Over three decades ago I become interested in the Bible, having drank from the heavenly cup once, I have not been tired to drink more
By nature, all humans on earth want to be on top, we all want to lead, no one likes to be servants nor slaves. Even the lazy ones they do not want to be servants they also want to be ahead.
In this article, I want to show us an intriguing words from the mouth of the Psalmist, which we have been reading, perhaps known off hand that revealed how he has been the best, how he has been first among his peers during his days on earth.
As we know that the word of God is life, it has neither expiry date nor can be destroyed, on reading this word we shall discover that it is equally applicable to us today.

Text to Focus on
My text of focus in the bible is taken from the longest chapter in the bible, which is Psalms 119, and I will be using verses 98 through 100.
“Thou through thy commandments hast made me wiser than mine enemies: for they are ever with me.
“I have more understanding than all my teachers: for thy testimonies are my meditation.
“I understand more than the ancients, because I keep thy precepts.” (Psa. 119:98-100)
In these three verses we shall see the author telling us that God has made him first among equals, the leader over three important people or groups or classes. Those mentioned classes are:
1. The enemies,
2. The teachers and
3. The Ancients
Examining critically the verses we shall see that anyone who becomes leader in all of these would be considered real leader and would attract different subjects to him for they will want to learn from him to know more things from him indeed people will want to know the secret of his leaderships.
Intriguingly the secrets of his leaderships have been stated in unmistaken terms in the above text and that we shall examine later.
I will continue with the exegesis of these verses in the next article.
Definition of the Title
A Latin word translated as “First among equals” is “primus inter pares”. This word according to www.definitions.net is literally used to refer to either the most senior member of a group of equals or to refer to someone who claims to be just one member of a group of equals when in reality he or she completely dominates the said group. He adds to this definition by saying that this as a person that is formally equivalent to others in a group but is superior in some attributes.
The free online dictionary gives this idiom this meaning, “more important or renowned than one’s peers” or “having the highest status in a group”.
It is said that in Chaldean numerology, 3 is used for it, while Pythagorean numerology uses 8 to denote first among equals.
By the simple definitions and clarifications of the title this thence means that I want to speak on how we can become leaders on earth using the bible as the fulcrum.
