Double Air but Fixed and Mutable
How To Get Along - Gemini and Aquarius
The Water Bearer and The Twin
This series on AstroCompatibility will cover all of the potential matchups in the Zodiac. We will continue this series thinking about and commenting on Gemini and Aquarius. You can get an EBOOK with all 12 matchups described for each sun sign, including Gemini or Aquarius at the new website by Christofer: http://www.astrologygetalong.com.
Gemini is an Air Sign that is Mutable Aquarius is Air and Fixed. The Water Bearer image is not a water sign, but an air sign. This is puzzling, but we live with it. Linda Goodman said that the Gemini is an “Adult with the feelings of a Child. The Aquarian is a Child with the Feelings of an Adult.” This sentence might help both understand why they are very much alike, but also intriguingly different. There are so many sun signs that are so prima facie different that when you look at these two, you have to assume that this is a match that can really work.
As you see that they are both talkers, both thinkers, both sociable and charming, and as you go through qualities see that they are either somewhat allied, or very close to each other in so many ways, you ask OK, how do we differ? Gemini is talented at communicating and understanding many diverse matters, and then communicating them to others in a fresh and clearness that amazes. Aquarius spends its time thinking too, and coming up with explanations for the world and the universe around them. Uranus is supposed to be the planet of Genius, but it is also could be called the planet of Quirkiness. It not only is not clear most of the time, oftentimes it is downright obscure. And all the while they are halfway proud that their inability to communicate their depth is proof that only they are right. Geminis are about getting their point across. Aquarians are about making a point that is encumbered because it does not exactly get across. But both being who they are, the rising sun will present a new set of realities and possibilities.
Positive Postulate: Put positively, one must anticipate a really positive relationship. Even their confusions and arguments would probably lead them both into new territory. Aquarius can move on to new ideas and attitudes even if they don’t win the day. Their fixed stubbornness borders on obnoxious, but it’s not death dealing. Gemini does the King of the Mountain either, at the end of the day. This movement around the world of ideas keeps the relationship in motion and kind of guarantees that a car wreck or a plane crash of the relationship is not in their future.
Romance Recommendation: You would have to say that these two would have fun. Aquarius can be a little stubborn and dull, but they don’t have moral hang-ups, just like the Gemini does not. This would portend that the free and easy ways of these two air signs would make the romance at least OK, if not good. Gemini unpredictability could spice things up. Aquarius could be happily surprised.
Conflict Quotient: Aquarius is funny about the “truth” - truth in the small, as well as truth in the grandiosely immense. In their world, it is like a tree that is outside in their front yard. It exists. Gemini is a kindred spirit of the phrase: “What is truth?” This is the kind of thing they could get in conflicts over. The Twin wants freedom more than almost anything else, after variety. Conflict takes away variety, because in an argument, it’s hard to just change the subject, and conflict threatens the sense of freedom. Aquarius however, when it comes to conflict over the truth, can be quite insistent in arguing ad infinitum. Their arguments would be great replayed the next morning, just to listen to the reasoning and the interrupting. Not broken dishes, just blazing verbal flames. But remember, neither of these air signs is a member of the Wrestling Association.
Peace Parlay: Life in the end is repetitive and mundane, and so is Romance itself. This factor asks the question: "Can we be bored together over the long term?" These two would call boredom “the pause that refreshes”. As time passes, they would smooth out the rough edges, and learn how to allow for the things that make each happy. If continuity is boredom then they would probably seek it.
Keep Up The Interest Graph: The Twin and The Water Bearer are going to stay interested and alive with new ideas. Aquarius would listen to any idea, and Gemini would probably propose any idea. If that didn’t work they would wait until tomorrow and read what’s new and edgy out there, in restaurants, books, trips or cuisine - and then toss those around. Not sticks in the mud, these, they would both be concerned on a continuing basis that they should not let things grow stale.
Seven Year Itchiness: There are some signs that by their nature are more stable in their love interests and family concerns as time goes on. Others are not. Aquarius would probably ask: “What’s so special about the 7th year? Has that been empirically tested? And why would I choose the 7th year just because others did?” Gemini would answer: “If you have to discuss the time factor, you are missing the whole object of the discussion. Just forget it, why don’t we just stay together?” This is a humorous example of a possible typical conversation. Honestly though, infidelity is a possibility for both, because they are not bound up with the normal constraints of convention.
ASTROCOMPATIBILITY POSSIBILITY RATING: 70% Positive Long Term - 75% Short Term. Gemini and Aquarius would really make a short term relationship full of sparks. There is enough indication that the everyday fun of life and the major turns could be handled together. Unless great eccentricity and major ego excursions ruined things, they could work out quite nicely.

Moon sign go to an automated chart generating site. Moon sign is the hour of birth. Rising sign is the hour of birth. Without the hour of birth, you don't get a Rising sign. Not sure the cost. But once you have it, you have it.

Sonia Rachel Abraham: I have Gemin/Leo already written up. God to my "Triad" article and give me your "Triad" information. You will have to go to an automated site to get your Moon and Rising done for each person.
SONIA RACHEL ABRAHAM on February 22, 2012:
Hello, I am a Gemini girl and my boyfriend is a Leo. If you don't mind, can you please help me with a write up on the compatibility (like the one above) between a Gemini woman and a Leo guy? This would be really very considerate of you.
Look forward! Cheers!

Thank you very much. Yes, My brother in Denver is available. He is a brilliant marketing guy and trying to get a screenplay sold. He is old though -- 55. Kind of long in the tooth for a beautiful woman, even one who calls herself jiberish. Good luck.
