Praying and Waiting for Something

We are not in control of everything here on earth. If we want to get something, we tend to use our abilities to do it ourselves just to get it. But have we ever thought that might look like being stubborn? because we force things to happen and can't wait for the right place and time. Remember, God has the only control all over the earth.

I understand that we all have wishes, yearnings, and desires in life but we can't have them in just one snap. Just because we want them so much to be part of our lives and we have the ability to do certain things, doesn't mean that it is our job and we exert so much effort until we get weak just to get them.

God gave us life, and the ability to work to live because we are humans who need to finish school and get a job but let Him do the hardest part of our living. Surrendering everything to God will help us not to worry so much if we still don't have the things that we have been praying for. If we are still in the waiting season, embrace it! because it is God's way of saying that He is at work, He is doing something great and special, and He is making something to give you the best.

So when you pray, just believe that it will happen or be given to you because God's promises are true and we can all count on Him for that.

There Are Unanswered Prayers

God is truly good to all of us. He doesn't want us to be in danger, to suffer, and to be lost. God is not a genie that when we want something it will be given in one snap without him even thinking if it will be good for us or not. Let's be thankful that our God is not like a genie, because first of all, He is our Father, what He wants for us is just the good, harmless, and best ones.

God is listening to our prayers and that is definitely true. But since God has His plans and knows all the good things for us, and if our prayers are not aligned with His will, He sometimes does these things.

He makes rejections - I know this is frustrating if one of our prayers is not being answered especially if we really want that thing to be part of us, however, we need to accept that we're not the ones who hold the future. It is God. For example, you applied for a job position in a very popular company and prayed for it for years, but ended up not being selected to be part of the successful candidates for that job. It is really not based on how long we have prayed for something, it is about aligning our prayers to God's will. It only means that God has something greater for you.

He cancels your plans - We tend to force things to make it all happen because of our deep desire for them even if we thought there is nothing wrong with the plans we have or if it is not a bad thing to do. If God sees us making a plan that is not good for us, He makes cancellations of our plans. He will make some hindrances just for that plan to not go through. He wants us to be in a safe zone. For example, if you have been planning to go to a bar with your not-so-good friends, God knows that it is not a good place plus if those people are a good influence on you and the things that you will be doing in that place.

He will give you clarity in a confusing situation - God will never make you confused about something. If He sees you don't know what to do and you thought that you are happy about the situation you are in, He will tap you on the back and will whisper that "child, you are not supposed to be in this situation, let me give you clarity". For example, you have been praying for a partner to be with and you get into a same-sex relationship and you thought you are happy about it because you thought that's what you need and that's who you want to be with for the rest of your life. God will remind you that it is against Him. He wants our identity to be in Christ and not a crisis.

He blocks the road - Sometimes we have been planning and praying for our dream travel vacation to one of the best destinations in the world. But what if there are so many things happening along the road? For example, a flat tire, running out of gasoline, or could be the car engine needs an overhaul to be replaced or repaired. We all know that these things should be checked before leaving, but what if it just happened because God sees something dangerous in your destination that's why He is stopping you or blocking your way. Truly, unanswered prayer is also one of God's protection for all of us.

Remember, when God stops you from doing something, it is His way of re-directing you to something better. So don't be sad if you have unanswered prayers, you should be thankful as they are the most gift that God could ever give to us.

Don't Give Up on Your Prayers

God knows what the future holds and He sees everything we do, or even when we plan ahead of time. He knows everything if it is no good for us that's why there are unanswered prayers because it only means that He is re-directing us to something better.

God knows when to say no to us. But that doesn't mean He doesn't care. In fact, He really cares for us, if He can see everything ahead of us and He saw that it will be harmful to us, He will not just give us everything we want. It will still be checked by Him if it is aligned with His will.

Don't give up on your prayers no matter how long you wait for them because when the perfect time has come, it will be all worth it. And from crying because you have been waiting for so long, to crying because you have received your answered prayers.

Sometimes, miracles take time. So believe when you pray and trust His ways because He truly answers our prayers.
