a plan for each and everyone of us and if we try to go contrary to His plan in a material way by stockpiling food, it could put us outside that plan. Remember that it's more than likely we may not even be able to live in our own homes once the mark is introduced in the 2nd half. If you've never thought about that it may be time to really understand what is meant by taking or refusing the mark in the beginning of the second half of Tribulation. Think about how refusing the mark will disallow you from using or accessing your money and what that means but don't forget what it will cost you if you accept the mark. If you've understood what I've just said you're beginning to realise the dangers of Tribulation.

What scripture does tell us, God will provide in some yet unknown way as He has done before if we just wait on Him for His guidance, and this is all about trusting in Him and having an unshakable faith that He will do what He says. (The Israelites were in the wilderness for 40 years, yet He kept and provided for them.) Matthew tells us in 6: 25 - 34 that He will do just that, nothing more, nothing less and I particularly like verses 33 & 34, which says: But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and His righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you. Take therefore no thought for the morrow: for the morrow shall take thought for the things of itself. Sufficient unto the day is the evil thereof. I think it is clear from these verses that we must trust Him completely - He knows who His own are and the troubles we will face.

However, unless we are given clear prompting from the Spirit at some time before or even during Tribulation, I believe that some preparation in a material way in the form of a suitable, portable, best quality (military/expedition quality) 4 seasons 2 or 3 man dome tent (I know, I've already mentioned that above - I'm just saying it again) and certain equipment, etc., that can be carried by one man in a reasonable size backpack and learning some bush survival skills prior will not go astray when it arrives. On the other hand I don't believe He would expect us to just sit on a park bench and wait for the birds to feed us either. We may be moving from place to place out of necessity and 'travelling light' may be the only way to do that. And I say this as a reminder that we will be unable to buy or sell in the second half.

Those who have the gift of discernment and with the guidance of the Spirit will know what to do when it arrives. Even though the Spirit, who is now restraining evil will be taken out of the way opening the path for Tribulation, he will not leave us alone, he will still be in us to lead us, council us, strengthen us and even correct us. And we must never forget that, for without his help we will only have trouble in our lives if we don't obey his still small voice.

The events in Tribulation spoken about in Revelation are so very close now but only a small few are aware and most just don't know or worse, don't believe or even care. It is those in the first group we must try to help if they are willing to be helped. We should all keep a close watch on world events as the day draws closer and not neglect spiritual preparedness as I know we will recognise the anti-Christ rising just before Tribulation begins. In this day and age we will certainly see him on TV at that time.

A little on preparedness of mind - In spiritual growth after salvation, which is a new beginning, it is imperative to spend as much time as you can learning God's word through reading about His dear Son. And you can never stop learning about Him. Think about this way - if you don't fill your mind with spiritual things, Satan will quickly take advantage and fill it with all kinds of worthless matter. Those who are just lukewarm are most at risk. If learning is neglected, the 'seed of faith' becomes malnourished and withers away and the little faith remaining will not withstand the scorching pressures of Tribulation. And this is what happened to the 5 foolish virgins who neglected God's words. As a simple earthly analogy, a seedling will quickly die without sufficient watering. And so it is in a spiritual analogy, which is a directive - Our job is to plant the seed, God will do the watering and He will do the increase through the Spirit.

Psalm 27: 4 is one of my favourites and is something to look forward to.

One thing have I desired of the Lord, that I will seek after; that I may dwell in the house of the Lord all the days of my life, to behold the beauty of the Lord, and to enquire in His Temple.

There is so much more at ichthys.com

Everything I've said above would suggest a world of turmoil, war, political and religious corruption, and economic uncertainty in just a few short years from which there is little hope of a good outcome for many, unless you have previously made a decision to follow Jesus - who gave His life in love so that we may have life. But one thing is certain and that is by maintaining our faith no matter what comes, God will do what He has already promised. He is faithful and will deliver us through whatever, and not from it as He has done so many times in past days that we read of. We must determine to remain strong and continue right to the end, even if it should cost us our lives.

The further a society drifts away from the truth, the more it will hate those that speak it. George Orwell.

There is great encouragement in John 16: 33,These things have I spoken unto you, that in Me ye might have peace. In the world ye shall have tribulation: but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world.

And with His help, we can do it too.

Hi Dana,

Thank you for reading and absorbing this article - I can't say it is encouraging to any who read it because it is a warning that so many are oblivious to and the worse thing about that is not many even care.

I'm so glad that you've began reading ichthys Dana and I promise you, you won't be disappointed if you give it the time it deserves. There is so much information on the end times (of which I've only briefly touched on) and I would suggest to start with the Peter's Epistle Series as their not overly long, then start with the Satanic Rebellion.

There is a wealth of information in ichthys, he has devoted much of his life to this work and it has recently had it's 20th birthday with so many dedicated followers. He is happy to answer any questions and there are many from all around the world and he posts these questions every Saturday on his site which are so uplifting and I just can't wait for them.

I must admit when I first found it, it was an unassuming site - there were no glossy photos, no hoopla or razmataz, just plain facts and I passed over it looking for something better and it took me some time before I found it again - I should have saved it to favourites there and then.

I remember about 10 years ago when I was trying to make sense of Revelation (without much success on my own) and I turned to searching the internet with particular questions and cross checking everything I was reading with my Bible, I was soon able to determine fact from fiction but there was still something missing until I found ichthys and then everything fell into place.

Once you see the value in ichthys it will be a long time till your done I can assure you.

Again Dana, my very good friend, my best regards,

Jack.

Great article,

If people don't fill their mind with the word Satan will fill it with foolish things. People need to meditate on the word it is their sword and Satan will flee.

I'm reading ichtys.com and I'm really interested. I will let you know when I'm done.

Blessings.

Hi Porshadoxus,

I can see by your questions that you've read my article to the end and not dismissing it as I'm sure some would, so thank you for that.

To your first question - You could be right in thinking Enoch instead of Moses but I tend to lean in Moses' return as he was a leader of much significance in those days.

No, I am not suggesting that at all. The 144,000 Jewish men (who are now living in the world) are the ones called to carry the gospel throughout the world and they are to out 2x2 as in Luke 10: 1. They are under the direction of either Moses and Elijah or Enoch and Elijah (the 2 witnesses as you think) very early in the first half and many will turn again because of them. As scripture tells us, the 2 witnesses (whoever they are) are killed in the beginning of the second half (allowed by God) followed by the 144,000 who are the first to be martyred, then those saints already marked by God will suffer the same.

I believe the anti-Christ (who doesn't yet know he is the anti-Christ until Satan indwells him early in the second half) is alive and is now a young man of 18 - 19, most probably Jewish with a very good knowledge of Jewish custom to be able to be accepted in Israel. The last part of your question I believe I have answered in my article but suffice to say common sense is telling us that these days are not far hence.

Revelation 17 and 18 is clearly referring to the USA as Mystery Babylon. I am certainly no learned theologian by any stretch of the imagination but there are many respected theologians who agree with that summation. And knowing that I have the Holy Spirit working in me that is my conclusion as well.

Your last question leads me to think you are of the pre-trib view - and scripture does not say that at all. The Holy Spirit is 'taken out of the way' for one reason only, that is to open the path for Tribulation to begin, which he is presently restraining until the appointed time. That doesn't mean that the Spirit will leave us all alone and without help and guidance - he will still be in us. Nor does it say that "those in whom he dwells" are leaving with him. Please permit me to ask you to consider another article on this subject - The Rapture Principle, which hopefully will answer more of your questions.

My best regards,

Jack.

Porshadoxus from the straight and narrow way on January 18, 2019:

A few questions about your information:

How do we know that the two witnesses are Moses and Elijah? I think Enoch and Elijah is more likely, as both of those men left the earth without dying. Elijah would not need resuscitation.

Are you suggesting that, at the time of the tribulation, there will be only 144000 Jewish men alive?

How do we know that the anti-christ is currently alive? If we knew that information, we could make a reasonable conclusion of the latest year that Jesus would return.

How do we know that the USA is mystery Babylon? Mystery Babylon could just as well be Iraq, which includes the ancient city of Babylon, rebuilt by Sadaam Hussein. Babylon could also be a different sort of organization such as a financial conglomerate.

How will Christians be present for the entire Tribulation, when II Thessalonians 2:7 teaches that the restrainer (Holy Spirit) will be taken out of the way? If the Holy Spirit leaves, those in whom he dwells are leaving with him.
